Stratco

Very disappointing. Went in to get some artificial turf advertised in the current catalogue. Apparently it's not carried in-store, you have to order it and it's cut to length in the factory. Ok, 'do you have samples to look at? ', No. You're expected to order sight unseen. Wonder how many other advertised products are similar. Sorry, can't see myself going back.

I went into the Stratco Archerfield store, and the lovely Naila helped with my colourbond fencing order I got it delivered, the entire process from ordering to the delivery was fantastic. Quality of the stratco fencing is brilliant. Thank you for the assistance.

Horrible service in the warehouse (pickup area)

Yesterday I tried picking up a small order from stratco Archerfield and arrived at 4: 15pm however the warehouse had changed its pickup time to 4pm - fair enough, although the staff member I dealt with (blonde) was incredibly rude while ordering me to return to tomorrow between 8am-4pm.

Today I called them and informed them that I’ll be arriving at 3: 55 and that they can have it out and I’m happy to load it myself if need be. - me trying to be nice knowing they don’t like working a minute after 4pm apparently. I was told if you’re not here by 4pm you won’t be able to pick it up.

I arrived and was waiting to be served at there desk at 3: 55 while they were all standing behind the racks pretending I wasn’t there. 4 pm clicks over and a Bloke Walks out to say they don’t do pickups after 4pm. Are you kidding!

I can appreciate that you’ve probably worked all day and I’m getting there very close to the closing time, however I also worked all day and if I want to work tomorrow I need our materials.
The warehousing staff should have a good think about the way they treat there customers- especially tradies if you want our business.

The staff are now very much more pleasant and helpful and the products they have are good but they have cut down on the number of products offered.
Spent some time in Adelaide recently and the Stratco store that I frequented there had a much more comprehensive range.
Roofing and fencing materials seem to be their main lines.

I would like to know why it’s expected for people purchasing products to help load them in the car/ trailer or whatever. With colourbond sheets for instance, what happens say if I got injured. Wouldn’t that be an insurance liability having people load the vehicles. I can’t think of any place who expects their customers to help load sharp, heavy or dangerous item.

And at this stage In life with covid 19, I would have thought no contact pick up etc would be a given. Any other place we have had dealings with, all have a no contact policy in place. I was appalled at the closeness of customers and staff today when we were there today. One poor elderly lady didn’t want to approach the sales desk due to the people crowding around it. I’m not talking one or two people but over 10 at least. No line, no social distancing and definately no customer service etiquette either.
Definately not a covid safe environment to be shopping in.

Very helpful. We went in to get a colorbond fence and gate, the sales was very knowledgeable and helps us through our purchase. The wait time for the items to be put together in the factory didn’t take long at all considering it was just after Xmas we ordered. We put the fence together ourselves but the items were in immaculate condition when we picked them up.

The store has been recently renovated with new displays of there products

Poor slow service vague advice limited help to customers and sold "new" gates missing bolts and bottom hinge plates

A well stocked hardware store but this is no Bunnings. I asked for advice and ended up purchasing what was recommended which turned out to be incorrect.

I absolutely love the service here more than anything else in the store. For me the overnight roof sheeting cut to size service is fantastic. I had an emergency roof replacement the other day and to be able to get replacement sheets to size the next day was a winner. They must have a night shift team at the main factory processing the order for delivery to store the next day. I was a little disappointed in the lack of text message when the material turned up in store. I just went down to the store and the materials were there waiting.

BEWARE DO NOT TRUST STRATCO! NOTHING CUSTOM ORDERED IS TRULY 'CUSTOM TO SIZE". VERY POOR QUALITY AND SERVICE. Paid ~$2000 for CUSTOM-SIZED horizontal slat aluminium gate. The "custom" gate received was 20mm longer, each individual slat had to be manually cut down ourselves! We waited a month for this "custom" gate to be made as well! PROVIDED PHOTO VIDEO EVIDENCE. STRATCO DENIES ALL FAULT. We will be escalating this with OFT. CONSUMERS ARE ENTITLED TO CONSUMER GUARANTEES. STRATCO CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Another item we purchased (see photo) Stratco's 1000mm "Quickscreen" gate kit was actually 1015mm. Nothing precise about their sizes. The "kit" only contained aluminium slats, no hinges or lock either! WE ARE UTTERLY DISGUSTED BY STRATCO!

Staff were super rude. Sat on their phones talking about what was going on on their social accounts no acknowledgement of customers in store. Ended up walking out empty handed.

Had to buy a new water pump as the old one surcumbed to age and over work. The price for the replacement of the same unit had only increased by $40 over 15years.

Went in to buy a couple of metres of fencing & took forever. They have limited stock, computer recods don't relect stock in yard & they only have warehouse staff on weekdays so nobody to help load on weekends.

They are very helpful, professional they help you anyway they can with a smile very informative about there products very nice atmosphere always come out of there feeling good.

Great clean and tidy large showroom. Nice to be open on a cool Sunday where we got some firewood for the fireplace at a nice super saving.

Rang Stratco Archerfield numerous times requesting a quote for a new Garage and patio roof. Gave them exact measurements and everything required for them to issue me with a quote, I was advised that I would get a call back to confirm quote was received and etc. 3 months later and still haven't received a quote or even a courtesy call. Glad I went elsewhere or else I would still be waiting.

I like this store but one thing. Staff advise you they can take an order via email, it is much quicker in person if time is an issue. Staff dont let you know the delay via email.

Not happy! Rang yesterday regarding the fan EL-4326 on special. I was told there was 26 in the Archerfield store. When we went this morning the salesman tried selling me a different model cause he didn't know what I was talking about and then I was told there wasn't and hasn't been any of that particular stock at that store or any store in Qld. Very bad marketing ploy.
