Bowman Park reviews
41 Great family friendly park with alot of the old buildings and home stead this standing. Has a nature playground and a free RV camping area.
Pleanty of space but no camping is allowed which is abit ridiculous for the area real down side
Beautiful self contained RV camp nice bush setting, can hold about 12 vans, has walking tracks, toilets and water, birds, a couple of peacocks, picnic tables and an oval, definitely a great spot
Beautiful bush camp that my partner said was a standout for him on our 2500km week long adventure.
The birdsong in the evening and the morning was the best part of this spot for me, just beautiful!
Creepy, but interesting buildings to walk around and have a nosey and a decent climb up to a lovely view of the hillside, but the biting ants made it unpleasant.
Clean and stocked toilets, level camping and a nice drive into the area aswell.
Excellent spot. Great park for kids.
Lyrebirds and Kangaroos.
Very interesting history. Clean toilets.
Stayed one night in our RV excellent spot, clean toilets.great natural play park for the children. Walked up to the look out and saw kangaroos near it. Bq s near the adjacent to the toilets and lots of old interesting buildings to check out recommend this place very peaceful
A lovely historical site. Fabulous place for kids, grassed oval, inventive bush playground. Big old gum trees. Clean toilets, water tap behind toilets with portable water. Hope Council finds a commercial partner to preserve and develop the site.
Stayed 2 nights (maximum allowed). Close to Crystal Brook hotels and cafes and short drive to Port Pirie's cafes and museums.
A beautiful shady spot with clean amenities. A great place to get away for a couple of days if you have a fully contained RV set up. Has a wonderful restful and calming ambience about the place.
BEAUTIFULL nature Park with SO much to view & relaxing area's to take in the Beauty! Just a great place to be. ️
Great facilities toilet, shade, BBQ, grassed oval, trees, creek, easy all weather access even for 2wd vehicles.
Beautiful camp ground with shade, clean toilets, amazing playground for kids, old homestead and out buildings to explore. Lots of history here! It's even got a function centre, but not sure if still available for bookings.
Would definitely recommend, all for a donation for upkeep
Very nice, lots of walks u can do toilets can have a fire, was a wedding wen we were there, in the old home stead. All was quiet sa few ks into Crystal brooke
Beautiful wildlife. Kangaroos, beautiful birds, and colourful friendly peacocks. Great caravan rest area with BBQs, toilets, and a big oval for dogs to run on.
Beautiful country park for various activities for the family including bushwalking, picnics or for a general look around.
Beautiful camp under the gum trees but with enough sun for solar power. Playground, nature walks, old ruins and peacocks. This place is pretty special. Even though the signs say no generators, there's always that one guy who ruins it by running his genny all day anyway
Peacocks, interesting buildings, kids adventure stuff, and beautiful view from top short walk behind buildings. The toilets/basic facilities appear clean and modern. Looks alright for caravan/picnic also.
All in all quite a nice location.
Love Bowmans park. Great facilities, history and natural vegetation. Many memories of camping days, Girl Guides staying in the shearers accomadation. Rodeos and nature walks. Would love the old buildings restored.
Outstanding children’s playground and native cottage garden areas. Toilets, potable water, playing field. Historic homestead ruins. Peacocks. A real treasure. Bring a cash donation.
Bowman's Park is a beautiful scenic campground. It has spacious nature inspired playground for children amidst the several ruins of old stone walled homes. There is a richness and eeriness of forgotten history that seemed to be reclaimed by nature itself. The camping spot are largish and can accommodate several caravans/motorhomes.the campground hosts several majestic peacocks that walk around the area. There is hired hall next to a unisex toilet block. Water is available however generators are unfortunately not allowed. Mobile/internet signal is next to nothing and during the day you get bathe with flies. There in is no electricity here and you'll hear the boisterous cry of peacocks day and night. All in all its a good camp to stay overnight.
