Active Life Fitness / Club Lime Norman Park reviews
47 Can you move the bike rack back more so the front wheel of the bike doesn't fall through when you try to park it there, it is difficult to park without scraping paint off the part above the wheel.
Unscrewing the rack and rescrewing it half a meter back will do the trick.
A well sized gym with full facilities and EXCELLENT staff! I was fortunate to be looked after by Javier who was welcoming, made my visit straight forward and all round great service!
The place isn’t bad but maaan the aircon is nuts. Especially when working out. I feel like I’m gonna get sick everytime I come in here
Not a bad gym. But a lot of the equipment is very tired or completely out of order. 5 of the 8 treadmills has been out of order since I became a member (4 months). Clearly not one dollar in the maintenance budget. The staff are fantastic though but think twice about joining if you plan to go in peak times as most of the cardio equipment will be in use due to no maintenance.
As the other members mentioned this place has been deteriorated in the last years. I have about 7 years of membership with this gym and my experience changed from great to horrible since Club Lime has taken it over. I used to love to go to the spinning classes 3 times per week and now there is only one class per week at 7 am. Members don't have enough cardio workout options and many of treadmills are often "out of order". Also, the water bubble in the weigh room does not have cool water what make the experience in this gym even more unpleasant.
I love go to the Gym and I choose this one because it's very close to my house.
However the machine are very old, and half of those in the cardio section are not working.such a shame because the gym it's huge and the people inside are very polite all the time.
I found the place very clean and all the customers clean after themselves because of covid!
The app to come in is very useful.
They have a swimming pool but I never tried.
As a family we have been going to club lime gym (including healthworks and activelife) for a decade; however, this gym has deteriorated significantly since club lime has taken over. The roof leaks, there are puddles of water/buckets everywhere when it rains, which is a work place health and safety issue. Outside of the gym managers, staff are more interested in planning what's happening over the weekend than even bothering to say hello to you as you walk in.
At any given time half the cardio machines don't work and it's the same with the TVs. I use to do the classes, which have also dropped off as they didn't get the appropriate council license.
I'm sure I'll get the token response saying please contact something @clublime to share your grievances just as bland as that response is, you're better of going to another basic franchise gym as this place is ripping you off. As seen by the other recent comments some basic changes would go a long way as you've just lost a customer that is expected to pay upwards of $20,000 in lifetime fees - do better club lime management.
Great gym, good equipment and the best PT this side of Brisbane. Highly recommended and reasonable pricing.
Used to be a great gym. Now they don't fix any of the equipment because apparently head office won't give them.funding
Since taken over by Club Lime, the equipment has not been maintained and the membership price has gone up multiple times. Multiple pieces of equipment have been out of service for months.
My only regret about cancelling my membership is that I didn't do it sooner.
Used to be great when it was Active Life but since Lime has taken over the standard has dropped a lot.please get your act together or memberships WILL drop.
Club Lime Norman Park used to be one of the best Gyms in Brisbane when it was operated as Active Life. However, since Club Lime have purchased the business, unfortunately the once well maintained equipment is in poor condition or even unusable. Hope they listen to their members and lift their service.
It used to be a nice gym with plenty of classes and good instructors. Recently they cancelled many classes and terminated employment of very experienced and highly professional instructors including Dina and Kerrie. Instead they hired young and inexperienced. Equipment in the class is completely outdated as well. I won’t be continuing with this gym any longer and I’ve been a member there for 5 years.
Unfortunately even though the gym is lovely some of the staff aren’t. When ringing up to fix a problem I spoke to a person named Izzie. After being spoken to rudely on the phone multiple times, when I asked for one thing to be done they were blunt, abrupt and then hung up on me. Definitely not a great feeling to receive from someone who is “there to help you”.
I love the gym and all the facilities and want to make special mention of one of the trainers, Weston. He is an absolute legend and so knowledgeable in his craft. Makes all the sessions enjoyable, particularly Strength and Mobility and his HIIT workouts. Will always be a member if Weston is running his classes
I really love the classes at Club Lime, especially Christian’s HIIT class on a Monday and Wednesday and also Paula’s Thursday night back to back classes. A1. I know there has been a recent transition from Active Life to Club Lime but they have kept the class timetable the same which I know everyone is happy with.
I made a booking online for squash court, but they allocated the court to another member. Their online booking system is broken.
Been coming here for about a year now and It's the best gym I've been too! Marty and the team are great, have a super easy booking system for the classes and the pilates is lovely!:)
Active Life Fitness are fantastic at collaborating with small and local businesses. They run several giveaways, open days and promotions for their members and the community and they always getting businesses involved. As a small business owner (with my business online - Luce Palms), I appreciate the exposure and the networking. I have also personally met other amazing local businesses through ALF. This is the kind of service, collaboration and community that you don't get from other gyms. If you are a local business in the area, make sure you pop in and say hi to the manager Marty and become part of their community:)
Would recommend!
The crew at Active Life CARES; from the Members, Trainers (contractors) and themselves as a business - They have a "We ALL can win" Attitude, which is a big part that is missing from the big chain gyms.
The staff genuinely care about the facility and the members achieving their goals.
The facility itself is very well equipped and the renovations were definitely worthwhile.
