My youngest daughter joined here about 15 months ago, and I was so impressed with the culture of the place and the confidence she got that I enrolled my older daughter - and then I signed up too! In my first three months I’ve had a blast, lost weight and improved my fitness enormously. It’s been so nice to feel fit and healthy again! Just as importantly, it’s a lovely community, where everyone is very welcoming and supportive.

I love this gym and the people in there with all my heart. From the time I step my foot in the gym and I get to see the lovely Vikki until iam on the mats with professor Gui and all the coaches.
I grew up in Brazil and heard my whole life about BJJ and how the sport can change your life in a way you cant imagine, that when you are part of a gym they should be like your second family.
I have tried some other gyms and I never thought I could find a place like I was told my whole childhood that existed until i found GB surfers paradise.
This gym is a true BJJ environment that wants to see you grow and also comes along with a lot of friendship and family background. They are amazing people that take care of the place as if it is there own house with their own family members. I have never felt so welcomed in a gym in my life before and I am truly thankful to the universe to have let me come across this path and finally have found my place. I love every single person from this place. They fulfil my heart.

I've been training with Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise since July last year and have loved the experience so far. Professor Gui and all the coaches here provide quality training and helped me grow tremendously as a student and a competitor.

I cannot recommend Brazilian Jui Jitsu enough. It’s really something you need to experience to truly understand. BJJ is now part of my life and I need to thank a Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise for that. Professor Gui has really transformed this gym into a place where anyone is welcome. His passion is truly inspiring, watching him cheer on his students and supporting them to success is the reason why so many of us come back.

As a member for just over two months now and after initial hesitation to do a free trial. I was immediately addicted. The atmosphere is very friendly oriented all members are understanding and not judgemental the more experienced members go out of their way to help new members. I joined Gracie Barra Surfers Paridise for mental health and fitness. Professor Gui and Coach Chato are very humble making the Gracie Barra training experience both fun relaxing and an excellent learning environment. Recently joined the academy 3 months ago after moving from Melbourne. I found the curriculum quite comprehensive and easy step by step guidance and constant skill based practical work from the professor and coaching staff. Absolutely love the facilities and the additional barra fit and personal coaching classes. As far as the students I find the academy one big family always helping each other improve and sharpen skills all white constantly looking out for one another. I tried a few gyms when I first moved to the gold coast but I found the facilities first class and the trainers world class. Thank you Gracie Barra Gold Coast for welcoming me into your academy but also your family. OSS.

My oldest son is the very first student at Gracie Barra Surfers Paradise, we have been there since day one (as we were already fans of Gracie Barra program from overseas and NSW). So its been 5 years in the Gracie Barra family so far, and it is the best jiu jitsu you can offer to your kids. They learn through fun and discipline. I've been through all the administrations within this academy, and i have to say this new administration is the best one, they now have a big group of students in all ages! If you are looking for a great leadership and to learn great techniques here is the place!

Gracie Barra surfers paradise has an amazing atmosphere to train in. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The professor is very knowledgeable and able to pass on key details and techniques to students from his own experiences in competition and in training with world class black belts. The kids program is just as great as the adults program. The head kids coach does an amazing job conveying the techniques in a way that kids and teens can understand as well as making the class fun and enjoyable for them. There is a focus on developing character and being a good person as well as getting better at jiu jitsu which I appreciate. The lessons I’ve learned and continue to learn while being a part of this gym are invaluable. I love the GBSP fam ️

From the moment you walk in - you’re treated like family.

I had selected a few BJJ academies to do trials at, but GBSP was the first one I went to, and once the class started I knew I wasn’t going anywhere else. Professor Gui teaches great techniques, professionally and conceptually but also makes it real fun. Classmates are always willing to help coach you, everyone has the mentality that we’re all here for each other. Truly, there is no ego here.

The timetable is also quite extensive, meaning this place has everything you could want in a BJJ academy.
