I had an excellent surgery and recovery post-wisdom teeth removal! I was very looked after and cannot fault my experience with Dr Khouri and his team

I tried to contact this office for ballpark costings, and stated I understood that any information supplied would be for general purpose information, and would not be relied upon as an estimate. I was told they could not provide a ballpark figure without a $250 consult, as they were unaware of what procedure was to be performed. I was told costings were based on item numbers. I provided Dental item codes used by insurers, but told they use Medicare item codes. I provided Medicare item codes and I was then told that a price estimate still could not be provided for the codes.

All in all, contacting the staff here felt like they were shifting the goalposts and were super unhelpful.

To date I still don’t know if the procedure I want done is $500, $1,000 or $10,000 because they did not want to disclose any pricing information. Although it seems initial consult pricing information is fine to give out.

With regard to services received throughout the early stages of COVID19, Dr Khouri, and his nursing staff and the receptionist in his rooms delivered a high level of workplace health and safety practices; adhering to the restrictive practice policy guidelines handed down from Professor Nicola Spurrier; South Australia's Chief Medical Advisor.

We felt safe entering the clinic during this pandemic and am grateful that Dr Khouri was able to accommodate my daughter's surgery prior to the announcement of all elective surgeries were about to cease.

Dr Khouri was easygoing in nature and my daughter felt comfortable to ask an array of questions regarding his longstanding career as an Oral Surgeon and about the procedure.

My daughter who suffers extreme anxieties felt confident going ahead with the surgery which was performed at Calvery Hosptial Wakefield Street Adelaide.

My daughter followed the instructions given to her in order for her successful recovery, and she was feeling better within 10 - 12 days.

I recommend Dr Khouri to prospective patients who require oral surgery; especially to those of whom are sensitive in nature as Dr Khouri builds a good rapport with his patients ensuring they feel safe and comfortable.

Many thanks to you Dr Khouri for alleviating my daughter's pain with the ability to do the procedure in such a short amount of time available to you.

Thanks to the staff for their efforts also as they were following realms of COVID19 restrictive health and safety practices which were not seen nor practiced before.

Adelaide MaxFax clinic comes highly recommended by me. I managed to get an initial appointment quickly. The staff at MaxFax were most helpful, supportive and understanding, they even helped with hospital admission and a follow up phone call post surgery to see how I was going. Dr Khouri and his medical staff at Calvary put me at ease before and after surgery and the medical procedures were carefully explained. I was given a care pack to take home. I really can’t imagine getting better care anywhere else!

Dr Khouri is indeed a skilled surgeon - took out 3 teeth with no after pain, swelling or discomfort at all.

Zahi removed my wisdom teeth in hospital and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. The anaesthetist was excellent and all of the staff are very friendly and professional. I appreciated the post operative follow up. Over all a very positive experience.

Dr Zahi Khouri at Adelaide MaxFax treated a complex reoccurring infection in my upper jaw that involved placement of artificial bone at the Parkwynd hospital. My treatment was explained in detail and was very successful, the infection has not returned, the artificial bone has grown and become one with my jaw. More recently he performed a difficult tooth extraction in his rooms. On both occasions I found Zahi and his welcoming staff to be most professional, informative and comforting. My daughter also had a positive experience when Zahi extracted her wisdom teeth at the Wakefield hospital.
I would certainly recommend Dr Zahi Khouri and Adelaide MaxFax to anyone that requires oral surgery.

When my dentist explained I needed a dental implant, I wasn’t sure what was involved and who would conduct my surgery.
My mind was soon put at rest when I was referred to Dr Khouri and the team at Adelaide MaxFax.
Getting to the Surgery on Kensington Road was easy and there is plenty of parking.
First impressions are always important, so I felt reassured when I walked into the relaxing waiting area and was welcomed by the Reception Staff.
It wasn’t long before Dr Khouri introduced himself and then we discussed the steps for my surgery and follow up. Dr Khouri answered all my questions and explained the first stage would be conducted at Calvary Wakefield Hospital followed by the second stage at the Adelaide MaxFax Surgery. It was also reassuring the same anaesthetist attended both stages and there was little discomfort post-operatively.
The personalised care I received was excellent and if I need any future treatment I will be very happy to again visit the Adelaide MaxFax team.

I was referred to Dr Khouri by my GP. From my first interaction I instantly felt at ease. He explained everything about my surgical condition in clear and simple to understand language and he answered all my questions about surgery and all the options available to me.
His bed side manner was warm and understanding. The staff at the practice were also incredibly helpful and friendly.

Dr Khouri operated on my daughter and throughout the process was diligent and friendly, achieving a great result. The anaesthetists with whom he collaborates are also of the highest calibre.

The staff at the surgery are fantastic, Dr Zahi Khouri was amazing.however the anaesthetist was insensitive in my opinion.my daughter was extremely nervous and when she asked if I can be with her until sedation takes affect.his response was “c’mon now.how old are you” insinuating that she’s being childish. If he said that they can’t allow more than the patient in, for hygienic reasons or whatever, then I would have been ok with that but his response was insensitive.my daughter was made to feel embarrassed. This is my personal opinion based on my personal experience.
