Beyond India reviews
71 It is very sad to rate this place so low even though we were regular customers for this place in 2004 - 2006!
Even in our 2019 visit we received high level of service and quality food.
But now in 2023 visit the food quality has completely diminished! We ordered three different curries and all had same tomatoes based gravy with no difference!
Service was also sluggish!
Dosa was only dish that tasted good!
Don’t think will visit this place again!
Poor service, poor quality shown by the amount of drivers waiting by the door and the cold food received
The biryani was very disappointing and i wouldn't recommend it.
By the looks of it, it was just steamed rice mixed with some biryani spices and red chilli powder with some separately cooked meat thrown in. (had solid chunks of rice amongst it)
I may not Indian, but i do know how a real dum biryani is meant to be.
I can cook a much better biryani myself.
Been here a couple of times and always great food and wonderful service. Tried the Dosa once and they are absolutely yummy. And the Ras malai is a must have too.
A brilliant experience once again at Beyond India! Been there for the nth time but the quality has not changed. Came in for lunch today and ordered Malai Kofta, Masoor Dal, Nawabi Naan, Keema and Aloo Nan, Garlic Naan and Punjabi Samosas. Such a delight to eat; fresh and wonderful all round with beautiful balance of all dishes. Naan was soft and buttery, curries were luscious and aromatic, and samosas were nicely fried and deliciously mild. The ambience, food quality and service were top-notch! Recommend for anyone at any time.wonderful restaurant 10/10!
Paneer methi malai is good. Butter chicken tasted like sweet tomato soup with chicken it. Honestly every single time we eat from we get an upset stomach. Food is pre prepared and not fresh otherwise no chicken tikka can ever be prepared in 15 minutes! Eat at your own risk. Note to restaurant: please don’t send a defensive response to my comment cos you know you are playing with people’s health to make money. Instead improve your food quality and service!
I’ve been coming to this fantastic restaurant with friends and family for years, they never fail to satisfy every time. The food is great, but above all the service and hospitality is the standout. It’s very hard to come across this level of customer service any where else! Highly recommend
Getting into Adelaide late I found not a lot on offer. I called 7mins before they shut expecting to be told I was too late. Instead they were polite, helpful and happy to help. I raced over to pick up the order and omg! Hands down the tastiest goat curry I've had in ages! Generous portions of meat, minimal bones in a fantastically created sauce! Thanks guys it was superb
1 lassi and Alo chat is the ridiculous substitute for veg chowmin where i pay 16.90 online. Long live!
Beyond India is a clean Indian restaurant that serves its customers with mouth-watering items. Visited fifth time in just three months. You get addicted every time visit.
Our go to for authentic Indian food. We travel and experience a lot of cuisines but always go here when in Adelaide for a hard to beet Indian meal.
Coming from Melbourne I had to find a good place for a curry fix and Beyond India surpassed my expectations. The vindaloo was excellent with good heat and incredible flavours. The service was attentive and the food came out quite quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love Indian cuisine. Will be back!
We ordered lemonade which was non alcoholic but we received alcohol one which was not good at all. The service was too slow and we too didn't receive some orders even saying them twice. And even making patience in front of customers the staff was arguing with each other. Not a good experience at all.
Quality seems to have improved recently, my korma this time was better than it's been previously. They sell sauces without the meat which is great to pair with your own leftover meat!
Fantastic Indian food.
Every single dish BEAUTIFUL! Gorgeous flavours, very well put together, will make to your hot or mild preference.and have a mango lasse too!
Delish! Lovely place to dine in
$27 for 5 imported prawns in curry and very rude service from the waitress, won’t recommend at all.
Very good food. Specially their methi malai chicken. Awesome. Must visit.
Good service by Nitin.
Waiting time is too long. Had to wait for 1 hour only for 2simple dishes. They lack in services and staff. Outdoor staff is working inside kitchen. Place is amazing but they provide food first to those who came after us. Highly recommend to do some staffing so that people don't have to wait for so long and waste their time.
We went there on the day of diwali, so I was expecting the rush. It took 30mins for our entree to arrive which came as another table’s order at first. Mains were very basic in taste, I would rather say did not have any taste. Disappointed with the quality of food. Staff was friendly
Lacks flavour and spice. Could be more bland but I'm not sure how.
This only for people who want the idea of Indian, but without the actual flavour or spice. Just get fish and chips
