Thumbs up for kizomba and bachata, epecially when the bachata is Dominican style (and they are really good at it). Instructors that are able to make me grasp the essence of the dance in just one session are pretty rare, And they are able to do just that.

Fun, social cuban salsa in Byron Bay - just the way I like it! Love these guys and their teaching style. Monday night is my favourite night of the week!

Been to too many other dance Classes on the Gold Coast, Clement and Jo are really amazing teachers and make you feel very comfortable when you're in class. I personally really loved it. The more important the environment is friendly and make you feel we can all achieve in dancing.
Thank you for bringing it to the Gold Coast. Novelty is always good for creativity.

Ok, so. I'm a guy. I'm a 45 year old guy who thinks that being able to dance is better than standing around watching everyone else have fun. I kinda thought that all dance schools were more/less equal. You know, you follow along, learn some new moves every week and that's about it. Well dance schools aren't all the same.this is my experience.

If you want to make new friends and have a hell of a lot of fun, then come to a dance class. It'll change your life, my friend. No, scratch that.it'll blow your mind.

Ok, here's the deal:

Clement & JoJo are GREAT TEACHERS, like REALLY GREAT TEACHERS. And on top of that, they are always smiling even when I'm mucking up, patient even when I'm stuffing up.

Secondly (and in no apparent order), they are AWESOME PEOPLE. I like them as individuals, Clement has this (for lack of a better phrase) 'hard-to-understand-french-accent-thingy'. As an Aussie it took me weeks to comprehend what the hell he was saying. Lucky I can just watch him and pretty much just follow him around. JoJo is great at translating what Clement is saying and shaking her 'Bunda' (Aussies call that a 'bum') - she is also good to follow around ;-) Having a guy teacher and a gal teacher works so well.because the class is made up of guys and gals = Duh!

Next up! They are FUN. Dunno what else to say.so I'll paint a picture for you: On arriving at class everyone knows everyone, we greet with a smile, wave and a hand-shake or hug depending on how well we know each other and if they are freshly showered. If you are new and it's your first time we'll come up to you and say "Hi". Clement & JoJo will demonstrate what we will learn tonight as the rest of us stare boggle-eyed and confused while our brains melt. There's a whole lot of stuff that happens next which involves tripping up, stepping on feet, whacking body parts that are as awkward as they are funny. Magically we get to the end of the lesson and are able to perform and record a facebook worthy video. The videos don't always go on facebook but they could.

Ok let's move on to LOOKS! Clement has a cool man-bun and a tan to die for, he usually wears singlets and his arms inspire me to do more push-ups. JoJo is cute as a button, has that olive skin that everyone wants, always wears a smile that stretches from ear to ear and has really good hair.

PERFORMANCE: Like I said before, if you want to dance, then these guys are are totally gonna rock your world. The way they teach each move so exactly and precisely has transformed me. I mean I can go out social dancing and remember the 'moves' which makes for even more smiles.

QUALITY: Unlike other dance schools that I've been to, I leave this one better than when I arrived. Not only am I a better dancer, but they've got some sort of super-calm that, I'm fairly certain sucks the stress outta my life. I've yet to learn all of their secrets and I can honestly say that they are going to make me a fantastic dancer.

In summary:

These guys are FUN.

These guys are GREAT TEACHERS.

These guys LOOK GOOD.

These guys will totally TRANSFORM your DANCING.

If you've read this whole review, then you're probably gonna come to the next lesson. And you should.
