Bloom reviews
55A lovely little oasis! Great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly which is always a plus. The smoothies were nice. The food was delicious and hearty. Love the potato hash! A really relaxing brunch spot.
A beautiful place close to the city. Food portions were on the smaller side but yummy. Coffee, meh. But I’d return for the food. I spied a boozy brunch option. 3P parking available along holland street. Loads of space and table available, service friendly.
Wouldn’t let me order a kids meal for myself (cycling to the coast and didn’t want a big lunch), but the smashed avocado was nice. Iced coffee was good.
Somewhat a hidden gem brunch place as it is on the south side of the River Torrens opposite the Entertainment Centre. Worthwhile at least a visit with japanese brunch fusion inspired menu.
The food was solid but it is the environment that makes Bloom 5/5. Spacious areas which are indoors but give a semi outdoor feel and plentiful lighting. Suitable for couples or even large groups (need to book though). Perfect place for a boozy brunch.

Service was really poor. They only give you a 1.45 hour slot, because they overbook themselves. They seated us 15 minutes after our reservation time, and then we sat at our table without so much as even a drink for 30 minutes. They didn’t take our order for food for 45 minutes. We then had barely finished our food before they tried to boot us off the table because the next group arrived. We were a group on 6, but had less than an hour to eat and drink. The staff were mostly lovely, with the exception of the manager John who was rude and unapologetic about the situation.
Just not sure about this place. The venue is absolutely beautiful. Love the decor and styling, however the vibe felt off. Staff seemed cold and failed to see a smile while we were there. Food was good, lovely juice.
Quite overpriced- $14 for a singular crumpet with butter and $20+ for one piece of rye bread with avocado and some garnish. Parking was a bit of an issue, as it was very busy. Nice staff but wayyyyy too expensive for what was being provided.
There was no A/C. Ruined the whole experience. 39 degree weather and the ambient temperature was no different to outside. Sorry guys as lovely as the food was you need to invest in a good AC that can cool a large area. They do exist and there really is no excuse other than what your willing to spend to ensure your patrons are comfortable Year round.
Would give it 6 stars if I could!
The service is impeccable. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, more than happy to discuss about the meals and coffee.
The venue is gorgeous, with a boutique, modern, botanical vibe. The smell of wood oven pizza and freshly roasted coffee makes for a delightful aroma!
They provide table service, complimentary sparkling water or still, plus a cute tray of salted sunflower seeds. The seating is generously spacious. Outdoor alfresco dining or indoor options.
Food and coffee:
I ordered a soy mocha and a finger bun. This was no ordinary finger bun. Alcoholic limoncello custard centre, with berry compote and dried blood orange topping. The finger bun itself was closer to a baguette. Very photogenic, but mainly it was delicious!
The coffee was particularly smooth and velvety, no bitter taste at all. As it was a mocha, the chocolate was not too strong and it balanced out the coffee. I would like to try their iced mocha next time. However the size doesn't change much, iced or hot the cups look the same size.
The barista was more than happy to discuss the roasts and blends they use.
Fantastic experience and I will be back for a special event in the future!
Nice atmosphere very yuppie very noisy good service friendly
Food is explained in a very flowery way on menu so don't be fouled eggs and bacon is still egg and bacon. A little bit price (not too much to keep me away). However I found the sourdough very hard to cut and the bacon a little bit burnt.
Our new favourite place for breakfast.
A friend brought us in today for the first time and we love it.
Amazing menu. Refreshing not to have the same breakfast everyone is having.
Unique, high quality, fresh, tasty without being drowned in oil and it's a beautiful place with friendly and professional staff.
Thank you
The place was packed, we reserved a table for 4 at 12: 40. We weren't seated until 12: 55, food was not received until 1: 45 and we had to leave by 2! The waiters were friendly and were helpful.
Underwhelmed by the food for the price! I ordered the smashed avo and it lacked substance. A friend of mine ordered the roast vegetables - all the vegetables were still raw and barely cooked. The poached eggs, I think were the only thing that were even a good size and tasted okay.
Only thing I would recommend is the coffee, including the chai latte!
We booked ages ago and understood we were on standby, but they didn’t provide any response or follow up feedback on our status. We were told to wait in the garden and would be brought some refreshments or coffee, not one person approached us (extremely dissatisfied). We saw one staff member giving a guided tour which based on the surroundings is a complete waste of time.
I will be posting on my Facebook site the complete dissatisfaction of Bloom and the inattentive staff. We will never attend this venue and will continue to give it a bad rating.
Very much enjoyed Bloom. The food is good and is done in a very creative way. I hear the Bottomless Brunch is awesome. The staff were super friendly and very helpful.
An amazing place! The venue is unique, the food was incredible and presented nicely and the staff were lovely. Had one of the best breakfasts.
So lucky to have Bloom in our neighbourhood. Always inventive offerings on their menu, the food is always delicious and the staff are always excellent. Whilst booking is encouraged walk ins are welcome and they manage to balance both. Great vibe.
Loved the Haloumi and spiced potatoes! Plenty of vegetarian options. Staff very friendly - thanks for the banter, waitress with the soy sauce earrings! Good to be back wine + dining in a beautiful spot like Bloom after lockdowns in Melbourne.
Amazing spot! The staff were friendly and attentive and food was delicious. We did the Friday $70 bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint!
It’s hard to say what’s better; the amazing staff, the decor or the food. Treat yourself and eat at bloom ️
Had a great breakfast with my Partner at this awesomely beautiful establishment situated in a serene location away for all the traffic of cars and noise of factories near what used to be the connecting road from Manton St over this now walkway that takes you over a stream to Holland Rd, the setting is calm and well organised inside eatery and outdoors area has plenty of tables and shady umbrellas. I would recommend to all to attend as you won't be disappointed ALSO they are very pet friendly and supply fresh water for your pets.
