Café De Vili's reviews
67 Adelaide institution! If you haven't been then go. Not gourmet by any stretch but great pies and baked good, great hot meal menu and the best chips and gravy in the state!
Plus the staff are lovely and it's open 24 hours for all levels of sobriety!
* There. I gave it a sixth star!
Cheap but tasty and healthy food… a complete menu for the whole day that includes not only meals but also all day snacks… 24/7 cafe with bear…. Best place for odd time dining… highly recommended
Have been here, picked up a GF cake & have also eaten here too. The staff were very helpful & friendly.
Very crowded there today, had a bus load of students there but having said that, service was quick, pies & pasties tasted good too.
Beef Rendang - you can't go wrong!

The owner of this successful South Australian business, Vilmos (Vili) Milisits, aged 72, died last night in Sydney from complications following a successful lung transplant.
An immigrant from Hungary who arrived with nothing, Vili was known for his generous work for more than 50 charities. This South Australian icon will be sadly missed.
Food is alright, coffee is horrible don’t even bother, service is reasonably fast but not friendly at all. Give it a miss.
How about serving the workers first! 2 days in a row I came in and spoke to a couple of workers who were on break. They weren't served until pretty much last until I said something to let them be served first. Poor effort as far as im concerned
Best place ever! Great service, great food and great gravy:) They do give me too many chips but it's my fault for eating all of them
It's very hot and miss here, mostly miss. Pies are ok. Everything else usually very ordinary. I'm such of getting reheated hours old chips and doggy lettuce as an excuse for a meal I'm paying over $15 for
I love the baked goods here, they always taste fresh. When I order their meals the portions are always generous and will fill you up. Low prices but the food is quality, always open only thing I don't like is it can sometimes be busy and when it is, staff are keen to get to the next customer, making the experience feel rushed.
️️ door is a bit heavy and a bit heavy, not sure if there is a disabled toilet. Tables/chairs can fit a wheelchair up to the table though. Counter is quite high.
My god the best pies in the world from Villi's, have been away for 4 years, used to go here heaps, just came back and tried them again with an FUIC and was back in love. Staff are always easy going, happy to help.
Side note if you haven't had the chips and gravy, definitely go it they are awesome!
Gosh! I bought a $7 bowl of chips with Gravy which was a much smaller serve than anywhere else I've ever gone, and a 1.5 ltr bottle of water. I asked for a glass with ice and was prepared to pay and the staff member asked a senior and she said "we don't offer glass with ice" so we guzzled out of our huge bottle in the cafe how imbarrasing!
6.30am Sunday morning. Greeted warmly by staff, no problem varying the menu to suit my needs.
Quick service and the Breakfast looked brilliant with generous portions, hot and tasted great.
The icing on the cake, the Coffee was also great.
100% recommendation.
Waited an hour for our breakfast. Asked how much longer, lady was quite rude. Wouldn't come back here in a hurry
The staff were friendly, meal portions were good and the atmosphere was nice, but we won't be coming back.
Cheap, derro food with a high price tag.
Nearby Afghan and Vietnamese eateries are cheaper with much higher quality food.
If you grew up eating fish and chips and microwave dinners you'll probably enjoy it.
Villis is a fantastic place to grab a coffee, sandwich, meal or snack. They also do catering. Thank You Jesus! Go there.
Terrible service.ordered two items over the phone repeating and asking for descriptions of items as we ordered. Two of us were on my end of the call. Drove to pick up and waited a ridiculous amount to be acknowledged with two women just reading their hand at my face to say don't even speak at me.so rude! Then I was told I only ordered one item! The woman lied and said she had only had one call and that we ordered one thing.she refused to budge and struck to her lies.
Perfect place to go anytime of the day when you're in need of hot food. Good place for breakfast and late night supper especially. Take note it can get very busy at breakfast and lunch time.
I really like the food but the prices are a bit high for some items. I've had good and bad staff experiences here but overall it's a good place to go to and its open 24/7 so it's good if your'e up late and want a meal
Quick service. Very friendly staff, came over to have a chat with the baby. Nice food and chair latte. Asked for a weak long black but it came out really strong.
