James and his team are very patient and break things down to a level that makes salsa easy to learn, even with 2 left feet.

Dance Culture is so much fun. If you are after good dance classes, nice people, fun and laughter, this is the place for you.

Friendly staff and everyone in the class was great! We even learned a move that James dubbed "creepy" but we all just laughed about it.

Can’t believe I made it to the end of Jai’s class! 4 classes back to back, but it was so good! Love Monday nights salsa and samba with Madalyn & Jai

James is an outstanding and professional teacher who has a knack for breaking down components of dance in a clear and well instructed way. First class academy.

I was no nervous at the beginning of my introduction course. Never before had any experience with dancing, didn't think i could dance at all.
I absolutely loved it and had so much fun. After the 4 week course i felt like i wasn't getting nervous and had the confidence in myself to be able to keep dancing.

There is a wonderful, contagious ambiance within Dance Culture. It is lead by James who ensures with his funny, enthusiastic way of teaching that everyone, disregarding one's level, can follow and learn. Even though I was only here for an exchange couple months it is totally worth is, great way to meet new people who soon turned friends. Would definitely recommend!

Such a welcoming environment, even if you have two left feet and no idea what you're doing! Always having lots of laughs and I am amazed at how much I have learnt. James and all the other instructors are wonderful!

Love love love!
Such a great atmosphere with lovely people that now I am lucky enough to call friends. James is an amazing instructor with impeccable teaching technique. He patiently does step by step and makes sure everyone is on the same page. If even I am learning how to dance, that means he is actually really good.
I never thought I'd enjoy dancing so much! Thank you dance culture for the fabulous experience.

I love Dance Culture! The atmosphere is electric and I have gained so many friends in the past 10 months. James is a fantastic teacher and employs some of the top dancers in the country to teach at DC. We are so lucky to have a teacher who invests in our dance journeys so much. Latin dancing and DC have totally changed my life. I would recommend Dance Culture to anyone!

I stared back to Salsa dance last year in May. I didn’t expected of what I have achieved in just a year! The founder of Dance Culture James Quinn-Hawtin is the best Salsa teacher I have ever met. I have been to different salsa classes in Brisbane and did realize that knowing how to dance does not equal to knowing how to teach. I would not reach where I am now without his help and training. Strongly recommend the school and his classes, definitely worth trying if you are interested in Latin dance and want to be taught the right things at the first place.

I've been learning bachata and salsa with Dance Culture for nearly a year now, and what can I say? If I wasn't loving it, I wouldn't still be doing it!

I'm quite uncooridinated, and never thought I'd be able to dance, but with great teachers and a supportive group of dancers, I've come much further than I ever thought I would.

No partner? No worries! Just give it a go!

I've been with Dance Culture for more than a year now, and it's been a great pleasure and a fun challenge. Incredibly good and supportive teachers, a really positive environment and a great deal of respect all make this school the best in Brisbane

If you think you need to bring a partner, you don't.
If you think you'll feel awkward, you won't.
If you think you'll get left behind, you wont.
If you think you can't do it, you can.
If you think you could give it a go, you should.
It's the most fun you'll have with your clothes on.

I dance because it makes me happy, and I can dance anywhere, but I keep coming back each week because of James and the other students. Having danced at other studios in the past, I have found James' teaching style to be excellent and he clearly has a passion for what he does. James makes learning fun and the syllabus is excellent and progressive. I look forward to the classes each week and highly recommend Dance Culture to anyone who wants to learn how to dance Salsa and Zouk.

Have been attending their salsa course for nearly 4 months now, really enjoyed the way they teach and motive me as a beginner. The dance floor is super clean and comfy. With the humorous teaching style, I felt learning is so enjoyable. I have to say that the time and money are well invested in this adventure!

James at Dance Culture has a brilliant teaching style. I never considered myself naturally rhythmic or have any natural talent for dancing but from the first lesson he made everything so easy to grasp. It's dancing made simple. The progressive syllabus he follows means you can progress up the levels with the proper understanding on the fundamentals and underlying moves beneath the more flashy moves.

James and the team at Dance Culture are honestly the nicest bunch. Their humour, technical knowledge and encouragement make learning Latin dancing so much fun, and they really take the time to help everyone individually. I would highly recommend this school to anyone in Bris who's always wanted to try dancing but was intimidated!
