What ever projects you have this place has not let me down. There are 3 in Townsville so if you can't find what you are looking for you are looking in the wrong place.

Useless! Rang to confirm item was in stock and was advised yes we have two. Immediately placed an order for that item via click and collect, one hour later email received saying we actually do t have any in stock. Just another another useless big box company that forced out the competition to corner the market and provide dismal customer service.

My partner and I attended the paint section yesterday, where we were assisted by a lovely young man Ryan. His customer service was spectacular. We went in with no idea what we needed to paint out baby’s nursery but Ryan showed us the way! Thankyou Ryan:)

I just love Bunnings. We bought a new planter and a bird bath for our backyard magpies, Wendy and Roger, they love it.

Staff were rude, and unhelpful. Waited 25 minutes at the cut shop after being rudely directed there. Only to be told by the man when he finally showed up that they are only able to cut the wood vertically and not horizontally. Which is ridiculous as the item I was wanting cut had no grain and was no longer than a metre in length, so could have just been turned. I’m frustrated and annoyed.

Get everything here. Big parking area. Reasonable price. They place pot, timber inside building. That's good, you won't get hot.

Every person I asked for help was rude and short with me, as if I was wasting their time.
Low on stock for a lot of things, but understandable given the current times and issues with transport and logistics.
Terrible car park - a nightmare to get in and out of spots due to traffic and the sizing.
All round average experience.

All the staff were incredibly helpful and even though they had lost eftpos capabilities it didn't deter them when it came to offering excellent customer service.

Have found all interactions with staff has been positive. Staff have been obliging, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. And staff will find someone knowledgeable to help you out if they are stuck. However, I do find some customers "pushing their luck" a bit when it comes to the expectations/perceptions of service. Staff are there to help not be abused.

Huge shout out to Bek Price for outstanding customer service, I can’t thank you enough for helping me (twice now) with my faulty whipper Snipper.

Pretty much perfect, but investing in a new carpark would be my first suggestion, making the road through flow better than stop start right angles and carparks, definitely some roller speed bumps to slow. I'm happy to park way off near the greenhouse so I'm less fearful of rushed parking dings and bumps or playing chicken with the traffic. There shouldn't be any parks off of the main thoroughfare.

This was the first Bunnings in Townsville. Only little issue is this whole centre get's very busy and parking/access can be a bit full on sometimes.

I attended the paint dept last week at Bunnings Townsville. The service was terrible. When i finally found a person to help she was reluctant and it made me feel i had interupted her from stacking a shelf.

I absolutely love Bunnings, I could spend all day in there, just walking around and looking at everything, especially the plant section.
They have such a wonderful variety of everything. Definitely my favourite store.

The younger staff at this Bunnings are great, helpful go out of their way to find solutions. The older staff, women, treat other women like the plague or somehow mentally deficient. It is tiresome - and sooo last century. And offensive. AND COSTS SALES. Especially today at 2.30pm the woman handling tools area. So rude I had to walk out.

Gender issues training required for the older women at this Bunnings. Or does Bunnings only want customers who are men? Thats half the population. Oh, I am a woman.

Great place for home and garden essentials. The only gripe is the carpark at this Bunnings. It can be very chaotic sometimes finding a park here

Allow me to add a further review to the debacle that is "customer service" at Bunnings.

Today I venture to Bunnings to look for a ew kitchen mixer tap and laundry tap. Heaven forbid that one should ask for help.
I approach the trade counter amongst the kitchen displays. The two staff as I approach commence a discussion with another staff member about the recently absent person manning the paint counter. I stand by for a moment and allow them to finish their conversation about how the departure of this person is an inconvenience to them. As they wrap up the conversation I politely ask, "may I please have some help with the tapware". The response, and I was absolutely astounded. "what do you want? ! " Well, I'd actually like to know if you stock a product which is displayed, or do I need to do a special order. I tried to open the panels where the taps are displayed, but didn't want to force them and do damage, so have asked for help.
The employee who abruptly asked what I wanted then delegates to the other employee, "you can go help, I'm going on my break at five. " Bunnings! Where do you did these people? ! Is it a prerequisite for 90% of the workforce to NOT provide customer service? ! This attitude is a disgrace. The employee who did help me, was fine, but was clearly annoyed that the lazy co-worker (whom I had asked for help) had hand-balled a job so she could go on a break in 15 minutes time.
In the end, I decided that the service was so rubbish and I was so annoyed, I'll spend the extra money and go to a plumbing shop and but what I want. I may actually get some service! The staff need a reminder that they are in customer service and even when they can't be bothered (and we all have those days) the customer should never know. And if you're five minutes late to take a break, you won't die. You might just make some more money in sales for your employer.

This below is my review from around March 2020.
I generally navigate the store and find what I'm after without needing help. Today I asked for help in the tool shop and was told to look for an item in the wrong area, this was after doing 2 laps and looking without luck. I headed to the 'area' I was told they would be in with the vague gesture of the staff member. I again asked for help when still not being able to locate what I was after; I was handed off onto another staff member that was busy. As such, I left to find someone else to help and was helped by a lovely staff member (hence the 3 stars and not 1). I was taken to the item by this member of staff and completed my purchase. I understand that the store is big, we're only human, and won't always get it right. But a complete disinterest in the needs of a customer and not even so much as a sorry for giving the wrong information is what ruined the experience. Not only was the customer service almost non-existent; this member of staff stood at the counter chewing gum and popping it whilst I waited for help. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have lost their jobs in recent times due to businesses being forced to close that would be happy and grateful to turn up each day and provide outstanding service. Not good, Bunnings.

Guy behind the paint counter was stressed and rude. Never going back there for paint that's for sure.
