Beach Burrito Co. Glenelg reviews
58 Food, taste wise and Quality wise was not bad.
Tables were kinda sticky.not sure its material or humidity close to beach but definitely need so.e attention.
Atmospher was very dull.like a quiet place.no greetings, no smiles.one good thing that staff was courteous while approched them to ask something but still very cold at the same time.
With vegan burrito not sure what sauce was on plate for decoration. Also menu need more details, not sure of this but oprion for 'fresh Juice' was also not clear that what fruit's juice is available on the day or being served (i could have ask it though, but seems like there must be something more detail with this item).
Even while leaving I said "thanks guys" but no one replied, no one was bothered.lol.
Ordering through app was giving some problem, no real answer why it was doing that.app needs to be better.crew didn't have a clue about it.
Its a very honest review, I hardly give rating below 4. I feel bad to write such a big review but I guess every input, every feedback matters, if there is anything to correct in my review please let me know.
Wish you all the best. And hope you do great business and provide great service.
Unfortunately the hygiene standards aren’t great here. Sticky EVERYTHING! The highchair was pretty gross too: (
Food is ok. Honestly I prefer GyG. We ordered a kids chicken and cheese quesadilla for our toddler. The menu said ‘crispy chicken and cheese’ and it came out with pulled chicken that was doused in chilli. The staff were nice and replaced it with a cheese quesadilla but the menu was misleading and really should be changed to reflect that it has chilli in it and isn’t crispy chicken.
Nice little spot with indoor & outdoor dining. Staff were lovely. We enjoyed the frozen margaritas and a few different tacos which are a must try if you love your mex.
The food is epic
The restaurant itself is pretty sticky though. Tables, menu's, cutlery (if you get it) all really sticky. It's like nothing truly gets cleaned. Real shame as the food and location is awesome
I'll still give a 5/5 as I can handle it for the food but something needs to change
Great food, great margaritas, staff are friendly and helpful. Can't go wrong here. Vegetarian available.
Went for a quiz night in the upstairs restaurant. Nice atmosphere and fun decor. Seats are tall and metal, so not particularly comfy.
I like that you can order and pay on the app / via the QR code scanner at your table. Very convenient and the menu has pictures of the food.
Good selection of Mexican food. Very fresh tasting too, not like the texmex style in the US. We had tacos, nachos and a quesadilla. All well seasoned and tasty, but the tacos are quite small, so you'll have to order a few for a meal - maybe 3 or 4 at least.
Service was a little slow but very friendly.
Overall a nice place to hang out and pretty good food.
Right from the beginning of entering the facility a blonde female worker was extremely rude and extremely passive aggressive. Her disrespectful tone immediately made the experience unpleasant. My sister is Celiac and was very hesitant to trying a new restaurant. Almost every item on the menu has a GF option which was at first reassuring. When we went to order and asked for a Burrito Bowl with GF substitute this blonde female worker had a smart tone and replied that the fried tortilla shell was used in the same oil as non GF tortilla, and pretty much insinuated the staff will not change the oil (too lazy to). This caused unnecessary stress for my sister as she no longer trusted the food. After asking again for the food to be cooked in separate oil the answer was still no. So my sister had to change her meal of choice. Once receiving the meal with the plate aggressively put on the table, there was a hair found in my sisters food. We later saw the chef walk out with no hairnet and a long ponytail with the same hair colour. Disgusting! I can proudly say I will never be returning to this Beach Burrito in fact no Beach Burrito again. Absolutely disgusting.
Essentially self service through an app from your table. Despite this "efficiency" drinks took quite a while and arrived just before the food. Nice Burrito though.
Wasn’t the best overall experience, I would only give 2 stars if the taco’s weren’t half price. To start the $13 chips and guacamole were really disappointing, definitely not worth that price considering it was really lacking on the guac and we needed some serious rationing skills to make it stretch over half the corn chips. As for the “fresh passionfruit” margarita… not one passionfruit seed to be found anywhere, so very much doubting the “fresh” part of the name.
Went here for lunch yesterday. The virgin mojito was great, as were the chips. The mains were a bit lacklustre & the overall atmosphere wasn’t great. The chairs / tables were really sticky too.
We also tried originally ordering on the phone as directed and after placing our order we got a notification saying it failed? Had to go to the bar to sort it where other people were gathered, looking they were having the same issue too. When I went to order, the waitress wasn’t the friendliest and said that they’ve been having issues all day. It would have been nice if she mentioned this before we were sat down at a table, as this would have influenced us ordering in the first place or not.
Wouldn’t be back after the customer experience and average food but at least we knocked it off our list on places to try I guess.
Food was not enjoyable, the burrito was very bland- literally just mushroom, rice & beans on it.
I asked to add a bit more but they just charged me for extra and didnt add anything extra to it.
I thought being more of a high end mexican joint they would atleast put more effort into the fillings- add tomato, sour cream, avacado.wont be in a rush back.
Food was not nice at all. For $46 I would just go to Zambrero‘s and actually get good food.
We tried a bunch of different tacos and they were all delicious! Great flavour and variety. We also had the sangria which was very tasty.
Service at the bar was great, very friendly. Wait for food was a bit longer then expected but food was great when we received it.
The food was amazing I loved my burrito so much it was delicious. The service was also pretty good but my friends food took a bit longer but everything else was amazing
Had breakfast it was Top notch. Tamim the little master whipped up a beautiful breakfast burrito and Justin has fast become best barista in Glenelg
Service exceptional upstairs 5/5
Food very tasty 5/5
Faced minor issues with online ordering system dealt with very professional.
Highly recommend.
Halloumi salad with sweet potato came out like someone’s leftovers. Halloumi had barely touched the grill. 4 sweet potato fries as sweet potato component. Salad tasted old as though from a few days old.
Jalapeño poppers were good but HOT. I mean that’s what you want, right? Haha. Fish tacos were not bad but my standards are very high for these cute little beachy shack. Good location on the strip near the beach.
Ordered the mucho burrito with chicken pork rice beans guacamole and sour cream. Was mostly Rice and beans. No guacamole or sour cream. When I complained they told me to get lost. Will never go again.
