So pleased to have Helen and Ian showed us around the ship. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. We were amazed by the history of the ship, the connection of it to Adelaide and after so many years it’s still here. Also learnt a lot not just about the ship but a bit of background of Bickfords and the Goyder’s line. Very excited to see once it moved to a new spot later this year and the development of precinct. Can’t wait to come back to see it again!

Beautiful old ship is this. I missed the tour by minutes but it was lovely to just look over the ship from the outside. An incredible old girl.

What a beautiful piece of history. Incredible ship with a history like no other. Val was our tour guide and was amazing! He was very informative and answered all of our questions. Thank you again Val, you've made our visit much more enjoyable. We'll see you again when the ship is moved to its new home!

Got to have a look at the outside of this historic ship. You can tour it inside but at a cost. Is restoration and is a significant piece of history.

Well written a visit if you have even a passing interest in the city's history, or in ships. The volunteers are doing a fantastic job of preserving the vessel, as well as presenting it in a manner that draws you into its story.

Do be aware that there are, by necessity, a lot of stairs to be climbed - this is not a pram or wheelchair-friendly exhibit (nor can it be).

An important part of South Australia's history. The volunteers who run the tours are knowledgeable and friendly. The ship that was built in the 1860s and brought immigrants to the colony of SA is brilliant.

Great tour really interesting history, led by passionate volunteers. All proceeds go directly to the restoration project. Ticket gives you 25% off any of the other museums in the area, well worth the money in my opinion

Very interesting - you can really see the artistry of the wood construction! Great volunteers too.

Place is made extra special by the dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who squeezed in a tour right before closing (I’d recommend arriving perhaps 45 min before close). The history of the ship is impressive as is the engineering to get it from a field in Scotland back to Australia.

So much history in this clipper ship in the process of being restored by enthusiastic volunteers. The guided tour was interesting and informative. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of sailing ships and early South Australia.

I always used to make a point of going to see the Carrick when she was moored in Glasgow. I never had the pleasure of boarding her though. I was sad when she was badly neglected and even sank a couple of times. I went over to see her when she was lying in a bad way on a slipway in Irvine in Ayrshire. I was always hoping to see her rescued, but with lots of broken promises and funding falling through several times, I thought she was finally doomed.
Its great she is being slowly restored to her former glory by people who care about her and go the extra mile to save not just the ship itself but her amazing history and legacy. But most importantly, gave her back her proper name. City of Adelaide. Hopefully I can get to visit her one day and finally board and see the ship as she was meant to be.

Went on their website to where this clipper ship will be relocated. Very expensive tickets to see this ship up close. No good for people or children who are in wheelchairs or walking frames. There could be no ramps to the ship to use. A bit unfair to the disabled people & kids who like ancient ships that connect to to our fair city.

A really enjoyable attraction. The volunteers were very knowledgeable about the history of the ship. Get out and experience a bit of history and help get this ship back to its restoration goal.
