Brookside Shopping Centre reviews
53I went to the reject shop which is located next to the main shopping complex. But the main centre has mist of what you might need.
Small mall, ticks all your boxes for groceries, pharmacy and household needs. No food court anymore, just coffee shops and a couple sushi joints.
First time here found it clean easy parking near doors to shops,
Had lunch at shingle inn they had a couple of issues but that didn't effect the food. Tk Max was nice to shop in pity they don't have zip or afterpay
Wasn't a packed centre
Nice and handy shopping centre.
Has everything you need.
Plenty of parking.
Not over the top huge, so it's a lite walk from end to end.
We like this centre because it's quiet and has excellent shops. The toilets are clean and both K Mart and Big W shops are very helpful. Their prices are good and especially the toy sections are excellent. They have a very large selection of children's books, games and clothes
Ease of access, plenty of parking, covid safe environment with plenty of hand sanitising stations, plenty of shops and food courts.
Plenty of parking underground with escalators to take you into the centre. It's also has above ground parking, both areas have senior, disability and parent with pram's parking, that are all nice and close to the entrance. This centre has heaps of shops without walking forever to see them all. It has a range of great clothing stores like cotton on, loara Jane, Tkmax, City beach and rockmans and other boutiques and many more I have not mentioned. To be honest you are spoilt for choice. Shoe stores, bag stores and 2 supermarkets a Woolworths and a Coles. It has a brand new Target and Big W, a Bargain store. Brookside has a chemist and a doctor surgery inside beside each other, which is handy for filling your prescriptions. Newsagents and plenty of coffee shops/cafes at both ends of the centre. It has a book shop a lowes a few banks, a Bank of Queeensland a Commonwealth bank a Suncorp and a Westpac and a heritage bank which are all manned banks. There is a sports store and a Robins kitchen. It also has an Opsm and a Spec savers for anyone looking for glasses. Has a couple of jewelry stores.a post office and a eatery for a great lunch nice and close to one of the best barbershop called Aldos u will find a health food shop near Coles. A butchers and a great bakery. Plenty of places to get your eyebrows or manicures done or even a massage. Plenty of seating to seat and rest while in between stores.
It also has a taxi tank and a bus stop right out front if it. Also close to mitchelton train station.
All up Brookside is a great center with all of your needs. Check it out you will not be disappointed.
As the crime rate is soaring in the area, try to avoid this place early morning or early evening. The security are only interested in 'illegal' skateboarding and will not show up if you're in real trouble or a real crime is being committed. Incredibly disappointing.
Great place with lots of different useful stores, including coles, woolworths, ebgames, jb-hi-fi, big w, myer and more
Personally, I love this shopping centre. It's no where near a busy as the other supermarkets. Easy to park, has enough department and speciality stores and the food options just continue to get better.
Nice local shopping centre serving the Mitchelton and surrounding suburbs. This centre has both Coles and Woolies, Target and Big W but no Kmart. There used to be a multi-level Myer but closed for a few years now. I used to come here as a kid and the centre has changed throughout the decades. One of my favourite thing is the free undercover parking.
Plenty of Wheelchair parking and access to the Centre was great, my Carers had no problem with pushing my Chair around. The DISABLED toilets were very easy to access and were spotless.
Really needs a food court. There use to be one, and I thought they were going to make a new one, but they haven’t. There’s small eateries spread out across the whole length of the centre, but no real food court.
They always seem to be ‘trying’ to add new shops and bring more people in, which I appreciate, but something just feels missing.
It’s a clean and tidy centre with a great Woolworths. Shops adhering to covid practices, thou walkway areas is next to none between 10-12 peak time Saturday. The range of shops are directed at a older population, but still good for usual grocery trips.
Heritage bank staff always friendly and helpful with any questions I ask.
Big W had cheap gift packs for Xmas presents for all my family
This shopping centre wears it's "do not resuscitate" label on its sleeve. Definitely would not suggest it for window shopping. If you need Big W or a supermarket and it's around the corner, sure, but it's a sad place for free-range commerce. Hate to be harsh but it's had a decade to improve and has instead declined.
Seen how this placed has renovated since 2014. Many changes made since the last time I've been there however I do miss the old food court alongside with the old sushi place. Overall great place to shop and grab a bite whilst reading, surfing the web or playing the piano. Much improvement in variety of shops however which could help Brookside become a big shopping centre.
The centre had definitely had a revitalisation side I've been here last k12 months or so ago). A decent amount of well-laid-out shops to explore for a smaller suburban center, a nice cafe (peacocks and peonies), and everywhere I went I received exceptional service. While this center doesn't have everything, it is relatively quiet, I've never had a problem finding a decent park, and it has big w plus target for your general stuff, woolworths and coles plus specialty meat and fruit /vege stores for your grocery shopping, and a friendly post office too. Worth considering as an alternative shopping stop if you live in the area.
It's Woolworths, not good as a corporate citizen in my opinion (a bad citizen in fact), but functionality the store is clean and has a good selection of produce and products.
Really great staff and friendly service as well as easy to navigate and locate different places. Really great environment. Would recommend highly for anything even finding gifts to grocery shopping. Great place for anything you need.
