Black Bull Hotel reviews
48Now been waiting for food for 2 hours. Ask twice, don't even get an apology just told to wait. Gooooood one.
Bit of variety for vibes with the different sections up and downstairs. Not as confusing to navigate as it used to be a decade ago
It was not a good time for my brother and friends, very dour mood in the complex. A poor man dropped his wallet and it was a matter of seconds but it was picked up & gone just like that. No staff showed any empathy & a woman saw it happen & said nothing. The poor man lost 500 before it began.
Came here today for a steak and was blown away. I'm a steak lover and been to plenty high end steak restaurants, and this place has most of them beat. This is no ordinary pub steak, but restaurant quality. Thank you to the Chef that works here, you are pretty darn good at your job. P. S. Was quite surprised that the place was almost empty, perhaps it's the stigma of a pub, but honestly you can just as good if not better steak here than any high end restaurant in Adelaide. Bravo.
No gluten free options on the menu. Had to ask the bar staff who asked the chef. Came back with a couple of options one of which was the Caesar salad without croutons for $20 which was basically some lettuce and sauce
It was our night to Celebrate and at the end of it we were glad we chose to share the day with Black Bull hotel. The staff were friendly. The ambience was great. Had some beers and Wedges accompanied by cream sour and sweet chilli sauce. What a combination! Amazing experience.
First time customer we came the night of the queen concert, my friends had booked and said we were going to the concert, the venue being so close I thought you would have put extra team on, the food was good but took forever for our meals to come out and when they did we had to eat very quickly. The manager was nice enough to give us a discount on our food, but still feel this could have been avoided. Will return, but not on a night when one of the biggest bands in the world is in town.
The staff here obviously have no idea of RSA laws, people that could barely stand still being served, others being allowed to drink until they vomited and only then were made to leave. It's in Hindley St which pretty much says it all.
As a person of color, I was so mistreated here and called a racist. I don't leave negative reviews but I've never received this kind of treatment in my life. Mind you I've traveled many countries and not once was I judge my a security guard. This place has no respect and caters to white people.
Nice place and the pizza is great! Good variety of beer and the staff were friendly. I did not like the smell of cigarette smoke throughout the restaurant however. There is a smoking area to the front and the smoke wafts in the whole place and is not pleasant while eating.
Friendly staff last time the pizza was very nice.this time the chicken wings were so salty didn't enjoy. The pizza was also extra salty I was so thirsty after eating this
Steaks pretty small for the price which was big. Apart from that the chimchirri sauce was the wrong color and extremely hot! Otherwise nice chairs, nice and warm on a cold Adelaide night!
Stables is a fine drinking establishment, with huge tv for sports and an array of beverages aimed at a younger crowd, such as cider slurpee.
As Queenslander, it was disappointing to see a foreign spiced rum on the pre-mix tap. They sell wine from Adelaide in Brisbane, but apparently Bundy doesn't transport as well.
One of the best atmospheric pizza bars you will go to. Obviously great pizza, wonderful aesthetic and just a place you want to stay in
Seating in back is nice and great big screen for games. Pizza is made with quality ingredients and right amount of toppings.
I go here often because I travel to adelaide every week for business. The food is good but the service has been getting steadily worse. Walked out tonight because no one took my order or even brought water to the table for 20 minutes. Fix your service and I will come back
I dont often write reviews but this was absolutely ridiculous on a monday night. I would give 0 stars if i could. We were the first to order and the last to get our meals. Waited 50 minutes for a medium steak and it came out well done after asking where it was twice. And still came out well done? Paid $47 for a eye fillet steak and all they could offer was a 50 % off if i wanted to get another one cooked. But why would i do that just to wait another 50 minutes? ! Not happy.
Exceptional service and food. We were very pleased with our stakes. I didn't expect this quality and service on "notorious " Hindley st.
Good casual relaxed atmosphere for a wind down drink with colleauges. One bar attendant in paticular was great, sorry didnt get a name. Would love to see the niteclub in action on the weekend looks like a unique venue
Came here on two occasions while visiting Adelaide over 4 days. First time was just for beers and the second time was with a group of 6 for dinner. We all ordered steaks with varying degrees of doneness – all six came out nearly well done – definitely not what I had asked for which was medium rare. The sides were tasty but overcooked steak was a letdown.
