XXXX Brewery Tours reviews
51XXXX Alehouse, inside the famous Castlemaine Perkins brewery, is brewpub on its own right. However, it is also the starting and ending point for the brewery tours. It has a good selection of their own brew on tap. It also has XXXX on tap from a wooden keg. Patrons can use the pool and foosball tables, or wide variety of games at no extra charge. The service is cheerful, the location is breezy so it is easy to spend a few lazy hours at the Alehouse. There is even a gift shop area where XXXX merchandise can be purchased. The location did not offer free WiFi on the day of our visit.
What an unforgettable experience! Our tour guide Torry was super funny and entertaining. The history on beer videos played were well put together and engaging. The whole tour was amazing and the beer tasting was fun! We also got $5 gift voucher to spend on awesome XXXX merch. After the tour we had some yummy Woodfire pizza and more beer in the bar area and played pool. Such a fun Saturday afternoon spent with friends! I would highly recommend if your looking for things to do in Brissy!
Had a great tour hosted by Daniel. On the day he found out the tours are being cancelled for the moment due to Covid 19, he was informative, enthusiastic and professional. Lots of interesting facts, great to see the brewery in action and enjoyed the beer tasting at the end - of 6 great beers.
Recommend as an activity if you are visiting Brisbane. The food in the Alehouse Restaurant is good too.
Best of luck to Daniel and his colleagues in these uncertain times.
I've done a day and night tour. I highly recommend doing a day tour during the week so you get to see everything in action.
Our tour guide Paul was outstanding, from start to finish we were so informed and entertained with a great sense of humour. An extremely enjoyable and fun tour.
Best way to spend a hot and sunny summer afternoon. Took a very informative and enjoyable tour around the facilities which ended with a flight of beers - and don’t miss the 150 Lashes at the very end! Order another round of beer and a wood-fired pizza to celebrate. Remember to try out the free entertainment of pool, board games, and cards while you wait.
We’ve been there a few times and have enjoyed our meals and the service. Not sure if it’s under new management, but the last Thursday night was rather disappointing. Apparently the meals get prepared in bulk, as in all the parmies are done at the same time, all the gnocchis are done etc, not table by table. This meant that meals were brought out randomly to tables. Almost each table had one or two people finished their meals before the rest of the table got there’s, including our table. Actually, one of us didn’t even get our meal at all. After we told them about it, they said that it’ll be right out. A half an hour later, still no meal, we got a refund for that meal and left. All they offered was a free drink. Also, the gnocchi was the consistency of mashed potato and the meals a lot smaller than before. Not sure if we will be going back there in a hurry.
I enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was funny & friendly. He knows about his beer. We got $5 voucher that can be used as a discount for merchandise.
Need to wear shoes, high vis vest and protected glasses (the last 10 min) and they put away the bags. Cameras are allowed.
I love the beer tasting after the tour. The tour itself goes for 90 minutes.
For Finnish guy I had some troubles to follow guides speech, strong accent and fast way of speaking. Otherwise this tour was great and exciting. Of course got some tasting done also. Beer were great in here!
Daniel you’re a star! Came for lunch on a busy Friday during Christmas party season. Daniel was amazing and provided sensational service considering how busy the place was. Went above and beyond offering advice on the menu, pairing with drinks, and checked up on us. Service of a 5 star restaurant. Thank you!
Ok so I wasn't expecting to love the tour but the guide Shan was super funny and we had such a random tour group with many non English speaking guests. What an experience haha. The bar is a great spot to chill out afterwards and I had literally the best margarita pizza in Brisbane.
Did the tour today with Dan. Absolutely brilliant and was so friendly and informative. Thank you again. We both totally enjoyed our experience. All staff were awesome.
Excellent tour of the factory and beer production process, but my favorite part was the beer samples at the end and their nice food and drink menu in the bar. I will go back there just for food and drinks! The Wagyu meatballs were great!
Bar & resturant is too good, you would get various beers with main dishes such as burgers, chips etc. Staff also too good & there is tour for brewery that is also nice to know that how beers are made & packed.
Thank you Shan for an excellent tour, my partner was thrilled to come here today as a surprise date together. Keep up the hard work and keep the beer flowing
Went on a Saturday 11.30am session. The tour before us had 21 guests, randomly enough ours only had 6 guests. Felt more private:) Blake makes this worth the 5 stars! Engaging to all his attendees. Highly Recommend!
Management seem sincere in their response and hopefully address legitimate concerns. Thank you B Team
Highly recommend the brewery tour and Oscar was very knowledgeable, very nice and very witty. Especially his VB jokes
Wonderful tour. Very informative. Our guide Shanny had a great touch of humour and information responding to all our questions. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I'd recommend the tour highly and the food and drink were very good. John from Canada.
Overall a great tour. We learned a lot of things about breweries and the ingredients that go in the brewing process. The tour guide was vibrant and made the tour more fun. The tasting session at the end of the tour was awesome and we got to taste the various types of beer brewed at the facility.a must-visit for those visiting Brisbane.
