Brighton Sunday Market reviews
41Love the Brighton market, today 12/11/23 we had to walk around in the carpark as the stallholders were saying the sprinklers were on on the lawn, so people are not happy about that. Plus not enough car parks everyone had to park on the streets. And lots of people where turned back with there stuff because there was no room for them. Hope they get there act together for the next time.
Years of going to this and it’s still consistent in quality. That’s pretty good for an outdoor market.
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Fun mornings out trying to find interesting things to buy - got many cacti and plants here, always get some fresh fruit and veggies as well.
Go everytime it's on, rain or shine, usually bag a bargain or two. Changing my review to a 2 star. The market has moved to the carpark, only 50 stalls, usually the same ones, people with car loads of goods to sell turned away. No longer worth the time, effort, petrol money to go. Until this changes back to the oval I will not be attending the markets. Thus is the first year that they have done this continuously week after week and I've been coming since the market started. Will not try to bring goods to sell if I'm going to be turned away, and it is NOT raining.
Our first time to the Brighton market.
It's fantastic!
A great range of goods, produce and food to buy.
Wonderful first visit, good 2nd hand market items. Great value on some things too. Will be visiting again. Downside is not enough parking so will need to walk from side streets.
Sales went well, where as needs entertainment for families and the kids.
Jumping castle, kid's rides, and a stage for music.
Could have a flat tray truck on the side of the oval as a stage.
Like 30 garage sales in one, it's always a good day when I remember which week it's on.
Be cool if it ran a tiny bit later since I regularly wake up at 1pm, but understandable why it shuts when it does.
Make sure to slap slop slip/bring water, since little shade? Also definitely bring cash, otherwise you'll miss out on that cool cash only blood pressure monitor you convinced yourself you needed
Side note: If you see a 20 something man with gold rim glasses, make sure to say hello and give him a crisp $50 note for this helpful review.
We couldn't find anything that we liked the look of but I can see how this is a great place to wander around for half an hour. Nice combination of proper retailers and car boot style sellers. A few food options to grab something hot or cold
I love the bric-a-brac you can see here. I haven't seen a K-Tel record organiser but I'm sure I will one day.
Its not a big market but an interesting mix of some local farmers producers and a car boot sale. You probably can't do your full market shopping here.however, that said, I got some good local oranges and mandarins when I visited & local olive oil which was great.:)
Not as busy this week being a long weekend. Wish the original food produce stalls that were there before Covid would come back.
We love this place. It's always fun and full of great bargains and the fruit and veg is cheaper than Coles and Woolies - AND you're supporting local SA producers, unlike Cole and Woolies.
Easy way to spend Sunday morning and make a few dollars on the side, only downside no Sunday mail sellers anymore
Love a good market! Brighton Market is well laid out and always worth a stroll around.fresh food, plus fruit & veg, means you always go home with some little extra!
I had my SP stall at Brighton Sunday Market. The Brighton Sunday Market is a great place to have a stall and to spend your Sunday shopping-open-air and relaxed atmosphere.
We went and the market wasnt on saw some cutie birbs though. Last time i went to the market it was awesome, bring family
Love shopping at the car boot sales, never know what bargains you may find, usually very cheap, and excellent fruit and vegetables and baked goods. Great way to spend a Sunday morning. Winter is not the best time, but spring and autumn are really good, summer can be very hot as there is not much shade.
It was alright, heard it was on the smaller side due to restrictions but was good layout and some good things to look at. Food and drink option would have been better then just a coffee stand.
