Sunshine Castle reviews
65 Loved this place! Great way to educate kids on middle ages. Shame the rest of the castle was closed today as we would have lived to see it all.
Really enjoyable and would definately recommend. Affordable too.
We didn't realise the place was undergoing maintenance before we arrived, but we still had a super time! We played the treasure hunt game, got to see some awesome doll set-ups and learn a thing or two about medieval times. Their toy/gift shop is also incredibly extensive, with tons of European branded toys. The staff are also super friendly and helpful, I recommend visiting this place:)
The 6 yr old lad had a blast! Especially enjoyed the quiz games and toy shop. Staff were absolutely lovely.
A number of the areas are closed off as they are in disrepair. I suspect this is a result of an extended slow period courtesy of the pandemic. Nonetheless there's a lot of history here and a few unconventional sites. Had an ok time but would definitely like to see this place restored.
Still a good place to visit, needs more money spent on bringing the castle to its fullest potential
Needs a face lift and notice that less than half is open. Lucky we didn't have to pay full price
Looked forward to coming here
It's unreal
Lots of medieval nik naks
U can try on hats & different things
There's a dolls hallway, if u like dolls
Very disappointing three quarters of the castle was closed and yet you still have to pay the same entry fee. Waste of time coming as you couldn’t actually see any of the castle except the courtyard entry. Unless you only want to see the dolls I wouldn’t bother visiting. Prices in the gift shop are insane! Staff were friendly though.
Great place, even with a section off limits today it is still worth having a look. The dolls also were excellent and exceeded my expectations. Finally the coffee was also very good. Well done!
Lovely staff the building is amazing and great fun for kids but the prices in. The gift shop are jaw dropping.
$80 for a foam toy sword
Overrated!
We were very excited to find out about this castle. However, our visit was a serious disappointment. It encompasses a small courtyard.and a collection of dolls. Even the kids were not interested in the dolls as they thought they looked very creepy. The entry fee was $8/person and we even had to pay for a 3 year old. Some areas were supposedly off limit but later found out that those were just doors. No value for money.
Good place to be, mostly for kids. It reminded me of my childhood and the stories we heard. They have fascinatingly developed each stories. From Alice in the wonderland, Aladdin to national costume showdown of the world! We played scavenger hunt game which was very engaging, we also won! Ant my niece a small souvenir from here.
An unusual yet fun experience. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. The doll museum and castle are interesting and a little bit unusual. If you are after something different definitely check this place out.
There is also a toy shop and cafe, I haven't seen toys like this elsewhere.
Not worth the Money paid 48 dollars two adults four kids in and out in 10 minutes have all girls dolls bit all run down not good for boys have been there years ago looks like no maintenance is ever done thats why its falling down what a sham
We didn't go through as our kids were a bit to old & they weren't far off closing, but us "big kids" want to head through another day
Enjoyed a great hour here, not expensive, good look into Mediaeval Times, I think it's the largest castle in Australia and pet friendly.
The largest and most detailed castle in Australia outside of Europe which I didn't think existed. Lots of awesome stoned walkways throughout and on top of the castle connecting it to all different sections. Information, displays, armoury, weapons, all made us feel like we were in the Medieval times. You won't be disappointed. A must to do! And even if it rains you can walk through.
Went there with my girl and friend's children. The kids had a great time. The food there were very nice.
Beautiful fantasy land for young and old. Friendly staff great food and beware fantastic toy shop. Wonderful.
