Rio Rhythmics is such a good community. They make everyone feel welcome and have fun. I always thought partner dancing was boring but Rio Rhythmics ignited a flame for Latin dancing that i never thought i have. Love the teachers and the classes!

Need a fun night out, look NO further. Rio Rythmics is like joining a new family, you can just go along to a Saturday night beginner class, no booking required, and you will join a large group of people doing the same. Go alone [I did] or take a friend. NO experience is needed and the teachers are really good at giving you easy steps to follow. It's really social and great Brazilian music. For the more experienced dancers it's a fun place to go social dancing every Fri and Sat. I have been doing lessons for some time there now and have loved every moment, met some great people. If you need to perk up your life, rock in one Sat night! Just do it.

Rio is not only a great dance school, but a wonderful community to belong too. The teachers are enthusiastic in sharing their love and knowledge of not only the dances, but also the culture. Front of house/admin are welcoming and so helpful in assisting with enquiries.

Beautiful people, beautiful music and amazing dance styles. I had zero dance background and got no rythm. The wonderful people at Rio Rhythmics taught us everything from basic up to the diverse dance styles. You will definitely find one that fits you perfectly or maybe a few! I cant recommend this place enough.

So, you've decided you want to dance (and there are million reasons why you should), and you're wondering if Rio Rhythmics is the place for you. I took my first baby steps here three years ago. I had never been on a dance floor in my life and was of course terrified at the prospect. "what would people think" "two left feet" and all that. Yep, learning how to embrace a girl properly and leading her so she feels safe and beautiful and in the flow with the music is a big ask. But it's OK, it's fun, we can all do it. You just need kind, gentle, patient and yet inspiring and beautiful teachers. Three years later I'm still here and learning every day.speaks for itself, doesn't it? You'll love it at Rio Rhythmics, just walk up those steps and give it a go.

The team at Rio are excellent! It is an awesome dance school that is very welcoming. You don't need a partner and you don't need any dancing experience - you'll have pretty of new friends and will be dancing away soon enough! Great people. Great culture. Great community!

Unfortunately my experience with Rio Rhythmics management has not been great, as a matter of fact, its been terrible.

I started dancing at Rio in autumn 2018. When I came to the reception to pay for 1 class for a full terms PLUS 2 casual classes to trial that evening, I was accidentally charged for 3 classes for the entire term. No one is to blame, accidents happen and communication isn't perfect.

However, when I received the email confirming my enrollment and the receipt attached, I contacted Rio that same day explaining the situation and whats happened I was met with a lovely girl who said she would follow up and call me back. This never happened and I tried to follow up on the issue myself a few weeks later. When I then got a hold of the female manager of the academy I was met with rudeness and a complete disregard of the actual circumstances. I was told that I had paid and signed up for something and "regretting it later on" is not an excuse for a refund. I was shocked by the response and tried to explain the situation again, trying to find an amicable situation by providing different solutions such as:
1. Refunding me the incorrect amount
2. The credit for the 2 full term classes to be used for privates with my instructors
3. The credit for the 2 full term classes to be used as payment for different casual classes i wanted to try and rolled over to a consecutive term as I didn't have enough free time for 3 classes per week.

Despite me requesting the woman to talk to the girl from the reception and try so solve the issue she refused, the end of the conversation was when the woman blatantly told me to either come to the classes I had incorrectly paid for or to forfeit any monies paid.

After this encounter I have not returned to Rio Rhythmics and there many lovely dance schools in Brisbane that treats their customers a lot better and I would not recommend anyone to go to this school due to this treatment.

With that said, the teachers at this academy are well educated and trained in their specific subject and are in no way related or reflected in this review. This is just about the way they treat people.

I've been regularly attending Saturday nights casually and it has been a really great community of lovely, vibrant people. I always leave with a massive smile on my face.

Rio Rhythmics is my second home. It amazes me with its heritage, the variety of styles it offers and how it runs classes every day and parties every week! It is an iconic and welcoming space.

"If Music Be The Food of Love, Then Play, Play On" - dance at RIO, you will learn so much about music, your body, movement and the personality you dance with, tis so revealing, actions/movements really do speak louder than words.

The music - the wonderful rhythm, be careful tis very quickly addictive, this thing called fun…….

Rio Rhythmics helps you find your coordination, your dance, a zest and the spring in your feet.

I can't think of many better ways to add cool stuff and smile to life than beginning and learning Latin dance.

I tell you what - Rio Rhythmics dance classes are just fabulous. I admit I couldn't dance but after a fun filled term of dancing I am feeling much better in lots of ways. Friday's for me have been dance classes with my wife followed by dinner and a bit more dancing. This has been the best time we've spent together for ages. We started with Tango and now we are looking at the other styles.

Give it a go and I think Rio Rhythmics is an excellent and friendly place to start

Rio Rhythmics has the perfect atmosphere which is friendly and appropriate for someone who is just looking to dance in a safe and loving environment. Everyone is extremely helpful and just want to build the supportive community for dancers to fall back on. I recommend this place for people who love to dance and nothing more.
