Bowman Park reviews
41Really nice nature playground my 1 year old really enjoyed running around having fun. Toilets were clean and it’s a real nice little park.
Beautiful big reserve free self contained camping.great walks stunning big trees a real gem of a place absolutely one of the best forest reserves in South Australia' situated at the start of the southern Flinders ranges.wildlife toilets oval great parking and picnic day facilities.
Kids playgrounds truly a fantastic initiative by the Crystal Brook community and a magical resource for the port Pirie area.
No phone reception here but it is fully worth a look and just go for a walk it's an amazing place.
A lovely place to see some ruins, a wonderful walk through garden, picnic area & birds wondering freely. Lovely family spot
RVs welcome
Places for serenity, places for kids to play and explore, places to camp and record the frogs and birds singing
What a magnificent camp. It is a donation camp site with toilets, walking trails, BBQs, resident peacocks and amazing parks and gardens. We had a lovely campfire at night and it was very safe here.
Love the old buildings around and behind the old buildings when you walk further up the mountain you will get to a lovely lookout platform, make sure you do this.

This Park is so quiet at night and plenty of walking tracks to adventure around. Barbecue area, Oval for kicking a ball around and toilets. A very nice place to stay overnight for RVs and Motorhome with self contained
A great little low-cost camp area with awesome amenities. It has a great playground for the kids, a well-grassed footy oval and heaps of walking trails, plus a few historic buildings to boot. Definitely worth a fiver per night to help keep it open!
Just tucked away 5klms out of Chrystal Brook. New toilet block, town water, no showers. Stayed 1night could easily have stayed 2. Worth the extra drive.
Great camping area, new toilets, yes wouldn't it be nice if showers were included unfortunately not.
Still top shelf spot, donation, very child friendly.
A pleasant stroll through the native garden. I could've spent hours exploring, great place to bring the family for a unique day out of bonding, I loved my time spent here
THIS is a must, on the Hysen Trail it is a very peaceful and picturesque little gem. An array of Giant gums and lots of native flora. A couple of resident peakocks so be sure to keep your dog in leash. Big flat grass area to play ball. There is also a nature play area for the family to enjoy, the even kept the 'Original Brook Homestead' too admire the old ways.
If you get the chance, swing by Kupsh Bakery and stop and have some lunch in the Beautiful Scrub at Bowman Park only 3 kms out of township
Only complaint way too many flies. Great place to take children for adventure and promote imaginative play
Get on it people, this place is awesome. Kids loved, missus loved and I loved it. Great little/short walks, plenty of natural playground for everyone to enjoy. Pack a picnic and hit it up. We travelled 2 hours to get here and will do it again. It's about a 10 min drive from Crystal brook. Public toilet and a bbq area available. RV parking available and plenty of birds/bee life.
Excellent place for the children to play on the adventure play ground, great atmosphere and facilities for all ages
Would get 5 stars if the toilets were maintained! The surroundings are beautiful, tracks, flat land to stay overnight, beautiful native flora and fauna! Seems popular over long week end!
Great for picnics and BBQ's, free camping for caravans and RV's, very quiet and can light a fire in winter
Top attraction for children who are into outdoor playing, climbing, exploring and generally running around. The 'oval' is large making plenty of space for the children to kick a footy about. The Heysen Trail passes through the park, so there plenty of tracks to walk. BBQ facilities are available, making the park a great day's outing.
You will need to take your own food as there is no shop
Lovely place to camp overnight. Kids loved exploring the nature playground. Toilets nice and clean
Awesome open air retreat. Great for a family day trip in the country side. Good re-use of area.
Lovely spot about four kilometres from Crystal Brook, via Heysen trail. Green, watered oval is an oasis in summer.
A great way to experience it is to walk down the creek from the north along the Heysen trail from Hughes’ gap.
