Banjo's Bakery Cafe reviews
38While the meat pie and croissant at Banjos are enjoyable, I had a less than satisfactory experience with their coffee on my last two visits. Despite not requesting it extra hot, the coffee was uncomfortably hot, leading to an unpleasant incident where I almost burned my tongue. This was quite disappointing and affected my overall impression.
Went there for the Tasmanian scallop pie BUT was deeply disappointed. No scallop nor any seafood flavour even though one can see the scallops in the pie. Lame currie taste only.
The pie was served in a paper bag even though it was dine in. Have to go back and ask for a plate and serviette.
The coffees were ok, nothing exceptional.
The only plus side is sitting at Moseley Square watching the world go by, which you can do any time anyway.
Undeniably popular bakery in Glenelg beach side, evident seen from the frequent long queues. Their sandwiches is a standout, delivering a satisfying and flavorful experience that I highly recommend. One of the most busiest cate in Glenelg town
Service was brilliant and food is amazing we spend no more than $38 every time we come here n we love it
Has to be the most expensive bakery in Australia, very mid at best. Absolute criminal charging $8.95 for a pie let alone not putting the prices of the pies in the window.
Pie was okay but could have bought a footlong instead I wish Maccas was still here.
Coffee in Bango's doesn't even taste like coffee. The only good thing about it it's hot.
The food was nice and at good value.
The only issue was that there were too many pigeons outside as well as inside the cafe.
It felt unhygienic due to the number of pigeons.
What a great bakery, a real bakery expert, the variety of food is delicious, pies are amazing, breaky toasty and coffee a great start to the day.
Chicken curry pie was spicy and delicious.
Mum really enjoyed her potato pie on first visit & beef, , and cheese pie? On second visit
The Boss Man is a Legend!
The weather was crazy last Saturday and this man opened his heart and his umbrella to help love blossom. When others had turned me down, this guy helped me …& for free!
Able to enjoy the same goodies available in Tassie, but not impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Not one of the soap dispensers or hand sanitisers were working and the tabletops were covered in crumbs and spilt coffee. This was the same on all three of my visits there
Not good enough.
Pies are absolutely amazing and very tasty Will definitely be returning each time I visit Glenelg! ️
I’m sorry to say our experience at Banjo’s was less than satisfactory. My wife ordered a sausage roll - I should have suspected something was wrong when the shop assistant dropped one and it shattered. Dry as a dead dingo’s ….
My extreme disappoint came from the dumbfounded look I received when enquiring about mushy peas. No mushy peas! Can’t call yourselves a bakery without having mushy peas for pies. My meat pie was a solid 5 out of 10. Gelatinous, small in size, no gravy but the pastry redeemed a point. Peas would only have improved the offering.
I'm not a picky person and this is the first review I've ever written in my life. Everything is miniature size and over priced, which is okay if it tastes good but unfortunately my pie wasn't even hot and was borderline warm/cold. I've had better pies from a petrol station and they don't even specialise in pies. Really disappointing but on a positive note the customer service was great!
A very nice surprise to see Banjo's in Adelaide. During our trip to Tassie we found the pies, especially beef with black pepper, amazing.
Fast and friendly service, great pie and cappuccino, great value for money, clean and well presented bakery
I’ve been here twice in the last two days. Dining in with delicious breakfast croissants and then taking out for freshly sliced rye bread in the afternoon. Both experiences I was received by welcomingly kind staff. Considering the market price for nearby venues, it was a fantastic find for delicious food at a modest price.
High quality bakery products, well worth a visit. The short pastry on the tarts is really nice and the flakey pastry on the pies and the sausage rolls are amongst the best I've had in Adelaide.

Cute little spot by the beach, warm atmosphere, fresh bakery, delicious coffee in a huge mug, what else could you want early morning
