Urban Climb West End reviews
80Great place. Gets packed but planty of places to climb. Went with a friend and we had a blast. Definitely goi g again
Great Facility with friendly, 'on the ball' staff who are always there to help and keep things running smoothly. Phoebe was our intro coach who shows such passion and vibrance every time we are there. Even at the busiest of times, it's still easily manageable. Thanks for an awesome experience with great value for money.
It is very unprofessional the way that the staff push clients into leaving at the end of the night. Today I was in earshot of staff at 21.50 complaining about clients not leaving, and 'putting on the song' loudly. The fans get turned off at 21.30, the lights start going at 21.45. Makes you feel very unwelcome, especially if you come for the late night session.
Some of the holds are getting really smooth you can tell they've been recycled to many times. Some of the staff really hate there job & Cleanliness doesn't seem to be a priority either. Also whats up with booking the lead assessment at the busiest hours of the day and a 4 week waiting list? I understand that popularity of this place makes it hard for some of these things, But St peters climbing gym in sydney doesn't have any of these issues, its rare to find an overused hold there. $20 a visit is steep to deal with all that.no i dont want membership stop asking me. Going to stick to KP, Frogs and glass house for a while.
The best rock climbing gym in Brisbane by far. Really good top rope routes, which are reset often too. There's a massive bouldering cave which has some great problems. Upstairs there's even a conventional gym too.
Great climbing gym located conveniently in wonderful West End. Plenty of top rope routes as well as a lead climbing area and a decent bouldering section. There's something for every climber here. Also, members get free yoga, fitness and climbing instruction classes. Plus, all the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Just awesome. Love this place.
Pretty cool place for variations in climbs. The bouldering wall was challenging - wish they had some more intermediate ones.
Great facility with lots to do, can get very busy though. Time your arrival as inductions are run on a schedule and you may have to wait up to half an hour before you can start climbing.
One of the biggest wall climbing facility with good guidance and all the required equipment and safety.
Highly Recommended
Heaps of climbs at various levels of difficulty and a small amount of very overhanging bouldering. Very busy weeknights from around 6-8pm
Great Wall, friendly staff and crowd. Ridiculously over engineered safety rigs for ground anchors that you are forced to belay from.
Good climbing gym. The rest area on the second floor is not as comfortable as Milton. Book the lead climbing test is so inconvenient! Disappointed.
My 5 and 7 year old get to grow, develope and change themselves every week with the fantastic team here.
I meet friends and take the kids. The parents usually belay but sometimes are fortunate enough to climb. Staff are extremely helpful!
Great indoor climbing centre that caters to all skill levels - both first-time climbers (of nearly all ages, although younger kids are complicated) and much more experienced as well. Prices are reasonable for a session, and shoes and equipment aren't much more to hire as well. The warehouse does get rather hot and humid on a warm day inside, but there are plenty of fans to keep it as cool as possible - bring a water bottle.
Great climbing gym for beginner and experienced alike. If you haven't been it's worth a visit for the experience.
If it's your first time, staff are very nice and quick to help you set up and feel welcome. The gym has everything you'll need to get you off the ground.
Drinks and snacks can be bought over the counter and great deals for people just starting off.
So many climbs! It can get busy, but the route setting is great. Also has a difficult bouldering wall.
Top rope and bouldering. A good selection of top rope climbs with and without overhang. Only a couple of bouldering climbs. Shower for after your climb, good for when you are heading to work after a climb.
Some fantastic belaying climbs but some mighty difficult bouldering. Staff are wonderful and friendly. Great vibes in this place!
Good selection of top ropes varying in grades and type of climbing. Bouldering is tad smaller when compared to Milton and Newstead but you will have plenty of opportunities to get tired within your grade. Can get crowded and hot in the evenings so visit during the day if you can. Compulsory training is a bit of nuisance - if you never climbed before, take the course not to harm yourself and others. If you climbed for more than decade like me - it's a bit of waste of time.
