Some of the best jazz you'll hear in Brisbane, with friendly and helpful bar staff. With a great selection of nibbles and delicious food, cooked to order

A great jazz club on the edge of Brissy river in Kangaroo Point. Run by a wonderful team and great services by volunteers. Table drink service means you can sit back and watch the show and delicious food provided by the Story Bridge Hotel staff on site. A great date night or a catch up in a small intimate group.

Great place. A hidden Gem & surprise in Brisbane. The food was amazing, the baked chicken breast was to die for. The band on the night was toe Tappin good also.

Wonderful staff, food and music. Covid restrictions have limited the amount of people allowed in.

Highly recommend for great Jazz and a lovely venue.

Great location on the river front. The meals are amazing especially the Pork Belly. Loves the jam night and great atmosphere. It was our first visit and we will be back.

Great spot on the river with genuine music in a cabaret-style atmosphere where you have meals at you private intimate table. Volunteers and staff are exceptional.

Booked a table outside for two at 6: 10 when doors opened at 6: 30pm. Student tickets were cheap, although my partner forgot her ID but the lady at the front was understanding and we paid the difference up to the next ticket price. Upon arrival everyone was extremely wonderful and hospitable. We had the whole outside marqee area to ourselves which was impressive for a Saturday night. Blankets were offered to us as it was a bit chilly, they were much needed and appreciated.

Service is great, they didn't forget about us even though we were the only ones outside. A table up the back inside freed up and the Manager asked if we wanted to move inside which ended up being a great move! Music was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. Food and drinks service was pleasant as well!

We had a really fun night and highly recommend it for anyone looking for something relaxing and different to do on a date night.

Similarly to another review, the TV broadcasting the jazz band did lag a bit. If you end up getting an outdoor be prepared to just enjoy the view, company, and listening to music rather than actually watching the band.

I highly recommend checking it out it was an awesome experience!

Some of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. Music was incredible and the general vibe there is a wonderful mix of upbeat and relaxed. Truly can't wait to return!

The 8 Tracks had the crowd in rapture with their high energy Motown sound. Wonderful harmonies, fantastic music & innovative arrangement of some old classics. BJC is a licensed venue with terrific acoustics & staff who understand hospitality.

Always a pleasure to spend time at the Jazz Club. Great atmosphere. On a slight downside the table by the window was warm.

We had a good night at The Brisbane Jazz Club at a Music for Tango night.
My last visit was 16 months ago, before covid-19 restrictions and it was summer then and we nearly froze with the air conditioning!
Last night it was more pleasant, although I was well rugged up.

The staff were very welcoming and it's a comfortable enough venue with some glass windows looking over the river. The viewing to the main 'stage' area, although it's not a stage, can be a little restricted but there's a TV screen to help out.

With covid regulations the tables are well-spaced and cleaned between guests. The staff are constantly topping up water glasses and do a great job of the service. I found them all very polite and prompt without any arrogance - which was very refreshing!

We ordered entrees and main courses from the menu and the meals were lovely fresh and well presented. Entrees for $15 to $16 and main courses $25 to $28. See photos.

There are good bathroom and toilet facilities that are very clean. There's a small car park that belongs to the Club for visitors, otherwise it's street parking a short distance away around the area.

A unique night out with a friendly vibe.

Love BJC. Great volunteer staff, yummy menu from the Story Bridge Hotel and best of all, some exceptional local and national bands and artists.

Got outdoor tickets. $25 to listen to jazz through a poor quality speaker and watch low resolution “security footage” of the band playing on a tv. All while being drenched in the stench of grease from the kitchen. It’s greedy to sell at that price.

The venue inside looked lovely but those tickets were sold out. Could have stayed home and watched jazz on YouTube for a better experience.

This long standing, historical club offers outstanding performer's, brilliant sound dynamics and breathtaking river / city views, coupled with a very relaxed atmosphere, great service, food (chefs from the SBH), liquid refreshments and low cost entertainment.

It is such a great venue, unpretentious and full of wonderful people who volunteer. They are always accommodating and the service is excellent. I enjoy the diversity of the different acts and feel that the venue is so special as it is situated on the Brisbane River.

Loved the Brisbane Jazz Club. Beautiful setting, amazing music, THE most hospitable volunteer staff looking after us. And AMAZING food from Story Bridge Catering. So many reasons to go back. And did I mention the view! Cant wait to go back again. Newbie mistake tho, plan ahead and make sure you ring and make a booking.
