So I found this store when I needed to buy a present and went in so many times before finally buying. The man who served me was nice and helpful especially for a total noob like me, who asked like a million questions (and didn't even buy). He didn't make me feel silly for not knowing anything even when I wasn't even sure if I should buy a pen as a present. I don't normally bother writing reviews but it was seriously always a good experience every single time I go there. So glad too that I finally made the decision and got the pen before the lockdown: D

I went to this shop on a work trip, the guy was rude, hardly gave me the time of day. Wasn't helpful. I left feeling rather put off by the whole experience. It was one of my first times in a physical pen shop, don't get any in my area. And here's this guy acting very superior and like I couldn't afford or shouldn't be there. Ridiculous given that I've been into and using fountain pens for years and have a very expensive collection. I missed out on trying some new pens, went away with a ballpoint for my Dad and even then I wish I hadn't bought it here given the experience!

Impressive range, and wonderful customer service. Answered all my questions without pretense, and made excellent value based reccomendations.

I emailed through a Query on a Saturday expecting I would not receive a reply until Monday at the Earliest and much to my Suprise they emailed back with an answer to my Query within minutes. Great customer support!

Just called past this afternoon. Great customer service. My wife is an artist and wanted to visit, ended up getting a pen for myself also.

Will visit again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great customer experience.

Stumbled across this store on a stay in Brisbane city. Hubby purchased some amazing pens and pencils for me as a gift. Salesman was very knowledgeable in all products.

Bought my LAMY 2000 here. Mal is brilliant in every aspect as shopkeeper. He will answer every question, however trivial they may be, with great patience while maintaining professionalism. I will be back for sure.

This store, although a little out of the 'main' part of the city is well worth going to. I have been to some other pen stores like this and have found them somewhat 'selective' of who and how they treat their customers. This store they listen, know what they are talking about and don't try and get you to buy the most expensive thing! I went in and picked up a converter and ink and had a lovely chat about pens that they didn't even stock. Just go there!

Would recommend this place to anyone who wants great customer service and staff with indepth knowledge.

Today, I went in to the shop looking to upgrade my fountain pen which I bought from this store. The staff guided me through the process, carefully explaining every pen they showcased and helping me understand the benefits of each one. They even constantly brought out pens to practice and demo the pen to make sure I get a feel of the pen.

I was there in the shop for a while and I still didn't buy anything, yet the staff were still happy to serve me.

I will buy all my future pens from here.

This morning I had the pleasure of being looked after by Elsbeth in the Brisbane store. I did initially contact another “pen” store in the CBD-this was not a positive experience.

From the initial contact by telephone-to when I drove into see her (1.5 hour drive) I was treated with respect, and guided in my multi pen purchase by Elsbeth.
Her product knowledge is truly impressive, and rather than feeling like I was being “sold to” I was taken on a journey of the storied history of the Marqe’s that reside in the beautifully presented showcases.
I can truly say that it was an enjoyable half hour-with me walking out with two fantastic writing instruments, genuinely happy with the transaction.
I will be back.

Also, as someone who drives trucks for a living, who turned up wearing hi vis, I was still treated with utmost respect-as this certainly was not the case when I initially contacted the other store, who did not get my business.
To embark upon a journey of fine pens, their history, and a magnificent selection of what is currently on offer, you now know where to go.

Why have a web site and not use it. It is there for a reason - people can see what you sell, what you don’t sell, hours and the list goes on. If you are going to close for a day to have new carpet laid, that is the sort of thing you put on your web site. It shows poor management and a disregard for customers - I’ll take my money else where.

Came in without much knowledge regarding pens or what I was looking for, however, the staff treated me well and provided me a great service. Definitely the best pen store in Brisbane.
