Mates took me for my bucks party, it was awesome, get towed up by a plane and then glide down, you get a go of controlling it, they are very responsive and I would recommend asking to do a dive, that's when you know you are flying! Super safe no experience required, a great day out. Highly recommend giving it a go.

I took my mum Hang gliding for her 60th birthday, we both absolutely loved it. Lisa runs the safest operation around. We got an awesome view of the range and the Gold Coast and got to do some fun acrobatics. 10/10 experience

We had an amazing experience hang-gliding in Gold Coast hinterland last weekend! Lisa is very professional, experienced, and passionate about flying. I felt very safe during the tandem flight. Hang-gliding is very exciting, it makes you feel free like a bird! Highly recommended

The team at Oz Paragliding and Hang Gliding are amazing, special shout-out to Lisa. Due to circumstances out of everyone's control, when I contacted Lisa, her empathy and consideration were simply wonderful. I can't thank you enough for your kind words and understanding at an extremely personal and emotional time. Hopefully when things are a little different we will be able to get our there to see you:) Thanks for everything Lisa!

The paragliding was such an amazing experience with unbelievable views and I felt super safe the whole time. I also stayed here for a couple of nights which was a great base for exploring the region. Lisa and her crew were awesome.

At age 62, and not having flown a hang glider since 1984, I wondered if after 36 years absence and some physical decline, whether or not I could still get back into the pure joy of free flying.

I tentatively put out a feeler to Lisa Bradley, CFI (Chief Flying Instructor) of ‘Oz Paragliding & Hang Gliding School’ at the Oz Sky Ranch in Canungra. Lisa was a super encouraging and an absolute bundle of high energy, her passion for both teaching and free flight immediately convinced me I still had it in me, and I could do it!

I decided to take the option to live on site at the Sky Ranch for the duration of the course, this was a great decision, allowing me to meet and bond with fellow budding pilots, sharing our learning experience and supporting each other through each of the learning stages.

Our course was a multi discipline course with both hang glider and paraglider students. It was a great to learn about each other’s discipline and understand the limitations of each other’s glider types, given that we would be flying together sharing the same airspace.

As a group of budding pilots (both hangies and paras), we developed a great team spirit over the coming days as we steadily progressed from the early training slopes to the mid slopes and finally to the high flights off Mt Tamborine.

The para students were awesome with their support, helping carry hang gliders back up the slope, taking our pack up gear down to the landing field in their back packs, and even whipper snipping an overgrown launch site for us! Likewise, grateful hangies tried to reciprocate and show support wherever we could.

The training days were often long and at times frustrating, mother nature does not follow a timetable! We learned to be flexible, with both our schedules and our mindset. When the weather was off, we studied theory, when it was on, we hit the training slopes.

As quickly as the course began, we were nearing the end, and the excitement of the prospect of our first high flights off Mt Tamborine was palpable. The excitement and anticipation grew even further as we visited both the launch and landing sites doing physical inspections of the areas, getting familiar with all we needed to know for our first high flights.

Finally, the day for our first high flights came, the westerly winds were good for ‘Tambo’ (Mt Tambourine). Bracing ourselves to the early morning chill we ascended the mountain and started preparing our gear, everyone going through their well-practiced set up and safety inspection routines that Lisa had repeatedly drummed into us.

With everyone hooked by on UHF radios, Lisa at the landing site and Walt guiding us off the launch site, we one by one made our maiden high flights. The paras got off first and then the hangies, the mixture of apprehension and excitement was intoxicating, but nothing could compare to the feeling of suddenly becoming airborne and gliding like a bird.

We flew again and again over two days, as many flights as we could squeeze into a day whilst the conditions were right. Progressively, Lisa gave us more independence allowing us to make our own decisions in flight and gain that crucial confidence required for solo flying. At the end of the last day, I was both exhausted and elated, staying on an adrenaline high for many hours after, as did all the students, as we shared our stories and excitement.

Had a great time refreshing my PG2 license at Oz Paraglding. Lisa and her parents were extremely accomodating and the instruction and guidance was excellent. I got some great flights in at Mt Tamborine at the end of it and highly reccomend the school. Thanks again Lisa

Lisa and her team are absolute professionals. They create a calm atmosphere to learn in which is vital in stressful situations.
My group had a variety of age groups and learning needs and everyone was able to learn at their own pace, with the course tailored to their individual needs.
The course itself was lots of fun with a lot of laughs and I have made some lifelong friends.
I highly recommend, it was a 10 out of 10 experience for me.

Yesterday I had the absolute best start to my day. A tandem hang glide with Lisa from Oz Paragliding and Hang Gliding.
The whole team were professional, friendly and customer focused.
The only downside of my morning was that it had to end.
The weather was picture perfect, the experience was just awesome. I was like soaring with the eagles.
I will be returning, perhaps even as a student, so that I can learn this awesome sport for myself.

Lisa and her team are great at teaching step by step from 'no idea' to 'safe pilot'. There were a series of students present at different stages. They offer a safe and fun adventure where, if you follow the plan it just feels 'natural' to try the next step! Shout out to her team also especially Joshua and Dan. Thanks guys! They also have onsite accommodation to make a holiday of doing a course or getting to the 'next skill level'.

The Sky Ranch is a great to place to get away from it all. It has a massive dam, attracting Pelicans, cormorants and other aquatic life. There is a Gumtree lined creek that meanders through the property with thousands of cockatoos, corollas, galahs, lorikeets etc. And then there's the chilled verandah and the huge, clean kitchen. The rooms are spotless with a queens sized bed, aircon and ensuite. Lovely place and so close to many other day trippable things to see
