Bangkok Boulevard reviews
39 Service was poor, almost throwing and dropping your plate was shocking. I ordered the lamb shank slow cook for 18hrs, was the worst lamb shank ive ever had, dry and tough, besides being a very small portion. The sauce was great, other than it was very sweet for me. Wife chicken was very good.
Cleaning was poor as I watched them clean a 1/2 the table.
I was disappointed with the soft shell crab, was a bit cold and when I cut into it yellow goo oozed out of it, rather unappetizing.
Staff were inattentive. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. I went home hungry
I love this restaurant, really good food. This place is one of my favorite.
But one of waitress who has blonde long hair is so rude and bad service.
When she took my order, served food until I left restaurant, she seems angry whole time.
Absoloutley wonderful! We'll certainly be eating here again! We ordered a variety of dishes including the green chicken curry, the wagyu beef with sticky rice and the chicken satays. All of these were fantastic! They were flavourful and well portioned, and an excellent price for what we received. Staff were sometimes slow to serve, but fair enough because the restaraunt was very busy. The service we did recieve though was incredibly friendly and helpful.
We have eaten here several times over the past couple of years. When we first visited, the service was ok, but the food was amazing.
Over the last few visits, the service was still average but the food quality seemed to have gotten spotty with the standard we were used to.
We decided to visit last week to try another time with a group of friends and we have decided we wont be back.
Our food had issues which was relayed to the waitress.
On payment, I stood there at the counter for quite a long time, waiting for the (4) staff to stop discussing an issue with another table, which i found really rude, and when a few of us have something wrong with our food, offer a gesture of goodwill, even comp a drink? Nope.
Overall, this place was very busy, too busy now to give great food or any service and left our group feeling like we can get better value at other places and support another restaurant which may appreciate our visit.
2 stars for when we used to visit, 0 stars for right now.
Dined here for the first time last night and they were packed!
The food was absolutely incredible, didn’t get to finish our mains because there was a medical emergency that took place with a diner which me and my friends attended to, to help.
But the staff was incredible responsive and helpful with the medical situation and I can’t praise them enough.
They really went above and beyond to ensure the patron was comfortable and stable until the ambulance arrived.
Even though the incident took place we still got to take our food home and enjoy it.
But this review is to acknowledge the incredible food and also the staff for there professionalism.
10/10
Visited for the first time and loved it! Fresh and authentic tasting and large servings (saw many people packing up left overs for take away). Can't wait to return and try more of the extensive menu items. Quick service too!
Absolutely amazing food and service! Very clean restaurant and prices are great! Great variety of Thai and Asian food on the menu, and serving sizes are large, so it's great value! The gentleman at the counter was very nice when we were paying, asking us if the meal was okay. Will definitely be back!
Very reasonably priced food, excellent flavours and friendly service. The restaurant seems to always be busy but the service still remains at a high standard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food came out quite quickly which was great. We were lucky to attend on a night where there was a Lion Dance performance for Lunar New Year just outside the restaurant.
Unfortunately, average food and unforgettable service. My partner and I were left waiting at the door for over 5 minutes, we made eye-contact with multiple wait staff but they all just seemed to not want to deal with us, mind you that there was only a couple of tables in the entire restaurant at the time. We were eventually greeted by a waitress who didn’t say a word and took us to a table.
Ordered net spring rolls and prawn cakes, both which were bland, and seafood Tom yum soup which was quite average, seafood a little overcooked and had a hair in it. Then spent another 5 minutes trying to get the attention of a different waitress. When I let her know about the hair she just started at me and asked if I wanted another one, when I declined she took it and left not saying another word.
I know that my partner and I came at an off time, but quite possibly some of the worst hospitality that we’ve ever had to experience: (
Some friends recommended to try this place.unfortunately the dirty, sticky tables and the stained chairs was not a great first impression.
The service was friendly but extremely slow.
The photos displayed in the menus were much nicer than the actual dishes served. I also expected the food to be much more flavorful for Thai food.
The Crispy chicken dish I ordered wasn’t crispy, but soggy.in addition I also asked the waiter if I could have fresh hot chili added, my dish came with x2 dried chili’s
Plz book in advance, otherwise you would wait for 1hr just like me. Normally I would be alerted by the instagramable looking restaurants, but this is a place that has a standard of their food.
Green curry was creamy and had a rich flavor of coconut, didn't taste like the canned coconut milk we can get from the supermarket.
Lychee drink was crispy and refreshing, will try to copy it at home.
Good place for date night or girls' night out.
Have been going to this place many times. Each time paying over $100 for 2 people and a child. This time also ordered meals over $100, but when asked for left over food to take home they charged for those containers too. Never happened in any other restaurants.
Have been to many thai resteraunts in Adelaide, interstate and even in Thailand. No word of a lie this is my favourite place of them all, and what I really appreciate is the good quality ingredients and consistency. Keep up the great work!
We went there today for lunch and we ordered Prawn cake, Puff, Wings, Tomyum, Grilled Beef, and of course Pad Thai. Every single one of them were so delicious and so Authentic.
We weren't impressed with staffs though, they didn't say hello or welcome when we walked in, I ordered Thai black coffee and got latté. I told the girl and the response was 'okay' no apologies. They didn't even say thank you when we pay our bill. There were customers waiting for a long time at the front and the girls were cleaning wine glasses.
It's not a complaint, I love the food, but I think staffs need a proper training.
Poor customer service, waited over 30mins still no one came to serve us, told the bloke we were ready to order and he says he will let the waitress know. Another 10mins in the waitress comes but she ends up clearing up a table two seats away then disappears, so still waiting. 10mins in we're starting to get annoyed and frustrated now as it now a 40min wait still no service. Now the bloke has seated a couple next to us, mind you we are still waiting to order. So 10mins in, the waitress has now come out. But instead of approaching us she went to serve the couple who arrived after us. They only just sat there bum down. We sat there for nearly an hour. It was pretty busy so it was understandable, but when you sit there waiting for very long time still waiting for someone to take our order and see that someone who has arrived after us to get served less than 10mins, pisses me off. So we just left. Was very disappointed as I was looking forward to try this restaurant.
The menu hasn’t changed for the last two years the least.
I thought the quality too has gone down a bit. Seems like the profit is the main concern for them.
Still the food is ok.
They also charge for the left over food containers whereas many other smaller restaurants do not charge any. They are seemingly making a sizable profit from virtually selling cheap plastic containers.
Really nice tasty food, wasn't very spicy which is a shame when we asked for spicy but that is the norm in Aus (seems nobody likes spicy). The food was huge, we ate enough to be full and then took some home, it looked like another meal. The restaurant has great character in the newly developed section of TTP. Great job.
Just had lunch here. Staff were not accomodating. My hubby ordered tofu salad, he was very disappointed with the sauce they put TOO MUCH, he didn't finish eating his meal when he mentioned it with the server he just turned around and laughed with himself while talking in his language. (Thai)
