Excellent food and service. Great staff and I recommend the pizzas. It’s noisy but that doesn’t seem to matter…!

Food is great but when picking up last time recently - your staff member asked my pregnant wife to wait outside in the cold with the delivery people. I am absolutely appalled and did try to call many times during operating hours to vent my feedback.

Dissapointed with the food. Haven't been to Amalfi for a very long time and took a friend for her 1st visit. Pasta was gluggy and way over priced. Service and atmosphere still good.

The service was excellent to start with. Good communication while we waited for a table, every waiter that talked to us was friendly, and they gave us good recommendations for drinks and portions for the two of us sharing.
Even little things like bringing parmesan, chilli oil and black pepper without asking.

The food was classic Italian comfort food. Simple, delicious and depth of flavour. The Americano pizza was well cooked with a nice crispy base, fluffy bread and properly cooked toppings.
The Caprese salad wasn't what we expected but was still delicious and moorish.
The spaghetti polpette special had perfectly cooked spaghetti, plenty of meatballs and a delicious sauce.

An amazing experience at Amalfi with terrific food service and wines. Will definitely go here again!

Frequent patron because the food has always been reliable along with the service, clean friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices! Have never been disappointed and all from a local business recommending the restaurant a year ago. Had lunch there today and it was just a satisfying as our previous visits, see you again soon! This used to be one of the best Italian places in Ad. Have been there twice now in the past year or so, the second just last weekend. Figured we’d give them another shot. Nope. Can safely write this place off now, although it’s a shame because it was once a tried and true favourite.

The pasta dishes have no balance of flavours, or cheaply overcompensate with chili. Basically like any old pasta you can get from Cafe Primo and the like. Only difference is the price point. My scallopini was dry, the sauce watery.

The wait staff are brusque or transparently faux-nice. The entire crew, based on what I could see of the kitchen staff too, seems comprised of under 30s. Which actually explains a lot. All itching to close up.

I know the quality of everything has dropped in recent years but this is a massive disappointment. Never again.

If you want a rich pasta dish, this is your place!
We were staying at the Crowne which is right next door and as we went out to find a restaurant and walk through the door, the smell coming out made us go inside.
We ordered the ragu pasta and the marinara and loved both.
Highly recommended also for the good treatment of the people who attended us.

Reviews indicate we probably would have enjoyed this had it not been busy. We arrived on Saturday night at 8: 40pm. We thought it looked pretty busy but the waiter told us that the kitchen wasn’t too busy and food takes around 20mins. He was friendly and helpful, we sat outside in the street.

The service stopped there. Two older waitresses were purposely avoiding eye contact. After waiting 15mins, I went in to order and she said she would come to the table. She came and took our order. At 9: 30 I went inside to see if our order had been started (we wanted to leave) the same waitress saw I was standing in the line with customers paying and continued to ignore me. After waiting a few minutes in line I heard our table number being called and I followed her out as she took one of our plates (again ignoring me).

At 9: 45pm she came and said the council workers ‘just’ told her they’re opening the street at 10pm and will we be finished or do we need help changing tables. We asked for the bill. When she asked how everything was, we explained that we were frustrated with the service - she replied in a very condescending voice that she was sorry that they were busy. Wait times are only 20mins on normal nights.

We saw plenty of wait staff so the restaurant has tried to prepare for the higher volume of customers but they clearly have some staff who are not dealing with the demands.

My friend enjoyed half her chicken salad before she asked for it to be take away due to needing to move. I didn’t finish my meal, the chicken was sitting in a sauce that was very fatty and lacking flavour.

$44 for a small takeaway container of tiramisu. Will update you when I try it.better taste like the Roman gods made it.

Unfortunately the food was pretty terrible. Pon Collo pasta was not good at all, I’ve had nicer microwave pastas. Tiramisu was so dry: 99% lady finger, 1% marscapone. Side note: weird that the tiramisu costs $8 on UberEats but $11 through direct takeaway order and collection.

Not too bad but extremely salty foods. Meal sizes were very generous though. Don't think going back again.

I've spent a lot of time in Italy and this is the best Italian food I've had. Amazing!

Fantastic service, food was very salty, but yummy nonetheless, but the atmosphere was less than desirable, with tables crammed together in such a small space, pretty loud, but busy is good for business right?

We hosted some interstate customers at amalfi as it was very close to our hotel. The atmosphere was great and the service from the staff was unbelievably good! It was busy but every staff member knew their job and was able to pump out quick tasty meals. Well done to the team, we will be back for sure

Not like it used to be. I did not like the staff attitude, a little over powering and didn’t seem to be welcoming and very un emotional (didn’t care).

They like their chunky bacon. Everything ordered was chunky cut bacon as ingredients. Kilpatrick, The Amalfi and Amatriciana. Didn’t care for it really. It also made everything very salty.

Th Amatriciana was a sauce-less dish unlike any I had before. Did not care for it either.

I liked the Amalfi pasta dish however the pasta was way undercooked and pretty firm.

We felt very rushed. We also asked for bread, it never came.

There was a huge spider in the corner which freaked me out. Staff didn’t care.

2 beer, 2 wine, two mains and a dozen Kilpatrick oysters $140. Thought thigh for a sub standard meal.

A great place for a quick bite to eat, incredibly efficient service and good food. Relaxed atmosphere, and any place you can watch what's going on in the kitchen is a winner for me!

Amazing carbonara! We have had a lot of Italian while on our 3 week trip and this was by far the best!
