Cowandilla Charcoal Chicken

I live outside the city but always make the effort to drop by for a meatpack when i'm in the area. Beautiful food and good staff, I really recommend this place.

We brought to roast packs with chips and gravy,
Now I understand they are generous with the gravy, however in this situation it was like soup, the meat and chips were practically swimming and then became soggy as, could not eat at all' was very disappointed to say the lease especially after hearing so much good things.

Best Schnitzel packs. Make sure your hungry because they're big! I dropped a star because I think their chickens could be cooked a bit more for my liking. Great shop though. I'm in my 40's and used to visit this gem of a take away shop with my grandma when I was about 7 or 8 years old. One thing I can never work out about the shop is the clock on the wall. See attached pic. Bizarre

We used their catering for my 21st and my mother’s 50th also; food tastes great and ran by great people. Their chips at the shop taste great too!

Not nice chips were very hard and the chicken was charcoal but it had a very weird taste will definitely not go back.

Love their chicken! I purchased the family meal deal, good value I think. Clean hot chips, good salads and the chicken isn't dry! Highly recommend it.

Didn't realise you could make leather out of chicken but these guts somehow succeeded. 5 x fried chips didn't really hit the spot either. Don't expect I'll ever return. Disappointed as most charcoal chickens normally have good food

Service was bad and didnt listen, asked for more salt and still taste like there isnt much salt. This is very disappointing as other charcoal chicken are amazing, place is huge and has so much they can do with it. The owners need to sell and retire and give to someone with passion

Great charcoal chicken shop! I tried the chips and gravy which were second to none in price and alright in taste. Incredible variety of salads and chicken is fresh

Basic chicken shop. Chips are always good and the oil is always clean and fresh. They have one of the best range of salads i have seen.i find their chickens a bit bland, Fresh there is no stuffing. I actually add a bit of chicken seasoning at home. They do have other hot meals like potato bake or lamb shanks, roasts etc, but you gotta get there before 7pm or they are gone.
The most important thing is service and they bend over backwards for you theyre always friendly, easy to chat with.

A pretty great, old school chip shop, the chips can be a little bit hit and miss, but everything else on the menu is genuinely excellent, especially the potato bake! Everything is priced well, the service is friendly, and it's just all around a really darn good local chicken shop! Would definitely recommend.

Great meats but i really love the salads.both in variety and freshness as I'm trying to eat healthy
. Would not go anywhere else

It has to be the best fish and chip shop in Brooklyn Park. Food quality and value for money, is unbeatable.
