Daintree Village Hotel and General Store

Fantastic lunch, the food was quick to come out and all staff so very friendly. Great atmosphere and glad we made the choice to have lunch. Highly recommend.

My meal here was a highlight of our 5 day trip to Port Douglas. We just popped in for an ice-cream and I decided to try the Croc Skewers! These were amazing! Staff were friendly. What a lovely little village. We will be back for a visit again!

Definitely worth a visit. Humble exterior but seriously good food. Really recommend trying the kangaroo skewer

This place is far better than it needs to be. Food is cooked incredibly well, the service is friendly, everything is well priced. It has no competition. But they still care and do a great job.

Delicious food and big variety to choose from. Big portions and good prices. The croc skewer was mind blowing since we got there right after our croc spotting river cruise. Also had some short rib, which was lovely and very juicy!

Amazing food and excellent service! Had the chicken Parma and it was huge and so delicious! The quality of food is great - the chefs do a great job! Perfect place to grab a bite to eat after a croc cruise:)

Ordered a garlic bread for starter, and a Meatlovers and Supreme pizza for our meals. The Garlic Bread came 2 minutes before they brought out a Supreme (minus the mushrooms listed on the menu), and a BBQ Chicken pizza which we hadn't ordered. I advised them of the incorrect pizza and they told us they would rectify their mistake. A few mins later they brought out THE SAME BBQ chicken pizza with some bacon and ham tossed on top and told us it was a BBQ Meatlovers. Now, if they had asked me if I minded if they did this to save wasted food I would have agreed, but they didn't. It's an insult to my intelligence to think I wouldn't notice. The BBQ Chicken pizza is cheaper than the Meatlovers too! THIS IS REALLY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's such a shame as I would have given a good review if they had not lied to me.

Great little place, I highly recommend a stop. Good food, nice staff and all round welcoming atmosphere.

Just to be somewhere different.cold beer and good pub food. The burger was huge and very tasty, I couldn't finish it. Staff are lovely and friendly, had time for a chat when they're not busy. Saturday night steak night is looking like needing me to come back. OK then. I will.

What an awesome pub ️ been calling in here for years and went here for my birthday back in January. The staff, locals and food were awesome! Went for a late lunch and stayed for hours.the new manager (I forget her name) was very welcoming and friendly. Can't recommend enough and will definitely be back. Hope you are ready for us

Brilliant pub. Dog friendly, awesome staff, good price for happy hour, great meals, beautiful scenery.

Great lunch. Finally found a place up this way that will do a veggie burger! (In fact they have two different vegetarian burgers on the menu!) Very affordable, great setting, lots of locals. Staff are friendly and attentive. Absolutely recommend.

What a gorgeous little oasis in the middle of a beautiful town in the Daintree. Nice wide seating area and not crammed in. Clean tables and a lovely green outlook. Staff were very friendly and dealt with a tour bus inundation very well. We had some fresh and crispy cold wraps as well as a burger that was custom made with chips.

One of the best pubs for food, drinks and service and very affordable for drinks and food. Will be returning for sure

Such a damn good meal!
After a day exploring the area we ended up in the Daintree Village, and in need of lunch we went where everyone else was.
The hotel is spacious, clean and busy!
The number of people here when we arrived was a good sign.
We took a seat outside and shortly after, our food arrived, for the number of people here our food was ready very quickly.
The beef burger was cooked wonderfully and the overall burger was great. The sides and kids meals we ordered were just as delicious.
Just a great hotel in North Queensland.

Excellent pub - the fish and chips was delicious, as was the barramundi. Parma was also excellent and the service was perfect!

Have eaten here before and it was a great experience.

This time however my family were met by an angry faced woman with no manners. Enough for us to leave. Try the teahouse on the Daintree for a non commercial tranquil experience.

Stopped in here for a tap beer and some hot chips on the last day of out holiday! Glad we stopped, very friendly staff, cold beer.local lager has an amazing taste.bloody perfect chips and an amazing view

Small town pub at the end of the road, literally. Food was terrific (local farmed barra on a burger) and the "small" chips could have fed 4. Washed down with an icy cold beer. The young bloke behind the till is a credit to the business!

It's important to note this is a small country pub more geared towards local people. Don't expect a silver service experience. The w@nkers in other reviews whining about not getting water brought to their table like this is a full service restaurant need a reality check as to where they are. This is remote QLD, not Melbourne. HTFU. Support local small businesses like this one, who have done it tough.
