What rude people? We asked what this shop was about and the woman who attended to us started speaking in a slow speech as if we were from another planet. There are many other places to see so dont visit this shop - a disgrace

An absolute gem! Definitely recommend to anyone that has the chance to stop in. The staff were amazing and you can bring you dog.

I had read the reviews (good and bad) and I decided to make my own mind up about the place.
I knew it wasn't real caves, and it is a reasonable representation, just not worth the $25 (pp) entry fee.
The shop is good, well lit.but the staff are constantly getting in your face trying to sell you something. When you just want to have a look at things in your own leisure, it's just a bit confronting. It's to be assumed that they work on commissions for sales because they are just a little over the top.
Commendations to them for being a disability employer as well.this is just an assumption as well.as all 5 of the staff that were saw today, were not wearing masks as per the Queensland government mask mandate.and you are only exempt from wearing a mask with a medical exemption.so kudos to them.

Highly recommend visiting the Crystal Caves if you like crystals. The museum section was incredible and we spent about 2 hours wandering around. I loved the added touch of giving each person their own headlight so you felt as if you were going down into real caves to find these crystals. We cracked our own geodes while we were here and it was amazing. Being the first person to ever see what's inside it was kind of thrilling. We ended up cracking three! The staff were really nice and very knowledgeable.

The store itself is absolutely spectacular, totally worth the visit. Kudos to the owner for this.

The staff however are atrocious. Awkward stares / no customer service. Only 1 of the 5 staff members were actually helpful.

The older woman at reception should be trained to be more hospitable, because i have never seen behaviour from an adult so bad.

Her attitude towards younger customers is nothing but rude and belittling. Making snarky comments on the way someone choosing to pay for something is very unprofessional.

So yea, be warned if you're not a middle-aged customer:)

Cheers.

I loved this place, the caves are so beautiful and the crystals and rocks are so pretty it's hard to choose. The staff are very lovely and helpful, I wasn't feeling well and they really went out of their way to help me, thank you.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing place! Displays are amazing! Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Museum had some really cool exhibits! The whole family had a great time. The kids cracked a geode each. Tonnes or different crystals to buy and well priced. Rock on Crystal Caves!

Very well presented. Here's a great guy who is really passionate about his huge collection of crystals. This is by far the biggest collection of crystals I've ever since all across Australia. The museum was very informative and there are interactive activities available. Thanks Renee and his daughter Jessie for sharing this wonderful amazing place with us. I really enjoyed my experience visiting this place. Definitely worth a visit.

What an experience. Came here thinking it might just be a few nice gemstones and a few displays, well I was wrong!

Touring through the shop initially we then decided to go through the self guided tour of this private collection. It was incredible! The variety of gemstones and various formations here are incredible.

It is absolutely a must do if you're coming through Atherton to see the crystal caves and even to crack open your very own gemstone to keep!

Certainly would come back just to see it again next time we come through the area.

One of our favourite stops on the Atherton tablelands. Some amazing and very cool crystals and fossils. A life’s work displayed in a very cool and interactive way. The crystals and fossils have been built into a man made cave and you don your headlamp and go exploring to see what wonders you can find. Great fun and very interesting for any age. I particularly like that you can touch most of the crystals making it very interactive. Well worth the admission fee. Much larger then it appears from the entrance which is half the fun. You can even try your hand a cracking a geode and they have a large assortment of stones, gems and fossils for purchase in the gift shop.

The Crystal caves is a great place to explore all the different types of crystals from around the world. I would recommend the museum to see the collection Mr Boissevain collected over the years is fascinating. I do have to note if you are taller than 6 foot you will have to duck your head for a little bit, but it is worth it. The gift shop is also great to look through and cracking a geode is quite exciting.

Great place for the rock lovers.nice to look through the personal collection of Rena and see the stones in their natural formation. Kids looked to crack the geod at the end. They have a good shop, with lots of options for you to take something special home also.

The cave was amazing! Filled with all sorts of wonderful gems! The shop also has a wide variety and range of items with affordable gemstones too! I would recommend picking and cracking your own geode too!

Hubby initially was "Do we have to, it's not even a real cave", but by the end of it was "Gee, I'm really glad we went there, that was pretty cool". We got to pick out a Geode from the box of our price range and got to crack it too, which was interesting. Incredibly deceptive in the size of shop. Very friendly staff. Worth the trip. Wow!

The self guided tour was amazing so many fossils, crystals and information to view. The information handbook was also extremely informative. The staff were all friendly and made the crack your own geode experience one to remember. We would defiantly come back

Great if you love all things rocks. The crank a geode is a really cool gimmick. A small boy performed the cracking a fell over with the effort but was rewarded with a beautiful geode.
I think the owner is more than a little obsessed with amethyst crystal geodes though
