Beyond Bouldering Keswick reviews
36Love going to Beyond bouldering! Hands down the best bouldering gym in Adelaide. Staff are extremely friendly and all three locations (Keswick, Clovelly park, and Kent Town) are very clean and well maintained with frequent new fun routes. Only issue is there are no locations in the northern suburbs! Please bring beyond to us northerners!
Beyond Bouldering gyms are great if you like wall climbing. Staff members are very kind and helpful, coffee is 7,5/10, and you will get everything you need to climb for a reasonable price. Highly recommended. I preferred the orientation of this gym to Kent Town.
The original place for Beyond bouldering. The smallest among the branches but still good. Their gym upstairs has been recently renovated and is much much better.
Everyone needs to try bouldering at least once, it's best if you can go with someone who can climb better than yourself to show you the ins and outs. Once you go I'm sure you will get hooked, it's amazing fun and a great way to stay fit without feeling like it's a workout
Overall a great training area. Good boulder problems with a wide range of levels. Holds are ok, a mix of new ones and very old that need retiring. Review was low because after coming off a wall I noticed near my feet 5 large wood screws on the mat. I told staff about it and they acted as if this was normal and they also knew exactly where these were from. No apology or check if I was ok. This moment was the end of my trust in the gym.
Awesome atmosphere, routes get changed every 3 weeks, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming
Great vibe, slightly outshone by Kent Town and Clovelly in terms of size and routes now though.
Size isn't everything this smaller venue has some amazing setting and a great atmosphere. Not to mention there are two other venues just as rad!
Very welcoming environment with super nice staff. The problems were mostly awesome. The spray wall was a really fantastic training equipment and the setting was great. To point out the negatives, I should say the holds could be cleaner; especially some foot-holds were too slippery because of the excessive use. Also, there was too much chalk everywhere, specially on the mattress.
Good for all age groups. Climbs range in difficulty greatly with a grading system which is easy to follow. Great staff, shout out to a staff member named isabella who was super helpful giving climbing advice when I asked and allowing me to use a glass when I forgot my water bottle. I definitely recommend giving bouldering a try! With an amazing atmosphere it's a place for everyone
I used to love coming here! For the past few years I've had a lot of trouble managing post climb fatigue as the music is so unbelievably loud. Even when I ask if it can be turned down its still loud even with ear plugs in.
I emailed to see if they had a 90 minute window once a week where no music would be played (at any one of their three gyms) and the response was pretty disappointing (typical generic too hard basket we care but don't care enough to commit to anything type of response).
I think its so odd as it's a gym not a night club. 90 minutes isn't a long time for your other patrons to be without music (if it's a huge deal they could plan to climb at other times or other BB sites) and as well many people can and do play their own personal music via portable systems.
"Unfortunately we don't have any sensory friendly hours at this stage, but we are discussing the possibility of doing something like this in the future. "
Nice bouldering gym. Coming here as a tourist to clock some workout. Visited on a Thursday around 3: 30pm. Was given the orientation by Liz about the space, grading levels and falling safely. It was slightly crowded when we entered. We decided to leave at 5: 30pm as it was really crowded and more people were streaming in.
The bouldering area was large and love how the crash pads are well marked to indicate the fall zone.
This would be a 5 star review, the facilities are excellent, the climbs interesting and the shop is great.
However, if you buy a 10 pass deal and don't use them within a year because a little thing like a global pandemic, prepare for them to not honour it. A disappointing return after a long absence.

Once you go I'm sure you will get hooked, it's amazing fun and a great way to stay for without feeling like it's a workout. Price can sting a bit of you go regularly though
My local climbing gym. Good variety of climbs regardless of ability. Place is kept nice and clean, music is decent, coffee is good, change rooms and toilets are a little small but are clean and always in service. I've been going here twice a week for a couple years now and don't intend to move climbing gym any time soon
Good setting, friendly climbers, but my lord the holds need a deep clean. Stronger fans would also help the air quality.
Visit the website and no age limit is easily found. Go to take the kids there and 8 years old minimum. Mind you they only tell you after the safety video.
Great atmosphere, great staff - Liz is always very cheerful. Only downside is your arms may fall off the next day.
Oh man if you like climbing well this is the place for you. Get your fingers clinging on for a good time cause keswick has the blox for you
Hive of activity. RESET WEDNESDAYS! Counted 3 dogs enjoying the pats and rubs as each climber came away from the wall. Staff super energetic and engaged. Fist-bumps, cheers, and laughter.
