Beyond India reviews
70Normally we get our food delivered and it tasted nice but whenever we eat out there is always a long wait time.
Very watery no taste butter chicken. No a nice experience
You have responded to my review but no apologies for your staffs bad manners and no incentive to even come back. Why would I try it again and pay full price for a service that was very poor the first time. Not good enough
Tasty and perfectly spiced Mattar Paneer, Garlic cheese Naan Bread, and Mango Lassi. Mango Lassi is placed in a take away like food so I have to transfer in a glass. Could you please put it in a tumbler take away glass next time so there's no wastage when you transfer. Thanks.
Called in the restaurant and placed phone order. The staff was very friendly and nice to talk to. Order was ready on time and was awesome. Very tasty and fresh food as expected. 5 star. Ordered Panner makhani and with garlic Naan and rice. Awsome taste. Thanks
We are now regulars here. Food is always consistent. Service is warm and friendly. The cheesy nan is amazing!
One of the best non-veg thalis in Adelaide and with most curries!
Went out with family for a rather early dinner and wasn't disappointed at all.
The interiors were well decorated to give it a warm feeling. The hosts were pleasant and the service was prompt.
Highly recommended to visit with family or friends!
Me and my husband had an amazing experience at Beyond India Modbury last night. The food was so delicious and especially I love the presentation of the dessert. Great customer service ever experienced. The girls staff at the front was so welcoming and attentive. They had a huge smile the entire time they served us. Loved them!
Highly recommend!
Wow! My dining group visited Beyond India for the first time in about 18 months. A previous visit was very enjoyable and this time the meals served were exceptional and the service was fantastic!
My lamb rogan josh was cooked to perfection with large chunks of tender lamb in a rich tomato sauce based. Lemon rice, cucumber raita and cheese naan bread accompanied the main course and made for and outstanding meal. The rest of the people in the group also had excellent meals. Those who prefer spicy meals would need to ask for extra chilli in the dishes as all of our meals were very mild.
On reflection, after consuming our food, the group rated the restaurant so good that we immediately booked in for another dining experience in a week's time! The food and service was that we wanted to experience it again and try some other dishes!
The menu is extensive and most of the main dishes where in the $18 to $20 range. The restaurant is well patronised by Indian people as well which reflects the high standard of the food and the excellent service!
We have been coming here for years. Their curries are authentic and the service is fantastic. We can't wait to have the Sunday buffets back.
Totally hit or miss.their rice is good, chicken dishes should be ok but anything with beef, lamb or goat will be tough, I don't think their food is prepared authentically. Meat simmered in a curry would be tender, even if not butchered correctly a slow proper cook would fix it, the huge chunks of meat in Beyond India curry or biryani are tough like a boot, so chewy, all you can do is spit it out and eat whatever is around the meat. Never again!
Highly recommended! I would say this restaurant is best in Adelaide….
No comparison of staff service towards customer and quality of food and prices & sitting area.everything perfect
There is only 5 stars option comes in giving review but you guys deserve more than that.
This has got to be the best Indian food in this city I’ve never had anything better. Malai kofta w a vindaloo naan and veg pakora is my order religiously get on it yo
There are very few restaurants in Adelaide where I like taste of Indian food. We tried methi malai chicken in Beyond India and it was the best chicken curry I had in Adelaide. We tried couple dishes and looking forward to try some more dishes. Chef ko hunar Salam!
The Paneer tikka masala tasted just like a bland tomato and onion sauce.very disappointed! The Chilli paneer tasted like Capsicum and paneer in a sweet and sour sauce. Both dishes didn't taste even remotely like Indian food.
FOOD wasn't good and tasty but the staff was friendly.
The food was definitely beyond indian.
Wouldn't try again.
Our Family went to have Dinner at 'Beyond India' in Modbury, after a long and difficult day. Unfortunately we were told that, because it was 9: 20pm, unless we were able to order and finish eating by 10pm, we were too late to Dine In, but we were able to order Take Away from them. The Serving Lady asked how we were and, when I said that we had had a difficult day, she offered us two complimentary glasses of room temperature filtered water, which was thoughtful.
We took ages to order, because of being tired, so it was probably best that we were doing Take Away, but then they took quite a while to prepare it too, apparently they were suddenly busy so this was understandable.
Our Youngest Daughter's Mango Lassi was served in a large takeaway container, which was funny but very generous - at least 500mls! She said it was the equal best Mango Lassi she has ever had, if not the best! The rest of our Food was MARVELLOUS too, perfectly cooked and full of rich flavours!
The Lemon Rice, Steamed Basmati Rice, Onion Bhajia, Mixed Vegetable Pakora, Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Hot Chips, Cucumber Raita, Cheese and Garlic Naan, Papadums, Paneer Makhani, and Paneer Methi Malai were all absolutely perfect!
The mushroom flavour of the Mushroom Baigan Massala was so overpowering that my Husband could not taste the other flavours of Zucchini, Tomato or Red Capsicum at all, so he said that he would not order it again, unfortunately.
The Cheese and Chilli Naan was much hotter than any we have had anywhere else because it was actually stuffed with loads of Green Chillies! My Husband loved this, but neither of our Daughters (9 and 16) could handle it, unfortunately, so it might be best to avoid ordering this for Children.
Overall I would definitely highly recommend 'Beyond India' in Modbury for a delicious Family Takeaway Dinner!
Butter chicken and three naan breads $27.50 butter chicken was a small round takeaway container rip off! Food was average also would not recommend
Ordering online good and the pictures help show what your ordering Delivery was on time unfortunately the food is not flavourful like it use to be just tasteless and dry and not worth ordering again.
I ordered chicken methi and lamb roganjos for a take away. Got my order very quick. I love the chicken methi! Lamb roganjos tastes good as well. But I love spicy chicken! The only thing that I didn't expect is the size serving. They could improve on that. But food taste and waiting time is excellent!
Their butter chicken, vegetable korma, pilau, tangy mango prawns, cheesy naan, mango lassis and pappadums are all delicious. My 8 and 10 year old loved eating here which is awesome!
