BIG4 Loxton Riverfront Holiday Park reviews
45Stayed in glamping tent. Clean and comfy. Really nice view and easy access to river and walking trail. Manager Sam was awesome. Responsive and accomodating! Thank for the great stay.
We've spent the weekend away, and our site got moved to riverfront due to bookings and we cannot complain. Such a perfect spot on the river go camp, with power. Highly recommend this place.
Perfect location and setting for a peaceful and beautiful holiday. Good bike or walking distance to town and Pioneer Village. Enjoy this scenic and quiet environment by the river. Also clean and friendly. We recommend this spot and will return. Thank you.
Obviously devasted in the lower park by flood waters, the top amenities were not the standard we were expecting of a big 4 park.
Riverfront views are amazing! Sam the manager is wicked. Literally booked for 5 nights and changed it to 2 weeks on the day we arrived! Highly recommend!
Stopped in a riverview cabin with my wife, the view and cabins were great. We found the staff were very helpful and friendly, I have no hesitation in recommending a holiday here.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I booked in for two nights but decided to stay longer it is a beautiful place and very friendly so peaceful and relaxing I would recommend this as my favourite place
My son and I left yesterday morning after a wonderful relaxing 3 week stay, sites were very clean and well maintained as were the grounds and amenities. Run by a lovely young couple, Sam and Sarah, this park is a credit to them, due to the flood catastrophe and being completely booked for Easter, Sam really went beyond to make sure we were accommodated and comfortable during our stay. We highly recommend this park 11/10. Thank you so much Sam and Sarah.we will definitely be back in future.
This business is beside the Murray River and just getting over the floods. The family who run this park are fabulous. Nothing beats getting greeted on arrival with a beaming smile and a friendly greeting. We had a sprinkler problem at 2 am our phone call was answered straight away and the problem was fixed within minutes. Later the next day we had a laugh and beer over it.
Friendly park with spotless
amenities on the Murray River. Unfortunately most of the park was taken out by the recent floods. A very sad sight. It has a small number of sites above flood level which are treed and green, very welcoming. Loxton looks like a prosperous community, an oasis.
Having travelled Australia for the past 3 years this would have to be the best park we have stayed at Sam and Sarah who managed this well kept park are the most friendliness host you could meet well kept sites and clean amenities look forward to staying their again highly recommend
Come down to Loxton Big4- cabins are comfy & the views are sensational. We are currently booked in an wheelchair accessible cabin. Great service with new owners. Come on down.
What a lovely caravan park! We had a Delux cabin on the river front. It was clean and comfortable with wonderful views of the river. One of the photos show their new Glamping accommodation. Would definitely love to go back one day.
My wife and I just stayed there last week with our two dogs at an Ensuite Site. We had a a great time. The Caravan park was quiet which was what we were looking for. The ensuite worked perfectly for us. The new hosts Sam & Sarah were super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Many Thanks.

We had a 5 night stay on a powered river front site with grassed area between site and river, this was our 2nd stay at these sites, the views are to die for, the amenities are a bit of a walk from these sites and are very clean and modern. The park is under new Management (Erin & Gregg) who are super friendly. For all of those people who had a bad experience with the previous Manager as I did, I recommend staying here and have a good look around Loxton and surrounding towns.
Fabulous park, spotless facilities - very helpful and friendly managers. Gregg and Erin you've done a wonderful job keeping this park looking so good, we saw how hard you worked over the last few days following the storms, so many fallen trees to clear. Thankyou, the park is a credit to you both - we will return!
I am not a person to complain about anything but this business disappointed me. The day before this June long weekend we drove there to enquire about a 2 night stay.no one at the reception with a sign “If unattended call” Mobile number) I’ll be there in 5 minutes the woman said. She turned up from the house next door unlocked the door not even a walk out to say “ Hi how can I help you today “? Our experience with this person was extremely rude and after our conversation with her certainly confirmed that. Yes we had 3 small dogs with us over 2 sites but u need to try to accommodate everyone especially when seeing your caravan park over the long weekend was very empty. Give your guests options not just fob them off. Some customer service training certainly would not go astray. Colour in the hair does suit some people but please at the right age.
Good location. We were in the elevated section. Great views of the river. Well maintained. Ensuite caravan site by clean and roomy.
We had a executive riverfront cabin. Very spacious and comfortable the views were fantastic. On the down side The oven didn’t work and the stovetop and windows were lacking a good clean. Great walks along the river.
Really disappointed with experience - reception very abrupt and unfriendly, bathroom in cabin had no storage therefore the hair dryer provided was in original box on floor, water from shower pools behind toilet and remains all day- no mop provided - no toiletries provided - 4 coffee and T sachets provided for 2 people for 6 nights. No electric blanket. Asked for replacement towels told "we don't do that". Would not recommend stay.
