Adelaide City General Practice reviews
31The most central GP practice in Adelaide. All the doctors are very nice & friendly, as are the reception staff, the nurse and the on-site Clinpath staff. It's a small practice but one of the most efficient I've ever been to.
Just saw Dr. Jeremy Ho. He is definitely an important asset for the practice. I would give him 10 stars if I could for his knowledge, patience, humbleness and positive vibe.
Dr. Pitt was amazing. During my visit he displayed high levels of respect and integrity. I was blown away by the thorough knowledge and care delivered by Dr. Pitt. He was empathetic to my situation and didn’t rush me in any way. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Also the desk ladies were lovely. Love this place 5/5 can’t wait to come back.
I don’t tend to do reviews normally but have to say it’s important to keep in mind we are all subject to good and bad days, so maybe if visiting the clinic go with an open mind and no explanations. For my visit they get 5 stars, as receptionists accommodating and friendly, Dr Pitt shows he has knowledge and experience by the way he handled me and my problems and the waiting area open and informative about fees. What is it they say “treat others how you would like to be treated”… I’d give 6 stars if I could
Got racially profiled by the doctor who could clearly see the pain I was in and still referred me to another doctor. Would not recommend this practice or Dr Sarah Johnson.
We have been seeing Dr. Cathy Searls for the last decade and although we moved out of the city 5 years ago, we still go back to see her. A brilliant, gentle and informative gp. Very respectful and professional. Reception staff are lovely and helpful too. Keep on doing the good work and thank you
I have been seeing dr Pitt for about a year. I have never had a doctor who listens. And has a long background in substance, and addiction. And is understanding to my medical condition. And will never judge people's who suffer any mental health issues. Not to many doctors are qualified to give good advice on these issues. And any and all medical information The staff are friendly and very helpful Allround I can't fault this doctors surgery
This is my regular GP service. Excellent staff. I have been a patient since 2006. And have found the health care provided excellent
Outstanding experience at this practice. I was very impressed. Dr Peters was amazing, thorough, thoughtful and genuinely cared. She went above and beyond and is the best GP I have ever been to. I won't be going anywhere else.
We've been going to Adelaide City GP for 9 years. Hi Dr Pitt, please.you are not allowed to move inter-state nor retire, Ok? Some of the ladies at the front desk are nice and accommodating too. Thank you for everything that you do!
I honestly don’t know why Dr Peters even became a doctor, she clearly doesn’t want to help people. Save yourself some money, time and indignity of having her treat you like something she trod in and go elsewhere.
Have been going to this practice for approx 18 years, have had two regular Doctors during that time. Dr John Pitt has been our family doctor for quite a few years now. Probably one of the best doctors I have ever known. He is patient, knowledgeable and understanding. I hope he never retires!
Adelaide City General Practice is not like those production line surgeries that have sprung up all over the place, where I once had to wait 2 hours before finally giving up and leaving without seeing a doctor at all. The longest I have waited at Adelaide City is 1/2 an hour and the doctors don't rush you just to get through as many patients as they can = more money.
I first visited this practice in 2008 with a refugee friend who was new in Adelaide and we met Dr Cathy Sarles. We were impressed by her understanding of the many problems faced by refugees. Since then I have introduced a number of refugee friends & families to Dr Sarles. Several have chronic diseases. These friends have invited me to attend many, many consultations over the past 7 years. Dr Sarles is the best GP in Adelaide. She is unfailingly compassionate. She is thorough and persistent in researching difficult matters. We respect her knowledge, wisdom & willingness to push for better outcomes for her patients.
Overall this medical practice has a truly compassionate perspective when patients have other problems. I have advocated for patients a few times and the practice always finds a way forward. In the extremely busy reception area the staff are always both professional & welcoming.
Thank you to Adelaide City General Practice - you are 1st class in service & humanitarian care.
If you like being verbally abused and being treated like a child during your medical consultation, then I would highly recommend Dr Cathy Sarles. If you prefer being treated with respect, listened to and assisted with your health concern, perhaps look elsewhere for a GP.
The arrogant rat at desk with the glasses told me quote " i need the covid app" which is totally wrong and unprofessional to say. I will not be going back unless last last resort they are just rude here and dont know much.
Dr. Peters and Mikhail are the best doctors I have ever met, they helped me a lot and gave useful suggestions, unlike some doctors in other clinic won’t even listen to you.
Simple process, friendly reception too.
I came in today for my COVID Vaccine and met an amazing and professional nurse supporting Dr Gorgina who was consultative, caring and intelligent.
I may make her my GP after this visit. Well done and five stars
Dr Josephine Peters is the worst and the rudest Dr I ever saw in my life. Not professional, not respectful and racist. But other Doctors are amazing they are so helpful and merciful.
Doctor Georgie is amazing, she's caring, attentive and very lovely, however the receptionists are absolutely terrible. (thus the 4 stars, I would give 3 stars, but Dr
Georgie was really nice) Even speaking to them on the phone was dreadful.
If you are someone who just wants to see a genuine doctor and doesn't mind rude receptionists, then this is the place. Definitely ask for Dr Georgie.
Although if you prefer to have both a good doctor and service, then it's definitely not the place.
Terrible experience, front desk was extrenely rude and unprofessional, doctor was friendly but not very helpful.
