Sunshine Castle

Sadly it was closed when we got there and we couldn’t even really get good photos. But was so run down I’m not sure we missed anything. Love the idea of taking a princess loving child to see a castle though

I remember going to this place as a kid, stopped in during a girls trip about 15 years later and sad to say its a bit run down. I'd be hopeful to say that if they get more tourists through they might be able to get it back up and running how it used to be.

Was initially a bit disappointed that parts of the castle were closed, but the doll collection was a really fun and unique experience. Wide variety of dolls dressed in many different cultural costumes.

There's also a toy shop in the castle, and the staff are friendly and have an obvious love of toys.

Great to revisit the old castle, half price due to restrictions due to safety issues and in need of repairs, she is up for sale recommend a visit as future of castle unknown, super friendly staff.

An interesting place to visit. More could certainly be done with the place I believe. Glad the entry price isn't high due to the limited things to do. The treasure hunt was a bit of fun. Nice place. Worth a look.

The main castle was being upgraded, but you could still see the smaller one at a cheaper price Well worth the visit for the whole family. Some of the exhibits look like they came from Aladdin's cave in Maroochydore that used to be opposite Big top plaza. It would be interesting to see old photos of that place as part of the castle

Argh I hate negative reviews but this place was really disappointing. Most of the castle is closed. All you get to see is a bunch of dolls & a toy shop. It’s such a shame because this place has such huge potential for when the actual castle opens up. I hope they get it fixed soon

I only went for the toy store. Great toy store. Building is falling apart though - looking at the rest of the venue it looked very piss weak. Good if you are into that thing. My teens are "too cool" for pissweak, but son walked away with a dress sword from the gift shop. If I was just with my spouse I would have been inside in a hearbeat for $8pp pissweak.

Definitely not worth the money to get in. So much is closed off and not accessible. One particular staff member was very rude. Great toys but very expensive

Wonderful fun experience, castle part was closed but still great doing treasure hunt and looking at artefacts and dolls. For 8.00 per person I highly recommend for a fun hour or 2.

I love this place from when l was a teenager to bringing my grandchildren here & hopefully celebrating my 60th

A very interesting and different thing to do if you are visiting to sunshine coast. But unfortunately all you will see is the dolls room, the big heavy door that won't open, a few armour and swords which you can't even play with and ofcourse the toilets. All for just $8 pp. I am very disappointed I was expecting much more from a big castle and even though I paid only $8 I still felt ripped off. I am predicting this castle will go bankrupt because I don't think many people are willing to pay the money for such little activity. This place had huge potential but it delivered nothing. Just like Werner for Chelsea

Kids loved the castle from the outside…tried being friendly to a lady who has no interesting in customers.didn’t go in and see won’t come back to see

Old and crumbling which castles should be. Excellent displays, treasure hunt, good coffee and awesome toy store.

Mmmm…. What can I say? I mean it’s $8 a person which is a little steep for the fact that it’s extremely run down, most the dolls have been sold off so it’s very dismal… worth it for the laugh!? ‍️

The castle is ok but most of it is closed do not the best time to visit.
But it's good for the kids as they had a quiz to find info to win a prize for kids

Something different from the beach attractions. Would love to see the rest of the castle. There's been a massive effort collecting and displaying the dolls and creating the scenes. Great for little kids.

Amazing place should definitely come if you like being chased by scary little old dolls, a lot of places were blocked off and felt like I would be strangled. There was a lot of things wrong with the place, I could see the insulation in the roof, a big part of the wall was missing. I will definitely come again to see the haunted dolls, overall the creepy dolls and the blocked off areas are great, I think the $8 per person is amazing in total my family spent $40 and we were there for less than 20 minutes, seems a little expensive but it was worth it, although my child can't sleep anymore because one of the dolls gave her nightmares for 3 months but other than that pretty good.

I was expecting a full mediaeval experience. Not a 40 year old doll display. Even the kids were disappointed. Not worth wasting your time or money, very disappointed.

The castle is an amazing and mostly interesting place. We enjoyed ourselves looking around and doing the treasure hunt.
