Calvary North Adelaide Hospital reviews
32I went thier to pick up a friend and was thier for quite awhile. And the lovely day surgery nursing staff offered to make me a coffee and their also gave me something to eat. I appreciated ever thing they did for me.
Staffs were not kind and not very professional. I wouldn't suggest this hospital for anyone choosing to do any procedure under private insurance. If you are just one of those unfortunate with no choice, may god help you.
Had my left kidney out, aftercare was horrible, nursing staff never updated wall notifications, showed no empathy, confusion all over the place, only my surgeon was okay but don't know why he carries out operating in this place they call a hospital.best thing was getting out of there.my worst experience ever and I've been in some Hospitals,
Food. 3/10
Went in today for a procedure, all the staff were lovely and full off smiles. Thank you to everyone
Caring team of Nurses, Doctors and Allied health. They provide compassionate support to their patients and families.
A big thank you to admin staff, orderlies and your volunteers for their hard work for being the golden thread that keep their teams together.
Special shoutout to Susie and your domestic staff. Thank you for your kindness and dedication to the hospital. You are and will always be greatly appreciated.
Excellent staff in *most* areas of the organisation, always doing their best to help even when flat out. Hospital is clean.
This place is a joke. The only people here I would give stars for are the actual nursing staff who work with you. They get.
As for the rest of it if it wasn’t patients wellbeing on the line it would make a great comedy movie. Everything that could be stuffed up was stuffed up and one resulting in an extra 2 nights stay in hospital. This being my 3rd admission here I guarantee I won’t be coming back by choice ever again.

This hospital and
nursing staff are amazing. So efficient, knowledgable and caring. 3rd time I have had day surgery. Thanks, Maria, Rachel, Nicola, Abi and Emma to name a few.
Facilities were fantastic and everyone was pleasant to deal with. The nurses were also amazing. A credit to their profession.
Fantastic experience from hospital staff from beginning to end. Day Procedure Unit staff were very helpful, supportive and professional. Definitely be back in the future if I need surgery! Very happy patient! Thank you.
This rating is based on comparing the Calvary North Adelaide with the Calvary Central Adelaide only.
I had similar surgery in both hospitals this year. First one was in the city and that was a very good experience. Everything was sorted from the start to the end, Much newer building and updated equipment and I left the hospital at the same day. Next surgery was a week ago in Calvary North and management issues started at the door. My name wasn't in the list at the front desk so they sent me to the wrong section. Then I went to the main reception and my name was there. Half an our later someone took me to a share room to be prepared (doing the paperwork). After 1hr waiting in the room I went to the main desk and asked if they know that I am wait for them or no! They said don't worry just wait in the room. 20 minutes later they came and sorted the paperwork. After the surgery I went to a private room which was old but very clean and I had to stay overnight perhaps because it was too late to be discharged or some other reasons. Old and noisy aircon was the worst part of that night and covering the holes in bathroom wall lining with medical tape was the funny part. I do not have the experience of using other hospitals but for sure I will try somewhere else next time. If you have a choice between Calvary North and Calvary Central forget the Calvary North
I'm so sad that I can't give 5 stars just for the nurse's and doctors, and the kitchen/domestic staff as they all deserve 5. I have been so incredibly well looked after during the last 5 years with an ongoing health issue. Unfortunately it's the management side that has really let me down. Im on a situation that i need to have Iv antibiotics frequently but because it takes the bed away from a surgical patient um no longer allowed to be admitted. Surgical patients make more money. My health issues are serious and have no great quality of life.because of my combined problems, my infections can turn septic as my immune system isint great. So to be refused admission is a bit of an issue! Especially when the public hospital system is on overload. So needless to say I'm in a no win situation and have no real quality of life. I honestly thought this was why I pay for private health insurance. So thanks again to the management side of Calvary for caring sooo much.a few months later and they STILL won't admit me
Had sholder surgery at the Calvary hospital 19/8/2022. I was very happy with the nursing staff with my overnight stay, have shoulder surgery. I was very impressed with one night shift nurse Bronny, one off the most.processional nurse ive come across in a long time. Nothing vas to much trouble for Bronny. The only complaint I have is with the rude young Indian woman at the entrance covid desk, this sort of rude uncaring behavior.should not be tolerated by patients or visitors as some patients can be very nervous to having surgery.
Apart from her. Excellent nursing staff thankyou for so professional.
Thanks again Brent
I came in yesterday for my 10th colonoscopy and 2nd endoscopy.
What a wonderful place is Calvary Hospital. Everyone there is dedicated to making us comfortable.
I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you very much Calvary
. From a delighted day patient

I came here for a day procedure with my son. I would give the staff 5 stars, they were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were okay with everything from the moment we got there to the moment we left. The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because the place is a confusing rabbit warren! I got lost almost straight away trying to find the day procedure unit. Who would have thought that you would need to go out of the building and then back in to access it. Better signage is needed, thankfully the friendly staff helped me to find my way! I would be happy to come here in the future if need be though, as our overall experience was very good.
Came in for a endoscopy and colonoscopy yesterday and what a great experience I had, from the moment I walked in every staff member, nurse and doctor that spoke to me was polite, very helpful and always had a big smile to offer all the way till my procedure was over and I went home. I highly recommend Calvary North Adelaide Hospital if you want a great all around service.
Admitted today for day surgery and from the start it has been terrible. I was rushed from the moment I got here. The care I received after was unacceptable, waiting for attention spaned over 15 minutes the nurse was under so much pressure, I would not recommend this hospital.
40 years ago I has full cranial facial surgery the staff were fantastic.
Today 40 years on I had surgery the hospital is the best in Adelaide
Excellent staff in all areas of the organisation, always doing their best to help even when flat out. Hospital is clean, food is tasty, would recommend.
