Byethorne Park reviews
37Really lovely restructuring. Not toddler friendly unless you have big toddlers. Lots of open space, good line of sight from most areas to accommodate free exploration. Be water safe.
A serene pond with ducks, some newly refreshed play equipment for the kids with fresh grass area.
Good place, but the flying fox needs amending for children 5 to 10 yrs to make it safely usable ny t them. Over 10 yrs, n o problems. It's too high. Other wise, all good.
Its a much used area for picnics meeting up with people and dog walking. Unfortunately a lot of dog walkers don't pick up after their dogs do their business. The council needs to provide doggie bags at each entrance to this park with warning signs to help eliminate this problem.
A great place to spend time out for the both the kids and parents, take your shoes off and put the grass between you toes, bring some pellets for the ducks [ to much bread is not good ] and just kick back. Clean P/Toilets.
Good park with ducks and a lake, local food truck from Nairne comes here every now and then. Toilets are nice and clean.
Nice park with a few playground things to play on for kids but a lovely large pond with fountain with lots of ducks to feed. A sheltered bbq area and toilets are available.
A pleasant little slice of tranquillity that is utterly ruined around 5pm by the traffic on Woodside road. Would be really nice is a little money was spent on irrigation to keep the grass green and some more native plants happy too, but these are all small gripes to have such a lovely little lake in walking distance from my home
Beautiful park with lake bbq playground, feed the ducks, or let the little ones fish, dog friendly highly recommended.
Not alot for kids to play on atm except for the big rope pyramid, but it has ducks (Fish?), a big pond, ONE undercover bbq area which is kind of lame considering the size of the area 'used'. Has disabled access toilet onsite which is a good idea if you're a tourist.
Hopefully the govt fiiiiinally get off their bums and organise the expansion sooner rather than later when its an election point again. Its not that difficult in their field of work surely. Be nice for THIS generation to enjoy it more.
Not toddler friendly as no fenced areas and on the edge of a large dam, a busy train line and on main road but it is a nice park if you assist your children
A great public park with clean and BBQ area. A pond with friendly ducks to feed and a play ground for the kids.
Lovely park with a lake you can walk around and play equipment for young children. There's a free BBQ as with most Australian parks and toilets available in the car park. Plenty of parking space in the carpark and is easily accessible off woodside Rd. But for some reason there's very few bins around and even with the free BBQ there's seating with tables. I'm saying that there is a largish lawn area that can be used to set up tables and chairs.
A pleasant spot for people to visit with a free bbq and toilets available, however, there is only one rubbish bin and free doggy bags are rarely replenished. A lack of play space for kicking games will hopefully be attended to in the future with expansion of the area intended. The lake is very pleasant with a fountain when working and cute sculptures abound as you amble around the area.
A nice duck lake, with wooden bridges, which you can see all the way around. BBQ area with toilets, and a small child's playground, plus a spider net for the older children. There is also somewhere to sit whilst watching at the playground.
Toilets, playground, BBQ, and a walking track around the lake.
The playground is best suited to school aged children.
Shelters to enjoy your picnic or BBQ or just to suit and enjoy the view.
Plenty of parking space.
