Cafe Bang Bang reviews
82 Great coffee
Good food
May not get exactly what you ordered
Either way it's sure to be delicious
Think of it as a breakfast roulette.
Nice atmosphere and staff friendly but coffee was undrinkable over heated burnt taste. Shame as didn't have time to sit longer and ask them to make again.
Pretty good option for the late afternoon when many places are shut. Food options are still reasonable and coffee isn't and strong, just how it should be.
Great coffee - Dirty Chai is one of the best I've found around of late. Breakfast there was also top notch - large table order with changes was handled without an issue. And fast too!
Great staff.food quality excellent.great place to catch up in the city.pity closes at 8pm saturday nites.
Good coffee but customer service is bad; very rude and doesn’t care what customers are asking and service staff do whatever they want and also rude behaviour from one of the gent staff who takes the order
Very slow service, coffe didn't taste good. I've asked for a latte and it was a sort of cappuccino with lot of foam and a bit of burned coffee.
The latte has been served in a dirty cup.
Cool, vibrant place right on the corner of quite a busy pedestrian street. The place has great atmosphere with awesome coffee and friendly staff serving it up. The place is licensed so you can purchase alcohol and there’s sandwiches and cakes available for snacks. There’s no WiFi or power points but there is the Adelaide city free WiFi available if you can connect to that. #BeatTheGrind
This is the second time i have been here on a saturday 3 minths apart and thought i would give it another go. Same super slow service as last time. Coffee came out after 20 mins.food still on its way. Dissapointing
Great coffee, love flatwhite, friendly staff, affordable but great quality coffee beans and great cakes.
Own preference- a sweeter coffee- it was ok, but I wouldn’t buy again. I’d rather my CIBO. Very friendly staff and nice set up.
The asparagus in this breakfast dish was a great addition! Something different and made it fresh and filling.
Thanks guys
Really nice brunch in adelaide, a choice won't go wrong. But the food was better one year ago, not as impressed as the first time
We were looking for a nice spot for breakfast before a long day at the convention center. This little cafe certainly delivered.
The breaky roll and late was amazing. The black bun was a nice touch too.
The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the bacon, though not a crispy as I like was super tasty and not chewy.
My only criticism would be, that it is a touch pricey but only a couple of bucks to high, so no stars lost.
The pic is my roll, pardon the fact I cut into it before taking the picture. I was so excited to eat, the thought of a picture came second.
I was disappointed. I was looking for a different place for my morning coffee and pastry or b&e roll. This place looked good and was open, so I tried it.
The Breakfast Burger was $14 by itself, but I didn’t want to keep wandering around looking for a place, and thought it must be good for this price, so I gave it a go.
It was just standard scrambled eggs, with bacon, some spinach and relish in a charcoal brioche bun, at least it was freshly prepared though. But it was bland, the bun was a bit stodgy and the scrambled eggs had no ‘special’ flavour you might expect from a $14 breakfast burger. They throw in two potato cakes, but these are just cheap frozen ones from the supermarket and I could do without. The mocha I got was okay, but a little too much chocolate powder, should have ordered the flat white.
Service started off ok, but past the initial greeting was pretty average, not sure he liked that I ordered something with bacon.
Considering I can get a bacon & egg roll and a large coffee at numerous places elsewhere for under $10, both of which are better than these offerings, I am unlikely to return here.
Great corner cafe. Lots of space inside and outside (can get a little warm inside though). Went back to this cafe every morning during a week trip to Adelaide because of the great fresh options. Poached eggs were a win. Worth a mention is their ability to toast their ciabatta toast in a way that you can still cut it and eat it without destroying your breakfast or hurting your mouth (I find it can get quite tough and crusty when toasted). In this way I recommend the charcoal toast with Avocado. One down side was ordering a piccolo each morning (to have after food) which never came without a second request.
As the old saying goes 'a crowd draws a crowd' this was our experience as we strolled the Adelaide streets at 7: 30sm looking for a place that would fulfil our coffee dreams. From across the street the warm glow of this cafe and the people sitting outside drew my attention. The cafe looked warm and inviting and as we walked inside my expectations were met through the warm yellow glow and the rustic veneer. Nearly all the tables were already taken but we managed to find one.
I will list my review on each aspect of our visit.
But first coffee.
If this review was based solely on the coffee it would be 5 stars. Hot and strong and oh so delicious. I'm hard pressed to remember a better coffee.
The food.
I ordered a croissant which was delicious but it was brought out with our coffees and my husbands food (bacon and eggs) wasn't brought out until I was well finished eating mine, I would have preferred they were brought out together. And speaking of the bacon and eggs, the menu cites 'crispy American style bacon' but it was definitely not crispy and I even heard the person next to us mutter the same thing when he received his breakfast before us. So that was disappointing.
Service was ok.
The young lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful but the people serving the tables seemed a little abrupt.
All in all I would definitely go back for the coffee which in itself was a 5 star cup.
Excellent food, however when busy staff were really not attentive and pesky flies would have been better enjoyed elsewhere. Overall good vibe and tasty coffee but the service could improve.
Take away toast is served DIY to someone who's arm is in a sling!
I bought take away so it would be ready to go. Not so that I have to find somewhere to sit down and apply the butter and Vegemite myself. Last time I'll go here.
A stylish rustic setting and your usual barista coffee and cakes. A nice quiet place to wind down after a big day.
