Walkin On Water Surf School / Go Ride A Wave Coolangatta

Another great morning surfing with these guys. Regardless of ability and skill level, Jamo, Dan and the rest of the crew really know how to get the best out of you. Would give you 10 stars if they would let me.

2nd UPDATE: Sadly it is not true what you write. The booking for my girlfriend was 100 % clear the guy grabbed his mobile and wrote the name in it as a booking like he told us. We ask him when we should pay and he told us that we should pay tomorrow. After that we say goodbye with the words 'see you tomorrow' and the guy replied 'see you tomorrow' nothing like 'we still need a mobile number' or stuff like that. But nevermind you think you did nothing wrong and I can't bring you to the point to see what you did wrong. The end of this story is you have your 1 star rating which is in my eyes to good for you guys. Cheers.

UPDATE: Come on who is now jeopardizing someone's name. As we are traveling through Australia we don't have wifi every day so I haven't seen your comment immediately. As we wrote text messages to the guy from (definitely) your surf school we have evidence that it really happened and the circumstance that you can't find that out is another negative point for your company. On 27th of November at approx 11 am we arrived at the beach and saw your surf school doing a lesson with two girls. There was a German surf teacher in the water and one other guy at the beach. We asked the guy at the beach if he was part of the surf school and if we can do a surf lesson. He said yes to both and offered us a lesson for the next day at 9.45 am. He also booked us in as he said on his mobile under the name Natascha. At the next day we arrived at 9.30 am at your trailer and waited for the teacher. But no one ever came. At 10 am we wrote a text message to the number which was provided on your trailer. We received a answer at 11.40 am which was:
Sorry Natascha,
I got caught up this morning so I couldn't make the lesson. I didn't have your number so I couldn't call.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused and if you are still interested in coming surfing our next available lesson will be Saturday at 9.45am.
Thank you.

This next surf lesson would have been 3 days later. And as we left the area on the next day it wasn't an option for us. So sadly we have no name but if you want I think you can find out who it was. The name doesn't matter to us anyway. We just came to this area to do a surf lesson und due to the good reviews everywhere we thought the walking on water surf school would be the best. So please understand why we are so disappointed.

Original: Made an appointment for a surf lesson at the next day. But the guy wasn't showing up on the scheduled time. As we ask him what happened he just said he was caught up. Not the best way to handle your customers who want to spend money on you.

These guys are great, relating easily to all ages and abilities. Good spot to learn surfing too.

Went out of their way to ensure we got a lesson even when there wasn't one scheduled. Instructor was patient and experienced.

Me and partner did this together to end off a long weekend trip away down the coast. Was a beautiful hot day and the waves were perfect for us. We got up there and did some awesome surfs and had some great laughs. Our instructor was so full of energy and was pumped to get us up and going and was a great instructor to ensure we did the right and safe technique. More then enough time was used and for that price (you can't complain!) was great and highly recommend them!

On a very ordinary day in the surf weather wise, Dan could not have been more patient with us 3 slightly over weight and older guys.lots of laughs and we'll be back. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Well we got back from our beach holiday yesterday and guess where we headed today? Yep the beach, so my son and I could have a surf lesson together.

I haven't been on a surfboard for about 15 years but just like riding a bike you soon get the hang of it again, even if you've only done it a few times before like me.

And my son? Well he is just a natural (despite being a goofy foot!) - he just catches waves and pops up like he's being doing it his whole life! Thanks ot the instructors who helped him nail his technique.

Great fun being able to do this together and the guys at Walkin' On Water Surf School were brilliant. They made it fun and safe, giving loads of encouragement and feedback. I'd certainly recommend going to Coolongatta to surf with these guys.

And now I want to but a board of my own! Watch out this is highly addictive.

We had a great time with Walkin on Water today. Dan's instructions/ techniques were super clear and surprisingly easy to follow. Dan is really encouraging, very knowledgeable about the water and super patient. I'm not really the sporty type, but I was catching waves, standing up and riding them in to shore during the lesson. We'll definitely be back.

Had an amazing time learning how to surf, great instructor strongly recommend Dan cool slick back dude with a great attitude and very helpful!
