Goodlife Health Clubs 24/7 reviews
56If you're looking for variety this is the place to go. Loads of machines, a free weight area downstairs and weights area upstairs, cycle room and group fitness room with reformer pilates coming soon. Childminding is amazing. Parking is really bad during peak times so allow time for that. Instructors are super friendly and motivating.
Overall good gym. Please sort out the mould issue on the air-conditioning system - very unhygienic and unhealthy to be breathing this air! Additionally, equipment with cracked leather pads need to be fixed as uncomfortable and some borderline unusable (i.e. Leg raises/chin up machine upstairs)
Great gym and great atmosphere. All though as a member for over a year now. I like to say you guys are a bit slack with letting your members know that gym has temporary due to covid19 or for what ever reason. A simple email to all members would go a long way rather than me walking 2.5kms in the rain all to find out via a note on the door saying your gym is temporarily closed. Btw this is not just the first this has happened either.
Thanks
Mitch
Amazing experience with these guys, sad to move gym, but it’s an unfortunate move I have to make due to moving to a suburb that doesn’t have a goodlife.
Great customer service, great trainers, amazingly clean and new facilities. Would 100% recommend their personal trainer program (even if it’s just the kickstart one).
Lucinda was particularly helpful in helping me cancel my membership, no muss no fuss. Will definitely come back if they open one near my new place. Thanks Lucinda & the Goodlife team!
Informed personal trainers, I feel welcome and accepted by the friendly staff. Staff are easy to approach, very helpful when helping you, assisting with your GoodLife fitness journey.
Would not ever sign up here again. Was told that when I joined my contract would have no cancellation fees and now when I’m wanting to cancel they are trying to make me pay $345 to leave or continue for 36 more payments.
The lady that signed me up told me she would be adding in to my contract that I would have no cancellation fees and now they are trying to say I’m a liar.
DO NOT SIGN UP. DO NOT GO ON A CONTRACT.
Facilities are good but the class selection outside of work hours as dwindled since COVID and its become almost impossible to get into low impact classes like balance, yoga, Barre etc.
I've been a member for 18 months which is the minimum amount of time I can get out my contract without paying a fee. They are trying to tell me that they added an extra 11 weeks due to Covid closure which means I will have to pay $195 cancellation fee
Poor experience. Was billed inconsistently and was hardly well greater upon arrival. Friends of mine have reported poor experiences with male trainers. Do not recommend
Excellent gym very friendly staff modern well serviced equipment and a wide range of personal trainers. This Gym creates a great experience for members.well for me anyway. Well done Good Life Ashgrove.
A really nice gym with very good facilities, heaps of space and modern equipment. They are a two story gym with lot equipment upstairs and down, they have a lot of machines and free weights as well as squat racks and benches. They have rooms up stairs for normal classes and virtual classes. The staff are always friendly and helpful and other members are as well, this gym can be very busy at some time. It's not the cheapest gym but you are paying for a lot of services like classes and all the shipment so if that's somthing you want it's worth it.
Getting a bit out of shape, so thought I'd go.
Place has been majorly updated.
Went to a boxing and pump class, both were very professional, and awesome fun, although I did feel quite sore after these.haha.
Got a great training session with trainer, looking forward to getting back.
Nice gym, but some personal trainers give advice that goes far beyond what they are qualified to give. I honestly really wanted to tell the first personal trainer that giving nutritional advice without certified nutritional background is illegal. Then there were workshops as well with people who were underqualified to give the advice with the pretence of being an informal information session.
This is a great gym, it’s my daily! Specially since the upgrade however I would have loved it if it also had a sauna or steam room like many other gyms!
Have worked at, and worked out at this gym for many years in all of it's forms. On top of being a premium club, offering great equipment and facilities, the feel of the place has always been so cozy. Over the years I've continued to hear the same comment being made by the members; "everyone here is so nice and friendly". It's a great family-friendly, community club in the heart of Ashgrove.
Emailed 3 times regarding a police fraud case against a member of staff that signed me up to their gym. Emails ignored. Sent me to the debt collector.
This place is too big, too crowded, too hustle bustle. If you choose to not go between the hours of 11pm and 4 am finding a free machine, scrap of floor or car park is like winning the lottery. Goodlife's goal is profit maximization through jamming people in and taking up space with paid activities. I'm not a hater I'm still a member (on a super cheap deal), but you need to be aware of the drawbacks of a mega club.
Equipment and gym is good but wouldn’t sign up here purely because of parking. Especially if you intend to go to gym classes which are in mornings/afternoons. Would get there 20mins early just to park and still get told class is full - girl at desk told me to park at nearby shopping centre and walk over.they really need to sort the parking out because it’s a joke.
Les Hooper is not LGBTIQ+ friendly and has posted gross comments on social media. Unfortunately the backwards git is also not very intelligent and has his place of employment (this gym) listed on his FB page. If you support equality, or are LGBTIQ identifying, avoid this gym.
Charges you 10$ when you miss a single payment (due to blocked card etc)
Not even a chance to update details.
I call that ripping people off.plain and simple
