Al Ru Farm

I booked here for something a little different for our 4 days in Adelaide over Christmas. We loved it. We arrived on Christmas day and the owner went out of her way to being us a "care package" with turkey and roast vegetables so that wed have something to eat on Christmas night. It was so appreciated. The room was really unusual and so spacious. The bed and bedding was super comfortable and the breakfast is completely worthwhile. Fabulous bacon, free range eggs and tomato - it was great to be able to get up and make our brekkie in our room when we were ready and to just chill out. The gardens are just fabulous - you can see the time, love and care that the owners have put into them over many years to create the wonderful ambience and environment. I loved the pool - which was heated and lovely to swim in. The whole stay was very relaxing and I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely stunning! I have already booked another weekend way trip here. The rooms have a loverly outback, the surroundings are amazing and any time there are animals around I’m happy so it makes it even better:) I believe it was Ruth I spoke with while the (terrible at remembering names) who is one of the owners and she was so loverly and helpful. Can not recommend enough!

Just got married here, cannot fault the venue or staff.
Beautiful people, beautiful garden and so very accommodating. We have had such a nice time visiting, planning and the wedding was stunning.
I could write a poem just about the sausage rolls haha. Food was great, everyone loved the arancini balls and the feast.
The owners are super involved and want you to have a great time, the staff were incredible from Tobi, Mardi and Robbie. We're so happy we chose this venue.

Attended a wedding here. Excellent decorations and atmosphere with all the lighting, decorations.

Al Ru Farm is absolutely stunning and the staff are so friendly I highly recommend checking them out for your next function or your wedding.

My wife and I got married at Alru Farm this past weekend and we can literally not fault a single thing. The whole lead up to the wedding was made as easy as possible- emails answered very quickly. The day went very smoothly and when the ceremony had to be moved into the hayshed undercover area due to weather- the Alru farm staff including our coordinator Mardi organized it very efficiently and in the end, the ceremony was better than we could of imagined. The Staff serving the food and drinks were so lovely and made sure everyone had enough to eat (including those with dietary requirements). Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, Alru farm. We will never forget the service you provided and memories made at your venue:) If you are looking for a wedding venue and love beautiful scenery, delicious food and the kindest staff- Alru Farm is 100% all these things.

Picnic hamper very poor.half a sandwich few bits and pieces at $45. Okay the garden needs a lot of work but ripping off your visitors is not sustainable for the long term. Not even a drink!

Went to the Autumn Picnic. Garden is now very run down, hamper was very poor compared to 90% of the wineries we attend. Wine was very reasonably priced and the band was good. Overall I like the ambiance of the place however the hamper was a real disappointment and the gardens are a real mess.

It was absolutely highlight of our holiday stay. Ruth and Alan were so accommodating and provided everything they could to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast, swimming pool, lovely pets and farm animals, we loved everything!

Just attended a wedding here, the property is really nice, awesome little area where the ceremony was held.

Stunning. We have our wedding booked for May 2023.

Out of all the places we visited nitnwas by far the nicest and most helpful.

Everything else seemed too corporate and almost "fake".

Al Ru just seemed the most genuine in wanting to make our day as special as possible

Very well designed and different areas has suck different feels to it. And to just walk around the gardens is a great way to spend the day. Come and visit and you will be amazed how big this place is. Well worth the visit

We had our wedding here on 26 August 2022 with 65 guests and it was beautiful and seamless. The venue was perfect for both our ceremony and reception and it was truly the happiest day of our lives.

The team at Al-Ru Farm are very easy to work with and responsive to all inquiries or concerns leading up to the big day. The venue has beautiful grounds with many spots for photo opportunities. They have many supplies and resources which are all clear and transparent on their portal. This made it easy to organise what we wanted to use during wedding planning.

Our ceremony was infront of the Lilly pond and reception in the barn. We chose to stay at the Garden Pavillion (bride & bridesmaids) and the Australian Suite (groom & groomsmen) the night before the wedding and got ready there. I could not speak more highly of our experience. The rooms are clean and well kept. My favourite feature was the heated towel rail in the bathroom!

The venue had alternative options for a ceremony in case of a rain day. Though we were very lucky with the weather, we did not worry as the alternative would have been just as beautiful.

We have received many compliments about how beautiful the venue is from our guests and absolutely agree!

My fiancé organised a weekend retreat to Al Ru Farm based on the photos on the web page. It was a sigh of relief to see that everything was exactly, if not better than what we expected! Sandra, was very helpful and helped us to set up a warm outdoor BBQ dinner in the open-are barn. Ruth and Alan are to be commended on their hard work in setting up the farm and, especially our Garden pavilion room with its own private garden. We enjoyed walking through the farm with wine in hand and in the morning, the warm fresh bread and farm fresh eggs could not have made for a better breakfast. We will definitely be back!

This just became my R&R retreat holiday destination. My sisters and I booked a retreat here at Al Ru just recently and absolutely loved it. Our host Ruth & and her husband were so hospitable. Thankyou so much Al Ru staff for making our stay so comfortable. My family and I are 100% choosing Al Ru Farm as our next holiday retreat spot.

Lovely unique BnB. Wonderful views from 2 large windows straight onto a magnificent old gum tree. Wake in the morning to hear the cows mooing, to see the sheep feeding and the amazing Guinea fowls flying up into the trees. Lovely big apartment with all mod cons but also a magical feeling created by the lovely art work and fairy light installation. Ruth is a wonderful host who is happy to take you v on a tour of the extensive 10 acre gardens. Highly reommend this BnB.

Gravel roads everywhere. Probably not suitable for a aged person with a walker, however the toilet was ample and had a handrail. Lots of garden areas with flowers and trees.

Stunning gardens set amongst a picturesque Adelaide Hills backdrop. Can't get better than this.

Not a whole lot to say.not because i don't want to, but because a short review wouldn't do enough justice!
Came here for my wedding in October and it was scarily perfect! AL-Ru farm helped set the mood with its beautiful, peaceful surroundings and extremely relaxing energy.
Staying the night before the big day helped immensely with preparation and the room was amazingly well kept and designed.
The catering was beyond on point! Everything looked fresh and organic and tasted just exactly that. It was beautiful!
