Walkin On Water Surf School / Go Ride A Wave Coolangatta

I had a superb lesson with Arthur today. Although I was the only one with prior surf experience among a group of total beginners, I felt like I got personal attention to progress. We were a big group and the instructor was still able to provide individualized support to everyone in the water. I was quite impressed. I highly recommend this surf school! Will be returning.

It taught me everything from the basics of surfing, and it was so easy to tell me that it could easily happen even in strong waves.
It was the most fun and wonderful 2 hours to travel to Australia.
If you want to learn how to surf, I recommend this place.

We had the best time - Arthur was an incredible teacher - we had a ball - easy to learn from and helped the whole way through tweaking little things! Thank you so much could not have asked for a better experience!

Just had a blast of a lesson with Arthur. Was such a fun and supportive environment to build some fundamentals and get more comfortable out in the water.

Fabulous afternoon spent with our Instructor Stuart! He quickly clued onto where we were at with our surfing ability (which is still limited) but we were wanting a challenge. He knew exactly where to position us out in the surf to try catch a decent wave. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, safety conscious and overall gave us the experience we were looking for. Thanks again Stuart! We’ll definitely be back!

We had two great days and the instructor Stuart was excellent and very helpful. We started off with one kids but come day two the other one wanted to join in as she saw how much fun it was. The girls both caught waves on their first attempts and loved it!
Great experience and would highly recommend to anyone of all ages. Thank you Jamo for being accommodating and fitting us in and a huge thank you to Stuart for being such a good instructor and and helping the girls learn to surf.

Our family did 3 days of lessons and by the third day our 8 year old was catching waves out the back.

I recently had my first ever surf lesson with Teneille at Walkin On Water. I have always wanted to surf however been to scared as I'm not the fittest. Jamo and Teneille made me feel immediately as ease and pumped me up that I could do it.and just like that on my 3rd wave I stood up! I was so stoked, I stood up a few times but it didn't matter to me how many times I didn't stand up I was just so happy that I had gone and done it! I've already bought a board to practice on and will 100% be back to the guys at Walkin on Water when I return to the coast for a follow up lesson.

If you love the water, have ever been too scared to surf or thought you aren't fit enough or strong enough I definitely recommend taking the leap and just doing it because it felt incredible and the team Walkin on Water were amazing

After few minutes instruction, I was able to catch waves and stand up for few seconds. My daughter and I really enjoyed the surfing lesson. She got up on board by herself and caught a wave right in to the beach! Instructor was great. Kept us safe. Told us what to do and where to go on the beach and in the surf.

I had a few private lessons with Jamo while staying on the Gold Coast. I quickly realised that previous lessons with other surf schools had been a complete waste of time and money. Jamo is the master of technique and does it all with a smile. Highly recommend!

My daughter had a private one to one lesson with Jamo. She had previously had a lesson at another school and did not gain enough basic skills to allow her to surf waves on her own. By the end of her lesson with Walkin on Water, she was up and away. The instructor was fantastic and provided a fun, positive and safe environment to learn in. I would 100% recommend this company if you or your kids are wanting to learn how to surf. Thanks again Jamo for giving my daughter the basic skills she needed.

My friends and I had the best time! Jamo and Tas were really encouraging and a lot of fun. I definitely recommend Walkin On Water Surf School!

So much fun! We had a perfect day and perfect instructors to help us. We are a family with 3 teenage boys who thought it was all a bit 'lame' to start with, especially when I made them take a photo in our matching rashies. Within half an hour we were all riding our first wave and loving it! Fantastic experience all round. Thanks Jamo & team. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had a lesson.im not good with names I think her name was Marcella? She was from Brazil such a lovely lady and really knows her stuff and she was so encouraging. Overall a great experience we will be having another lesson when we come back for a holiday.

Can speak high enough of our experience with Walking on Water and Dan the instructor. Highly recommended to all who are looking to learn to surf. My daughter 9yr had a blast.

Great day out surfing with my two daughters aged 9 and 11. The instructors were flexible, knowledgeable, helpful and patient with all of us (including myself who needed more help than the children!). My 11 year felt really confident after the lesson and is super keen on surfing again - perhaps surfgroms over the school holidays. Thanks guys!

So much fun with these guys, my 7yr old had a blast and so keen to do it again. Dan & Stuart are so friendly, patient and they make sure the session is fun for all ages.

Bought my son three surf lessons with Walking On Water for Christmas as we were staying in Coolangatta over the school holidays. Best gift ever as he had never surfed before and is now confident and hooked on it. I highly recommend Walking On Water.

Had a great couple of sessions with Dan and all the guys here. Looked after everyone from me (the old dad) to both kids. Very enthusiastic, professional and caring instruction. Could not recommend more highly.
