Cineplex South Bank reviews
78This is the was the cheapest movie theater I have ever been to.we hot two tickets for 17 bucks, and then it was only eleven for two massive drinks and a big popcorn. 30 all up for the whole visit, worked out to be a pretty cheap date. 10 out of 10 would again.would only give the movie malignant 3 of 5 though.sort of came together in the end, I guess it's just that style of movie?
Always a good price here and for the long James Bond movie they even extended our parking which was great
Wonderful customer service by young man who delightfully and artistically made our popcorn who delivered it to is with enthusiasm.
Went there for my partner birthday. Since covid there no long staff for customer to purchase tickets forcing customer to download a app just to buy a ticket. Very cheap readable pricing for ticket and food. Wasn't the cleanist cinema and the one we happen to go into had a other movie list at the top spoil one my big surprise I had plan for his birthday. Unfortunately we did have see other movie to what we had plan but it was fun and enjoyable. Sad to see the cafe was closed to due to covid they had such great chips.
Perfect location. Seats are clean and comfortable for avarage size people but you will struggle while moving between row if you're slightly oversized as there is very narrow spaces between seat rows.
Snacks and drinks are overpriced (that is common in cinema hall).
Overall it was great experience.
I like Cineplex for value, so I don't mind travelling a bit further to them. The big screen cinema 5 is always nice at South Bank, 2 chairs in the middle need attention for comfort, but simple to move along. Great fun seeing Bond, this time. The staff were so nice.
Good cinemas with that massive IMAX screen that they have for the movie of the month. Place can get a bit busy and a bit confusing with what parking is available.
Good value though as they are part of the cineplex family and don't charge stupid prices like event cinemas.
Clean cinema.massive screen.booked online.straightforward pick up.parking 4hrs just have to validate when leaving.great experience
Cinema 5 at Southbank cineplex is the biggest screen in Brisbane. The old Imax screen. Amazing picture, amazing sound, great prices. Adults $9.
Pricing is great and free parking but the seats are uncomfortable after sitting through a whole movie
Went here just yesterday night and the tickets are still cheap which is good for the budget ($8.50 for adult) They still have no seat allocations but there was hardly anyone at the last showing so it was easy to find seating. I love watching movies at their Cinema 5 which is the biggest screen there!
Friendly staff and excellent service.
Cinemas have a cool chill to relax in on a hot day. Yummy pop corn ️
My go to cinema, well priced movies and well priced snack bar. Not a ripoff like event, plus you can walk around Southbank while you wait for your movie to start. Only down side is the parking can be limited if you go on a busy day
Dirty
Uncomfortable seats and the sound wasn't loud enough to drown out anyone in the "audience" speaking.
I have a lot of good memories at this cinema. Great value and good screens. Perfect date night fodder.
They sell tickets at affordable prices to really clean and comfortable cinemas as well as providing amazing customer service
Great movie place, Cineplex, 5 screens, 1 of them very big, their very fair pricing of the ticket prices, Free Parking,
Went & saw Wrong Turn & it was awesome. I did have to leave the movies half way through because my back was aching from the chair.
Pricing is brilliant, for tickets and food.
It's a shame we have to go back Village and Hoyts in Melbourne and get ripped off
Cheapest cinema in Brisbane. Family of 2 adults and 3 kids cost us $33.50 (other suburban cinemas offered the same deal for $80). The cinema has its own underground parking which is free for the first 4 hours (as long as you buy a ticket and see the movie "in its entirety"). Highly recommended.
