Karma Muay Thai

Karma is a great gym! I have just started the boxing classes here over the past few months and highly recommend to anyone looking to get started with boxing, or to sharpen up their skills. The team are super friendly, have great experience and are patient, which makes it an awesome place to learn the skills!

Incredible gym with the most supportive trainers and members of any gym I have gone to. From first session, to first fight everyone goes out of their way to ensure the gym is a happy environment that welcomes all levels, and encourages learning. Karma is a gym without ego, making it easier for beginners who may be intimidated to get involved and feel comfortable.

Marty and his team have created one epic sanctuary and I am proud my girls and I are a part of the Karma Community. Everyone at Karma shows up and gives max effort, there’s so much encouragement, respect, support and constructive feedback to improve your MT technique and skills. You gain self-confidence and discipline on a whole new level and reach heights you never thought would be possible in terms of performance. This culture wouldn’t be achievable without the passion, effort and care given by Marty and his trainers.

Wonderful welcoming gym, I highly recommend Karma to everyone/anyone. From the moment you walk in you feel like your surrounded by old friends. My children have learnt so much about themselves inside and outside the ring. Marty and the trainers have built an amazing community. I can honestly say my children’s confidence has improved immensely since joining the Karma family

The atmosphere and family environment cultivated by Martin is unparalleled to any other Thai gym out there. Hey truely cares about his members and fighters and goes above and beyond to ensure they receive what is necessary to fit their training goals.

I've been largely out of training (another system) for about 6 years due to family and business commitments, and looked around for a while to find an authentic Muay Thai Kickboxing gym not too far away as wanted to do it for a long time. Of the options, Karma Kickboxing stood out from the rest.

Without rambling on, I've done a few training sessions, and can categorically say their claim that it's a "friendly environment" and that it's "free of judgements and negative opinions" is 100% true. Hoogey and Kyle are fantastic instructors, know their stuff really well, and run really great classes.

I would say though, if you're a complete beginner I'd recommend getting separate instruction on basic techniques first – talk to the trainers and book a time. I've had years of training in a couple of other systems and know my strikes pretty well, but some of the combos and advanced techniques do stretch me quite a bit. Which is a good thing, right? But a novice in the general classes might struggle a little, so a quick chat to the trainers would be advised before jumping in.

As for me, I'm loving it, and just looking forward to my fitness to come back while enjoying a high-level of instruction to hone my existing skills while learning some new ones (like the "Superman Elbow" today ;p).

All-in-all, highly recommended in every way.

Hands down one of the best places I’ve trained at - from the trainer to the students I can’t fault Karma. Great place to bring my kids to train too.

Martin puts in true effort with all people fighter or not. The dedication and time he puts into the gym daily to make everyone get one step closer to there goal is certainly recognisable. An epic Muay Thai workout with friendly people at an amazing place. You wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I'm only just a beginner but I've learnt so much there already, can't wait to learn more. 10/10.
