Not a great experience having to pay $40 for a feed me option as we had over 10 guests.
One spring roll, 1-2 slices of bread with dip for entree, and half a small pizza for main does NOT add up to $40 and we were extremely disappointed. We were initially told we could order more pizzas if we still needed to. We ordered extra, and later on when wanting to order another pizza, we were told that actually, we were only meant to be given half a pizza each for the feed me option and that they would have to charge us if we wanted more pizzas. Beautiful view, however unfortunately will not be back as that is an exorbitant amount of money for a meal more suited for a child.

We came with a group of over 10 so we were forced to get the feed me option. This worked out to paying almost double the price than if we bought the dishes separately. Plus there were hidden costs that we were not made aware of until we had to pay.

The pizzas were small and the crust was undercooked and very plain. A little bit of salt and more tomato base would have helped.

The waitresses split wine on the guests during the wine tasting and when placing a pizza down it slid off the plate onto the table. They just left it on the table for us to eat and didn't offer to replace it.

Would not recommend going with a big group.
Dogs were cute and location was gorgeous.

17 guests, forced to do the $40 feed me option. Definitely not enough quantity for a “feed me. ” Our guests were not full. $680, they provided 14 pizzas and four starters.

I would advise you NOT to go. If you want to bring your own birthday cake do it somewhere else, as they charge $2/person for plates.

Waiters are incompetent, dropped our pizza and spilt wine on two of our party guests. When the staff were questioned they were rude and seemed clueless at the best of times.

We had an amazing opportunity to dine at Anderson Hill Cellar Door and Restaurant on Valentine's Day.

Overall, it is safe to say that the food was beyond amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed their food and customer service. Our server for the day, Will, was very nice and welcoming. I'm sure the other customers found him to be the same thing. The small plates came out pretty quick while the big plates took longer but that's fine. Given that it was Valentine's day when we visited, it's understandable.

The views and the ambiance of this place gave some sort of relaxing aura where we found ourselves just daydreaming while staring at the vineyards, soaking the warm sun and breathing the chilly air. It was such a memorable experience.

Over the last couple of years this facility has grown. It's managed to maintain its charm. The food is brilliantly yummy. Wood oven pizzas are a favourite but the other items are easily their equal.
Nothing better than a warm day, sitting outside on the lawn, with pizza or brisket and flat bread and a bottle of rose and some good company.
They don't seem to have missed a beat with the Cudlee Creek Fire or COVID. They seem to have built from the challenges.

The stars are for Seth’s great service and knowledge of wine, Anderson Hill and the local area he was the absolute star of the day. The wines and tasting were great albeit very expensive however we like to support local and did. I think we have learned our lesson with feed me pizza meals we had three meat pizzas for a table of 7 carnivores and when we asked whether we could get more pizzas the waitress was surprised and counted the five on the table and said oh okay she would arrange two more! $40 for side plate sized pizzas one each regardless of our preference was ridiculous especially because the wine tasting was additional to the meal and wine purchases and the starter could not have been more than $5pp.

We would recommend the wine tasting and views if you were doing the Adelaide Hills area the food no and the food service definitely no! A very expensive afternoon

Disappointing experience: Poor service, not enough food on the "feed me" menu, and average food and wine overall. We attended Anderson Hill Cellar Door Restaurant for a close friends birthday with a group of 16. Despite the COVID regulations allowing us to be seated together the staff were very unfriendly and did not accomodate our two parallel tables being combined into one long table even after our request. (The restaurant was half empty, so there was really no excuse except laziness.) The "feed me" menu was average in quality and left our table hungry (despite a high female: male ratio - we aren't big eaters, so this was surprising!). Staff were young and inexperienced and although they were trying their best they didn't seem to be getting the guidance that they needed. There was one woman who seemed friendly from a distance and may have been the owner, but overall unfortunately a disappointing experience.

Called them several times throughout the week. Left several messages and no callback. Even called them on the day we decided to go for lunch, again no answer and no callback after a message was left. No booking information on the website, not alot of info at all really. It would seem that after they have something booked they ignore everyone else. Pretty rude to be honest and not the family friendly business I mistook them for. I won't be making this mistake again. Took a chance coming here and it failed. Won't be coming back

We drew the short straw on a cold wet October day. Already hard to find with no signage outside. Greeted by the resident dogs sitting on guest chairs. Then our party of 5 was informed a "few items" (in reality 50%Of an already limited menu) were not available owing to "a busy" weekend. By Wed surely provisions could have been topped up. The gas heating bottle ran out quite soon through the meal so we had to huddle under our coats. Only one dessert was left and "hot"chocolates were lukewarm. While the pizzas and sparkling wine were good, they would not justify another visit to this remote cellar door restaurant.

Had the shared plates lunch here and the experience was great. A beautiful winery with delicious and generous food, good wine, good service and extra cute dogs.

Great view, poor service, hot savouries served after desert, as they " come from the kitchen that way"
no respect for customer expectations, ruined our experience (table of 20 customers)
I paid for 20 "savouries" that were given away to other customers for free.so sad, the management could have offered to pack them up as "take aways).

it has been more than 3 weeks.now, but nobody contacted us to apologize or discuss what went wrong that day.total disregard.
They just " cash up" as much as possible and move you on. The chinese girl at the front of the house is particularly skilled at this so watch out!

Views to die for, very hospitable staff, we had a platter to start then a couple of pizzas all were yummy. They have two beers on tap, both excellent and the wines are very good too. The prices are very reasonable, therefore we strongly recommend Anderson hill cellar door.

We wanted to go and visit the hills after the horrible fires. Anderson Hill seemed like the perfect place, we booked a table at the last moment on a public holiday, they happily accommodated us even though they were flat out. Driving down the dirt road, we saw the burnt out vineyards luckily they were able to save most of them, we were early for our reservation but they sat us early, in a corner overlooking the view. Clearly packed full of people they were turning guests away.
The waitresses are really friendly, we ordered a bottle of rose it was amazing, smooth crisp taste not too sweet which is what a rose should be. For lunch we ordered arancini balls, they were really nice however they didn’t have that wow factor, also had the beef cheek doughnuts, sounds strange but amazing! They come with a chilli jam which is packed full of flavour. You will want more, I know I did, the beef cheek is perfectly cooked melts in the mouth, please don’t ever take this off the menu. To finish we had the lamb pizza, so full but we managed to get through it, nothing beats a wood oven pizza.
These guys have been through hell over the past few months, and when they can go through all they have be through, still put smiles on their faces and put out amazing food, wine and service, we need to remember to support our own, our locals, #bookthemout all the way! Will return soon,

Great little spot with that old style hospitality. Value for money - tick. Beautiful views - tick. Resident dog to play fetch witg - tick oh and lovely shiraz and meals. We tucked into a large serving of ribs, tender lamb and cured ocean trout. Will be back for more games of fetch

Adelaide Hills at its very best.

I don't think that there is another winery that has as much to offer as Anderson Hill.
Owners Ben & Claire are salt of the earth operators, with their love for wine on show everytime they crack a bottle and pour a glass for thirsty patrons.
Since a recent renovation, enjoying the expansive views has never been easier be it from either the lawn or large decking that leads seamlessly into the dining room.

Chef Brad Perrot brings his passion for food to a menu that mirrors the seasons of the surrounding hills, with share plates like his slow cooked shoulder of lamb designed to bring people together around the table.
Make sure you arrive with a ready appetite as there are many items that you'll want to order and try, so be sure to bring your tribe and share the love.

Lets be honest, there is no better way to waste away the day than with a glass of wine, great food and laughter amongst friends; and for that reason, Anderson Hill is just bloody perfect.
