Ardrossan Seafood & Schnitzels

We come to Ardrossan often and I love it but this place needs good food.
A good fish and chip shop will attract people from everywhere.
We tried this place again last night and what a disgrace.
We got the fish pack for 4 and threw the majority of it out.
Soggy rubbish. Unwrapped our fish and all the batter was stuck to the paper. Oily and just simply put, terrible food.
We were still tasting horrible oil a few hours later, it made me feel ill. Next time, I think we may pack sandwiches or go to the pub for a meal.

Good food. Fish was freshand tasty. Chips and gravy containers were half full. If I'd known, would have ordered gravy on the side. Nice meal. No upsells so if you forget stuff like cutlery, sauces, etc, you have to pay. Tartar or lemon the should automatically with the meal. Extra on top. Service was nice. Good pricing on the board. Had a dog in the shop constantly shaking itself while losing hair. Not a fan.

Decided to stop in here opposed to the tradition Pie at Port Wakefield. WOW! Quality and service was excellent, and prices were good. So good stopped in on the way home as well!

Walked in to the worker scratching their behind, then continues cooking, also no glove's or hair nets with long hair.tempted not to order but kids were hungry Bad mistake food was frozen in middle and not cooked properly. Worst food on the peninsula.

They have limited hours of being open, the plus side is it is worth calling in when they are open, magnificent seafood here

At last! Fish n Chip perfection!

Super oily, fish half cooked but the scallops, prawns and formed squid rings were over cooked. Chicken salt was more like seasoned sugar. Borderline edible but the seagulls enjoyed it.

Had fish & chips. Fish cooked perfectly & chips nice & crunchy. Will go back again for sure.

I've never had a squid schnitzel before & these guys make them - it was terrific! I've had a chicken schnitz with salad & chips from there too, 2 people could have eaten that sandwich it was so fat.
