Australian Karate Academy reviews
53After the very first class we were hooked to the positive energy of the doji. All members demonstrated a willingness to help us grow within the sport. We were welcomed with open arms and encouraged to challenge ourselves in a safe environment. All staff are extremely knowledgeable weaving the history of Karate into every class. Highly recommend.
If your looking for DIY tips such as waxing on and off, sanding and painting this isn’t the place, Mind you Cheyne May know his way around a Bunnings or two, but you will learn real moves, names and techniques of karate.
I have been going for 2 weeks now and sensei Cheyne is an awesome teacher, making everyone feel welcome and apart of the group.
Getting fit is a main goal for me and with these classes I can really feel it after every lesson.
Highly recommend for everyone
My children love to do Karate at AKA! Family owned and clean dojo to practice. We love to go every week.
A lovely family owned Martial Arts class. We have been taking our children there for 3 years now and have loved seeing how much they have progressed. A very professional environment, yet lots of fun for them too, which keeps them motivated, flexible, fit and disciplined.
My 6 year old son Ryan attends Australian Karate Academy and the communication is great and he enjoys learning Karate
My 6yo attends. He tried other places but wouldn't join. Cheyne sensei is v.good with kids and he felt comfortable and wanted to join. He's now been there nearly 2y and still loves it
A really great atmosphere where I felt welcome and supported as a newcomer and karate first-timer. Everyone is patient and helpful and it's lots of fun.
Instructors are awesome, safe and clean Dojo for kids. My son join when he was 4yrs old, loves it and looking forward to every single lesson still, no where else I would recommend.
All three of our boys attend karate here and they love it! Great for building up confidence and coordination skills. The instructors are wonderful.

The team at Aust Karate Academy are awesome! Great instruction, friendly and knowledgeable teachers and they make it super fun and accessible for kids. Highly recommended.
Kids love it. They make it fun and teaching good discipline. The teachers are great with the kids. And during COVID lock down - karate online was fantastically organised. Always organised. We've tried elsewhere, but Sensei Cheyne is the best.
My 6 year old son Conor really enjoys going to karate each week and I’ve begun to see him develop better focus on activities at home and school.
It was a pleasure to attend the amazing Karate classes that was run by a person who have a passion and patience for it. My two boys enjoyed very much and 100% they will come back if the time allows us. (RIDWAAN and SALMAN’s mum).
Cheyne McMahon, —- very amazing and friendly person.my boys already miss him. WE coming back soon.
Australian Karate Academy Salisbury, is a great place for kids, we have our 6 yo son in a weekly class and he always looks forward to going and participating. It seems to have become even more popular over the last six months. Good work AKA +

Australian Karate Academy (AKA) provides an excellent place to train and learn about Karate. Many aspects are covered from basics, Kata, Kumite (sparring) as well as history and weapons.
I would recommend AKA to new or experienced Karate students.
Got really turned off Karate from experiences at another undisclosed Karate "club". So it was really refreshing to come into a Dojo! That showed me that Karate can be fun, and there really is a lot to learn.
