Stock Exchange Hotel reviews
46Good standard beer choice, large area which means you can still experience a good atmosphere while your group has space. Food great, not special, but exactly what you want with a beer. A staple and stable get together place.
Great, big beer garden upstairs. Good Sunday drink specials. Some other patrons were a bit rough but got dealt with pretty quickly.
Disappointing food and experience. The stake was medium rare on the edges and rare and chewy in the middle. Also, I was charged regular price for a beer with another price attached to it. Probably I should have raised these issues with manager but we just decided to leave.
We never came before the renovation but the rooftop is pleasant now. Fairy lights and the lights of the surrounding city towers. The building is only 2 story so don't expect grand city views but on a nice Brisbane evening it's a good spot for a drink and a fair priced pub meal. Portions are generous.
Nice place to relax, have lunch and a refreshing ale on a warm Friday arvo. Good value burgers. Friendly staff. Nice work
Killer rooftop bar. Great views, solid happy hour before 7, wonderful bartenders who helped a couple of lost Americans have a great night.
I was here for New Years with some friends and about thirty minutes after new year I was pulled aside and removed. I know many might think I was doing some drunk shenanigans but I was not. The man gave me no justification to why I was being removed. They messed up the night and we had to all leave early. The view was nice which was one of the only thing they had going for them.
Awesome club to drink and party away on a sunday. Drinks were very well priced compared to some clubs
Unfortunately awful burger bun that murders what little tastes bud remain after the average patty. Someone in our group didn't receive their food and after asking how long it would be a short rude and intrusive manager came forward making everyone pull up their phone and bank accounts to prove that the meal had been payed for.obviously it had been and no sorry or apology was made. Not cool my man, not cool. Waitress was lovely though
Very disappointed as food is usually great. Today I had the gnocchi which was bland and tasted like it was just soaked in water. Pumpkin was also bland and mushy
The bartender was being rude and calling my friend names trying to provoke a fight over standing on the stairs to the staff area (my friend wasn’t standing there on purpose, he didn’t hear him asking him to move the first few times as he had his back faced to him and the music was very loud).
The bartender got ME kicked out by security because I said “hello why are you being so rude to him” even though my friend had removed himself from the stairs immediately once he realised.
Definitely do not recommend or provoke such disgusting behaviour!
The bar tender continued to smirk and laugh at us as we walked out of the hotel.
Definitely unprofessional!
Bring your ID, even if you're 34 because the staff seem to be somewhat face blind to wrinkles, sags, bitterness, and loss of youthful good looks.
I was a sober driver and the bouncers dragged me out of the club because a bartender didn’t like my friend. Unprofessional, she should keep her personal matters out of the workplace. The bartenders first name was Xeoul and she was very rude and grumpy. I understand that the bouncers were just doing their job and have to throw people out when a bartender tells them to. But they were very rough and it was uncalled for.
Authentic Australian pub grub. A bit of additional fun is injected by the staff. The roof top bar is a nice place to enjoy the sun.
A landmark Brisbane pub. The pub-grub leaves you spoiled for choice, and the staff are efficient and friendly.
I had my 21st at the stock exchange on Saturday night (8/12) and it was awesome. The room and private bar were a perfect size and the bar staff and waitresses were amazing! Thank you to Jamie for helping us organise a great night, his customer service and his ability to go above and beyond to help us was fantastic! The food for canapes and dinner was also very tasty. Thank for an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend stockies for an event space in the future.
Meh, was ok nothing that would make me go out of my way to go back there. But no negative experiences either.
Great place for an after work or lunch time beer and snack. Found this place to be really busy during lunch time. There was a queue for ordering food. Asides from the queue to order food everything else is pretty good.
Not bad for after work drinks on a Friday. Upstairs tends to be for a younger crowd, but the staff are always pleasant. It can get pretty rowdy over the weekend, but their large smoking area offers a bit of breathing room away from the crowds. The food here is alright, but the cheap drinks and casual atmosphere is the main draw.
Went to the stock exchange for Trivia Night 90s. A great event organised well and with a great crew rubbing it. Drinks were on point and the place was clean and tidy. I highly recommend using the stock exchange for events as they are reasonably priced and offer a great service with food and drinks packages.
