Beach Burrito Co. Glenelg reviews
58 Been here few times since it opened and enjoyed our visits but this time they put us upstairs even though my daughter told them I walk with a walking stick, then messed up our order and wanted us to pay the extra (not likely!).
The place was dusty, dirty and bathroom disgusting. Won't be back.
You would think it wouldn't be hard to make Mexican food lmao i was wrong. It was disgusting, there was NO flavour, I got the O. G chicken burrito - the beans and rice was hard, the chicken had no flavour. The chilli cheese fries - no flavour. The only way i could eat the jalapeno poppers was to drench it in sauce. I rate it 0/10, waste of money.
Staff were super friendly and chatty, easy and fast service, great vibe and atmosphere especially for the younger generation. I tried to OG Chicken burrito, but noticed a few vegan options spread across the menu which looked inviting.
The beer was cold, that was a plus. Smile on the dial on most, another plus. The atmosphere…. Quaint. As for the food, it lacked a key factor…taste! It appeared as if the ingredients where chosen because it helps the bottom line. The sauces had no color, no taste, flavor…pop or pow! Sorry the sauce was white with a Nano fragment of something that looked like pepper, or it could be dust? The dish resembled something you would present to shareholders “ look what we can produce using cheap ingredients to young kids that won’t know the difference between flavor and cardboard and we can make a huge profit” Thanks for the beer.
The vegan jackfruit falafel was really good. Really colourful and actaully seemed healthy too, not too much oil and salt which I was happy about.thanks
Do you want the best possible service, and matching amazing Mexican food? If you answered yes to both of these, then Beach Burrito Company is for you!
First up. Let's talk service. I was working nearby and placed an online order to pick up my tasty treat for lunch. Unbeknownst to me, their internet ordering was unfortunately down (It's Australia, of course our internet is sub-par and unreliable). When I popped in to grab lunch they were apologetic and assured me they would get onto my order. They took my number down and informed me that in 15 - 20 minutes they would call me and let me know, as I had to return to work. Eagerly watching my phone for lunch, I could barely contain my excitement. It was at that moment that my heart sang! Instead of calling me to come and pick it up, they walked my order to me and personally delivered it with a smile! Can you beat that service? I don't think you can.
Now let's talk food. My goodness. I was wise enough to order a serve of chicken taquitos, and a Baja Fish Burrito (with rice swapped for chips, of course). The taquitos were well balanced and full of flavour, warming me up for the main course! The fish in the burrito was cooked perfectly, with beautiful sauce and flavour!
If you want an excellent meal and matching service, I highly recommend Beach Burrito Company at Glenelg!
Had 3 different tacos, can't say I was overly impressed. The main ingredients (prawn, fish, chicken) were obviously fresh and well cooked but found the overall flavours a little bland and the salsas too sweet. Tacos were also a little underwhelming. Fine, but not amazing. Beer was good.
Delicious! The best nachos and burrito bowls. The jug of lemon and lime margarita just added to the great meal. Go early there is a queue. We didn't wait very long.
Thoroughly enjoyed my fish Fajita Burrito! Good atmosphere, friendly service and cold beers. My first visit to Glenelg and I'm glad we stopped in here for dinner!
I really love this place.
The food is great! Fresh Mex
The cocktail jugs are awesome and really reasonably priced.
I love the fit out and the upstairs area. It’s a shame it’s not open more often.
Nice place but the toilets very revolting. It was early in the night and there were grot all over the floor and even no toilet paper. This was reported to the staff and nothing was done for at least over 2 hours. I wonder how clean the kitchen were?
Taco Tuesday is the best! Super cheap tacos and a great vibe. I really love the OG chicken one and the pulled pork one too! Burritos are pretty tasty on any day! Gotta come for Mates and Dates some time.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting. The food and ambience overall is superb! Great job guys.
Went there to celebrate a friends party. Food was very good but it was unbearably hot as we were seated up stairs.
The margaritas are to die for - go spicy and ask for jalepeños.
In a cocktail making class, Mike taught us how to make the best margarita. He was super knowledgable on tequila!
Went for dinner.too cold and dark for my liking. Maybe a good venue for summer.
Food ok but that may have been my bad choice cos my daughter loved her meal
Went here in winter and had 3 layers on and an overcoat and froze all night while eating dinner. There is no heating at all. Food was hit and miss.
