Excellent utilities and rooms are not that far from the pool. I will recommend this for anyone that is looking for a get away for a couple of nights.

Stayed 2 nights powered sites. Kids had a good time.
Would benefit from a better water play area. Seems a little behind the times compared to other places we have stayed. But staff friendly, well kept grounds and would recommend for people with kids up to about 12 years old. Very big park.

I loved it there, so much to do, took the grandkids and they we're swimming in the heated pool 8: 30 in the morning and when we were leaving asked if we could come back for a week I'll be back for sure

Disappointing.
This park felt like a let down from the get go. We arrived and checked in at 4.30pm on a Saturday, set up our van and then headed out to the supermarket. Turns out in Adelaide these shut at 5pm on the weekend?
I feel like this is very helpful information to give to interstate travelers when checking in.

The toilets were all broken in some way or another (locks / lids/ holders) and were filthy all day every day. They are cleaned once per day, first thing in the morning but with so many visitors it’s impossible for one clean to be enough.

The park has lots of recreational options for kids, but for a park this size there is no where near enough, and all are a huge walk away if your site is not central. The pool and jumping pillow were packed from the The minute they open until the minute they close.

The movie every night is not always family friendly (which wouldn’t be an issue except that in 5 days we were there every movie was m15 so unfortunately couldn’t enjoy this even though we were all excited for this! There is no way to tell before you lugg your chair and family down to the start of the movie.

WI-FI may as well not be connected. Why is it so hard to get wifi in a caravan Park? At worst it interferes with your mobile data so you have to switch wifi off. At best your device simply doesn't register there is any wifi so carries on a normal on mobile data. This meant that we couldn't have our movie nights we'd planned. The movie that was put on by the park was impossible to hear so we gave up on that too.
We stayed in a Larry lobster cabin - it's very nice and was spotlessly clean. The couch and beds were comfy.
The pool was just warm enough to be able to get into however my skinny 8yo was still freezing within 15 minutes. I'm sure I read that it was heated to 28°, I don't think it was while we were there.
It's a very big park (especially if you're right siren one end like we were) and you have to leave the park to buy food so bear this in mind if you have younger children.
My kids had a great time on the bouncy pillow and in the pool and it was nice to be at a beachside caravan Park where the beach is actually close by and not still a 20 minute trek.
Overall I'm grateful that my middle child refused to come because there would have been a meltdown over the lack of wifi given it said there is wifi.
I don't think we'd stay here again as we live in Adelaide so really we want the park itself to be entertaining. I think I'd go to the one next door next time because it has waterslides.
It was nice to have a short get away with 2 of my kids before one moves away.

No kids, so don't care about jumping pillows and similar. Would be great if you had kids though, there are plenty of friends running around. It is expensive but then it's close to Adelaide. However expensive and lack of maintenance is another thing, most of their washing machines don't work and nothing appears to being done to fix this. Their showers are also amongst the worst I have experienced as the hot water is very low pressure so a gusher shower head is basically a dribbler. Also there are no NRV so if you turn the cold on to a normally reasonable amount, you can expect the hot water pipes to fill up with cold water which I would assume would confuse most people trying to adjust the taps for a desirable temperature.

Great family park. Booked in advance so rooms were cheap. Pool even heated enough kids could swim in July! Beach access amazing.

An excellent park - we really felt like we were out of the thick of the city, while still being close to everything we needed. I see some complaints about aircraft noise or 'lack of tranquility' due to many families and kids in the park, or even price though believe this surely must be down to unrealistic expectations? Having travelled all year around Australia, AND having stayed in this park for 3 weeks (while being a big fan of free camps!), I have given this 5 stars, for the following reasons:

- a great range of facilities, especially for kids
- great 'wet weather'/all weather areas such as the camp kitchens, hub, tv rooms and games rooms etc (this is often lacking even in parks with many facilities)
- heated pool
- ability to purchase snacks and basic grocery supplies on site
- cleanliness of facilities
- value - I would not expect something on the beach and in close proximity to tourist areas and the city to be priced any lower than this. Big 4 membership also helps with price.
- customer service - every member of staff we dealt with was pleasant, professional and helpful (especially when our car broke down on check out and we were delayed in moving off site)
- security (we felt our property was safe and secure.realising this is a personal judgement call)
- grounds - beautifully maintained, used herb garden quite a bit, great shady spots and areas to sit and watch the beach, grass was wonderful. Because of the layout this park felt quite spacious and 'green'.

In a city we would often split our time between one to three different parks, just to mix things up, but could find no reason to want to do this once we entered this park. We had a really great experience here and would return. Thank you!

Awesome spot backing onto the beach. We hired some bikes and rode to Glenelg for lunch. Lots of places you can walk to and grab a beer or a bite. Warm swimming pool, lots of stuff for the kids and super clean. In my top 10 of caravan parks.
Thanks West Beach

Top place but very expensive for over night sites for a van stay. If the weather is warm a cool breeze if the weather is bad not a nice place to stay.

A very well maintained and lovely park, one of the better ones in the Adelaide area. Facilities are plenty and cater for everyone, families especially. Our grand kids could've spent all day in the water park and pool. I'd personally give it 5 stars, but for those of you who like peace and tranquillity, you won't get it - as kids (as well as some adults) do make quite a lot of noise. But overall, great place.

A great local getaway with everything for the kids. Waterpark, Pool, Entertainment Room. Holiday Park backed onto Beautiful West Beach and food to buy in the Cafe if needed. Cabins can rate from Sufficient to Grandiose, depending on what your likes and needs are but you need to get in quick. Always book in advance. Very very popular and not far to drive. Opposite the West Beach Golf course and next door to a great climbing Jungle Jim.for kids. Not far away from other Popular beaches and eateries, but honestly they have everything here. No need to venture out of the park at all.

Enjoyed our stay at West Beach Big4.
Fantastic location next to the beach and not far from the city, airport, Glenelg.
Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our cabin was comfortable and clean and the park is well maintained with excellent facilities and plenty to keep the kids entertained.

Love coming to Big 4 Caravan Park at West Beach with my family. The park itself is amazing, the staff there are friendly and very helpful. So much to do around the area. West Beach Mini Golf and West Beach Adventure Park were just a couple of the things we did and the kids had a great time at both

Although the place is busy, the beach is amazing, and it’s not to far from the CBD. The rooms are meh, but make sure you know what your booking, as we got not what we wanted, or payed for
